What Is the Truth?

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Ask yourself frequently today: What am I and where am I? Then let the Holy Spirit — your true Self — answer for you…

Let the Light of peace and joy enter your mind as you lay down your barriers to the awareness of Love’s Presence… Let yourself rest in this Presence… All inspiration that is truly helpful lies here. Let yourself be aware of the truth of Love’s oneness today.

Robert:
As I practice applying the principles from A Course in Miracles, it becomes more and more clear to me that everything I perceive, everything that seems to happen to me, comes from my own mind. Sometimes when I recognize how I set up a seeming problem by my own unconscious thoughts and actions, I have to laugh. What seemed to be an irritating problem has become clearly of my own making. And in that recognition, I stop making the problem!

It is just denial that keeps me from recognizing all my problems have been solved. What makes some problems seem more difficult than others is only my unconscious desire to keep separation real. It doesn’t seem that this is what I want, but that’s why its called unconscious. The ego is highly skilled at denial and sublimation. After all, it got its start with the denial of God’s Love. The seemingly hidden wishes that hold the world of form in place need to be recognized for what they are. The 1,200 pages of ACIM are there to help us come to this recognition.

My prayer today is: Holy Spirit, help me to see as You see. Help me to strengthen my willingness to question everything in the world and open my mind and heart to Your interpretation. Help me to see the Love that is always there to see. Thank You.

Surfing with Spirit

Mary:
In our reading of A Course in Miracles this morning, this is what stood out to me: “There is no difference among the Sons of God. The unity that specialness denies will save them all, for what is one can have no specialness. And everything belongs to each of them.” (T-26.VII.19:5-7)

I need this reminder that in truth there are no differences among the Sons of God, and that only our unity is true. We are all the same Light of God. The differences that seem to be real in fact are just illusions within the ego’s framework of deception. My job today is to practice allowing the ego veil to be lifted so that I see the Light that is always there behind every appearance of differences. It is my opportunity to let my mind be healed today.

Robert:
A skilled surfer has learned to keep his focus on the present moment to successfully ride the wave. If he is distracted by thoughts of the past or wondering about the future, the wave will overtake him. But as he keeps his attention on the present, he is able to follow the flow of the wave and let it carry him to the peaceful shore.

This is a great metaphor for following Holy Spirit’s wave to let it carry me to the shores of peace. I must keep my focus on the present moment. In the present moment Holy Spirit is always there, giving me the signals I need to follow His wave. It is not my job to make the wave or try to direct the wave. It is my job to follow the wave of the Holy Spirit in the present. When my focus is on the present moment, the flow is easy, the ride is effortless and I am carried to peace. Today I will practice being present to ride Holy Spirit’s wave.

Returning Home to Joy

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Joy is the effect of forgiveness as misery is the effect of judgment. Every judgment you hold onto draws you deeper into fear, guilt and depression. Every judgment you release clears the way for Love’s joy to flow across your holy mind. This is why your one special function is to forgive all judgments. Let them go; they do not serve you. Each time you let a judgment go you are being truly helpful to yourself and your brothers.

Walk with Me today. See with Me today. Share My thoughts and together we will loose the world from all you thought it was, clearing the way for joy’s return.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Let today be a day of receiving and extending peace… Let today be a day of opening your mind to the Light of Love within you… Let today be a day of allowing the awareness of Love’s Oneness to return to your mind… Let today be a day of remembering that your true Home is where you are eternally… Let today be a day of extending the peace and unity that comes with remembering your true Home…

My Best Friend

Holy Spirit to Mary:
The key to listening to My guidance is to stay relaxed… If you notice yourself tensing up for any reason, this is a clue that your thoughts are putting up barriers to the awareness of My Presence. It is helpful to monitor your level of peace… It is helpful to monitor your state of mind… It is helpful to pause frequently and put out the “welcome mat” to let My Light shine through…

Open your inner doors and windows to receive My peace and understanding… I will show you the difference between the real and the unreal… I will dissipate your fear thoughts… I will show you what is important and what is truly unimportant…

Let Me hold your hand today and guide you past illusions to the truth… You are worthy of receiving My help. I am your dearest Friend, whether you are aware of it or not. Let Me be your inner Comforter when fear thoughts rise up for healing. I am with you all through the day. Take My Hand and I will bring you to the awareness of the simple, uncomplicated Love that is everywhere. Let us join today for this one purpose.

Robert:
I am truly blessed to be able to spend all day, every day with my best friend in the world. I appreciate the support that comes with our shared purpose. I feel it accelerates my awakening. Every day I express my gratitude for this gift.

