Daily Inspiration for Living A Course in Miracles
Being Willing to Be Happy
To be happy, we need to let go of the wish to be unhappy. To wish to be a separate identity, with private thoughts and a “life” we can call our own is the wish to be separate from the Source of all happiness. Happiness and joy are attributes of Love. The choice to be separate from the Source of Love is the denial of happiness.
Thus the antidote for unhappiness is to choose to accept that we remain one with Love, our Source. To let go of our mistaken choices for separation, we need to let the Holy Spirit guide all our thoughts, all our perceptions, all our actions.
The willingness to do this comes with the recognition that of ourselves alone, we know nothing. This is how we disconnect from the ego thought system as our mechanism of choice and make way for the Holy Spirit’s thought system of oneness to be our Guide in all things. Today is a happy day of practice in letting the Holy Spirit be our Guide in all things.
