Choosing True Happiness

Only God’s plan for salvation will work.

All things are possible to God. Salvation must be yours because of His plan, which cannot fail.

Ask Him very specifically:

What would You have me do?
Where would You have me go?
What would You have me say, and to whom?

Give Him full charge of the rest of [your life], and let Him tell you what needs to be done by you in His plan for your salvation. He will answer in proportion to your willingness to hear His Voice. We think what will make us happy is our salvation. The ego has a plan to make us happy if we believe specialness and separation is what we want. It has myriad schemes to make us happy. But none of them satisfy because the best it can offer are illusions of specialness that cannot last. The ego’s plans are always guided by the its goal of seek and do not find.

God’s Will for us is perfect happiness because He shares all His joy with His Sons. His plan for our salvation is thus the plan that will bring us eternal happiness. In every moment we choose between the ego’s plan that will never satisfy and God’s plan that brings us eternal happiness.

Our best choice for happiness is obvious were it not for our wish for specialness. This wish denies God’s gift because God does not give to some and not others. God’s gifts are given equally to all. The practice of forgiving the wish for specialness welcomes God’s plan for our happiness.

Today we choose to walk hand in hand with the Holy Spirit, letting Him guide all our perceptions. He will purify our misperceptions so that we can see the Reality of Love everywhere and experience the joy of joining with Love.