As meaningful and helpful as this is to me, it is but a taste of the gifts that are offered me in every moment by the Friend That is ever present in my mind. This Friend always knows what is truly helpful, not only for me, but for everyone. This Friend sees the illusions that I see, but does not believe any of them. This Friend is ever-ready to teach me to recognize the difference between the real and the unreal.

This Friend welcomes my offerings of fear and guilt thoughts, for He is delighted to offer the gift of Love in exchange. As I am willing to accept the gifts of this Friend and see What He sees, my appreciation for my best friend in the world grows and extends to all my brothers. And I remember that everyone is my best friend, without exception. This is how I come to the real world, the lawns of Heaven, ready to accept my place in Heaven, which I never truly left.

Letting Inspiration Flow

Mary:
We recently received a set of remarkable CDs that were sent to us by Rev. Mary Lenihan. These CD’s are an audio recording of her new “WNYHOO-NOW! program, which is about being inspired to be truly helpful. We found listening to these CDs to be uplifting, playful and fun, yet they go into great depth into the core elements of awakening from ego thinking (cubicle mind thinking).

One of the things that stood out to me that Mary emphasized is the importance of pausing frequently to allow the Inspiring Self Mind (Holy Spirit) to do Its inspiring work. Today my practice is to pause frequently and ask the Holy Spirit for inspiration in the moment.

If I think I already know, I will not pause, I will not ask. My true Self is always there to lead me in what is most truly helpful every moment of the day. Today I have another opportunity to be led out of the dream of separation, where I will experience and feel the peace and joy of our one united Self. The Christ is all there is to see. Today I will pause frequently to become aware of this Reality.

Robert:
At the end of Chapter 31 of the Text of A Course in Miracles, we are reminded that every temptation to view ourselves as separate is an opportunity to choose once again. It is important for me to see every moment as an opportunity, not cause for judgment of others or myself. In the moment I may be caught up in ego thinking and judging, but it is still an opportunity to choose again. And so I look forward to the many opportunities today will bring for me to choose once again to see with the vision of Christ and let Love inspire all my doing.

I Want to Remember Love

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Relax and let yourself be carried today… Pay attention the the fact that I am with you, guiding you all through the day… You need make no decisions on your own. Pause frequently today and listen in quiet… Let Me lead the way. Let yourself feel the gentleness and peace that come with holding My Hand all through the day… Step back and follow… Relax… Soften… and follow the flow of peace… Let yourself be carried where peace leads you…

Hand all worry thoughts to Me. I know what to do with them. You need not keep them and make them your own. You do not need the pain they bring.

Remember that I am with you every moment. Receive the inspiration I bring. You will know you are following My lead when you feel My gifts of peace and joy… Together we have a happy day and send blessings to the world.

Robert:
My prayer today: I offer all my thoughts to You, Holy Spirit. I welcome Your interpretation of all the images I seem to see. I want to learn to see as You see. I want to remember the Love I was created to be. I want to remember the Love that is my brother, who is one with me. I thank You for Your gift of vision, which leads me Home.

Only Be Quiet

Mary:
What I found most helpful in our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning was the following:

Today He speaks to you. His Voice awaits your silence, for His Word can not be heard until your mind is quiet for a while, and meaningless desires have been stilled. Await His Word in quiet. There is peace within you to be called upon today, to help make ready your most holy mind to hear the Voice for its Creator speak.

Only be quiet. You will need no rule but this, to let your practicing today lift you above the thinking of the world, and free your vision from the body’s eyes. Only be still and listen. You will hear the Word in which the Will of God the Son joins in his Father’s Will, at one with it, with no illusions interposed between the wholly indivisible and true. As every hour passes by today, be still a moment and remind yourself you have a special purpose for this day; in quiet to receive the Word of God. (W-pI.125.6,9)

It is my opportunity and joy today to follow this message encouraging me to let my mind be still and receive the truth. This practice will bring me happiness, joy and peace. This is my practice for today.

Robert:
It is reassuring to me that there is a peace within me I can call upon to make my mind ready to hear the Holy Spirit. The peace I need is already in my mind. I don’t have to go searching for it. I don’t have to find the right “circumstances” in the world to find peace. The peace I need is already in me. I need only be willing to step back from the ego chatter in my mind and let the peace that is in me rise up to my awareness. It is this peace that opens the door to God’s Voice.

Today I will practice stepping back and making way for the peace in my mind to rise up to my awareness. This is how I will clearly receive the Holy Spirit’s guidance moment by moment.
