Letting Our Thoughts Be Purified

Our only real thoughts are the Thoughts we share with God. These Thoughts are extensions of Love. They are our co-creations with God.

When we identify with being a separate individual in a body, we become unaware of our real Thoughts, which know only unity with all Love without limitation or form. So the thoughts that we are aware of as a separate individual need to be cleansed of the belief that separation is real. This purification is the Holy Spirit’s function.

Because we have bought into the idea that we are separate from God and from “others,” we are confused about what real Thoughts are. We need the Holy Spirit to help us sift out the mistaken images that hide the truth so that the purity of Love’s Light can shine in our minds. This is forgiveness. This is the Holy Spirit’s function in our minds. When we are willing to share our thoughts with Holy Spirit and are open to receive His vision in place of our image making, we are letting Holy Spirit purify our thoughts.

Today our practice is to keep our minds open and ask the Holy Spirit to show us the truth beyond all the images we perceive in the world. With this practice, every moment becomes an opportunity for forgiveness and healing. Every moment is a step toward joining with the joy of Heaven.

Accepting the Tranquil Mind

God is very quiet because there is no conflict in Him. As we do our forgiveness work each day, it is helpful to remember that we are always choosing between the peace of the Holy Spirit and the conflict of the ego. It is helpful to ask frequently throughout the day, “What state of mind am I dwelling in right now? Are my thoughts reflecting the unity of Holy Spirit’s peace or the chaos of belief in separation? Am I in a place where I am accepting an easy unfolding or am I relying on my past learning? Am I letting Holy Spirit lead me or am I deciding on my own?”

The Course tells us that in quietness all problems are quietly resolved. The practice of frequently connecting with the Tranquil Mind within, our true Self, opens the way to be gently led on a path of easy unfolding that brings us back to full awareness that we live in God. All this comes with our practice of accepting the Tranquil Mind as we go through this day.

Today We Open to the Truth

In truth God has shared all of Himself with everyone in this world. In truth there are no divisions, no differences of any kind. In truth we all still remain as God’s perfect Love, and nothing has happened to change God’s one Son.

Today we make room for letting in and accepting the truth… We make room for remembering God’s eternal peace… We let the veil be lifted to remember our eternal safety and joy in God… Today we would remember that we are still as God created us and that we are one with all of Heaven now… We loose the world from all we thought it was and receive the miracle of returning to our true Identity…

The time to open to the truth is right now… This is our practice for today.

Releasing Artificial Values

Our greatest experience of joy comes when we feel the Love within connect with the Love in our brother. Gratitude overflows. This is actually our natural state. We don’t experience this consistently only because we give more value to things in the world. These artificial values given to made up images stand in the way of the experience of perfect happiness. It is these artificial values that we must learn to recognize and release.

Our inner Teacher, the Voice for God, is always on call to help us recognize these false values and show us the truth beyond them. This is how we forgive, let go of artificial values and recognize the value of the Love we are and share with everyone.

Today our practice is to walk with Holy Spirit and let Him teach us to recognize the valueless and the truly valuable. With this recognition, we will naturally let go of the interference and let the joy of our one Self be revealed and experienced.

Finding Completion Within

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all of the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. It is not necessary to seek for what is true, but it is necessary to seek for what is false. Every illusion is one of fear, whatever form it takes. And the attempt to escape from one illusion into another must fail. If you seek love outside yourself you can be certain that you perceive hatred within, and are afraid of it. Yet peace will never come from the illusion of love, but only from its reality.

To lift the veil that seems so dark and heavy, it is only needful to value truth beyond all fantasy, and to be entirely unwilling to settle for illusion in place of truth. (A Course in Miracles T-16.IV.6;10:4)

God created His Son complete, giving all of Himself to His creation. Collectively we are God’s Son. We are complete. We were given everything that is; there is nothing else to seek. In this world everyone is seeking completion because everyone believes they are separate from God, their Completion.

If we follow the ego’s guidance, we will seek for love through external images, where Love cannot be found. The path to completion is through letting go of seeing value in anything in the world of form. This is forgiveness. The world of form is a veil that hides the unity of Love That is our Source.

To return to the joy of Heaven, we need to seek out all the beliefs, all the barriers to the awareness of Love’s presence, and bring them to the Holy Spirit with willingness to be shown the Truth beyond the illusionary barriers. We have had mistaken values, but with Holy Spirit’s help we can recognize where there is no value and lift the veil that reveals the Presence of all Value. This is our focus today.

Being an Ally of God

The power of God and all His Love, without limit, will support you as you seek only your place in the plan of Atonement arising from His Love. Be an ally of God and not the ego in seeking how Atonement can come to you. His help suffices, for His Messenger understands how to restore the Kingdom to you, and to place all your investment in salvation in your relationship with Him. (A Course in Miracles T-16.VII.10:2-4)

We find God’s Messenger within as we are willing to quiet our minds and join with our inner Voice for truth… In quietness our inner Teacher can be heard… We allow time for quiet inner listening…

Everything we need to awaken from the dream of separation is given as we place our faith in the Light of truth within. Here we receive God’s peace. Here we receive our part in the plan of Atonement. Here we are taught how to see as our true Self sees and recognize our oneness in God.

My Prayer of Accepting Love’s Gentleness and Patience

Love, I surrender to Your gentle and patient care… I let go of my perceptions of a past… I let go of my perceptions of a future… I accept only Your eternal loving Presence…

I have no need to plan for my safety. My needs are provided for continuously in Your gentle and patient care.

I let go of all I thought the world was. I let go of all I thought my brothers were. I give back to You all I thought was mine alone.

I accept Love’s gentleness and patience by giving Love’s gentleness and patience to the whole Sonship.
