Being in the Eternal Flow of Love

Today I will judge nothing that occurs.

I will be honest with myself today. ²I will not think that I already know what must remain beyond my present grasp. ³I will not think I understand the whole from bits of my perception, which are all that I can see. ⁴Today I recognize that this is so. ⁵And so I am relieved of judgments that I cannot make. ⁶Thus do I free myself and what I look upon, to be in peace as God created us.

Father, today I leave creation free to be itself. ²I honor all its parts, in which I am included. ³We are one because each part contains Your memory, and truth must shine in all of us as one. (A Course in Miracles, W-243. See also ACIM Lesson 243 Insights.)

The Light of Truth is in everyone. But this Light cannot be seen by the body’s eyes. It is the Light of Love, which has no form, being everywhere, without limit. Our true Self sees this Light, for It is Its Home.

Today we choose to give priority to the vision of our true Self. This Self sees only the truth and disregards the forms of the dream. With this vision, we recognize the Love that Is the Truth in everyone. We know we are safe in this Love, for It is unchangeable and eternal.

Following this vision, we walk in gratitude, for we are part of the eternal flow of Love to Itself.

Step Back and Welcome Love

Love holds no grievances.

²Grievances are completely alien to love. ³Grievances attack love and keep its light obscure. ⁴If I hold grievances I am attacking love, and therefore attacking my Self. ⁵My Self thus becomes alien to me. ⁶I am determined not to attack my Self today, so that I can remember Who I am.

²This is no justification for denying my Self.
³I will not use this to attack love.

Anytime we are sad, discouraged, disappointed, frustrated, impatient, uncertain, lonely, afraid, angry or feeling guilty, we are denying our Self. We are denying our oneness in Love. Whenever we experience any emotions like these, it is time to step back and ask for help to remember the Love we are.

God remains eternally connected with His extensions of Love, His Son. The Self we are is Love and nothing else. Whenever we experience anything but the certainty of peace, happiness and Love, we are identifying with a false image.

But w We see the Love that is the one Self which unites us with everyone. We dwell in Love. As we accept this fact, we find peace. We appreciate every brother for What he Is. We are grateful to recognize him as part of our one Self. We are grateful to join with everyone in our Home in the Love of God.

Remembering Eternal Love in Everyone

There is no need for help to enter Heaven for you have never left. ²But there is need for help beyond yourself as you are circumscribed by false beliefs of your Identity, which God alone established in reality. ³Helpers are given you in many forms, although upon the altar they are one. ⁴Beyond each one there is a Thought of God, and this will never change.

The name of Jesus is the name of one who was a man but saw the face of Christ in all his brothers and remembered God. ²So he became identified with Christ, a man no longer, but at one with God. ³The man was an illusion, for he seemed to be a separate being, walking by himself, within a body that appeared to hold his self from Self, as all illusions do. ⁴Yet who can save unless he sees illusions and then identifies them as what they are? ⁵Jesus remains a Savior because he saw the false without accepting it as true.

⁸Yet still it is his lesson most of all that he would have you learn, and it is this:

⁹There is no death because the Son of God is like his Father. ¹⁰Nothing you can do can change Eternal Love. ¹¹Forget your dreams of sin and guilt, and come with me instead to share the resurrection of God’s Son. ¹²And bring with you all those whom He has sent to you to care for as I care for you. (A Course in Miracles, C-5.1:1-4;2:1-5;6:8-12)

Our Self is the extension of changeless Eternal Love. Thus it can never die. This Self shares the peace and joy that are aspects of Eternal Love. This is what we will remember when we awaken from the dream of separation.

We need help from beyond our limited separate-self identity to awaken. When we accept the Help of Christ we learn to see with Christ’s vision. We recognize the unreality of form and see the reality of Love in everyone. As we let His vision be our guide, we remember God and become saviors to the world.

Rising Above to Awaken to Love

I am in danger nowhere in the world.

Your Son is safe wherever he may be, for You are there with him. ²He need but call upon Your Name, and he will recollect his safety and Your Love, for they are one. ³How can he fear or doubt or fail to know he cannot suffer, be endangered, or experience unhappiness, when he belongs to You, beloved and loving, in the safety of Your Fatherly embrace?

And there we are in truth. ²No storms can come into the hallowed haven of our home. ³In God we are secure. ⁴For what can come to threaten God Himself, or make afraid what will forever be a part of Him? (A Course in Miracles, W-244. See also ACIM Lesson 244 Insights.)

We dwell in the safety of God’s eternal presence. He has kept His Son united with Himself. God has no opponent, for He is all of Reality.

But we can dream of being in opposition to our Father. In this dream we believe we have lost our connection with our safety and peace. It is a dream fraught with uncertainty and fear. We seek for Love and certainty, but it cannot be found in the dream. But we can step back from the dream and rise above it.

We ask the Holy Spirit for help to reconnect with the certainty of God’s Love. When we are willing to let go of our judgments to be replaced with the Holy Spirit’s judgment of real or unreal, we see the way to peace of mind. As we recognize the unreal for what it is, we dismiss it. We see our safety in God’s changeless Love. We know we are loved and loving.

Forgive the Past to Welcome Love Forever

I seek a future different from the past.

From new perception of the world there comes a future very different from the past. ²The future now is recognized as but extension of the present. ³Past mistakes can cast no shadows on it, so that fear has lost its idols and its images, and being formless, it has no effects. ⁴Death will not claim the future now, for life is now its goal, and all the needed means are happily provided. ⁵Who can grieve or suffer when the present has been freed, extending its security and peace into a quiet future filled with joy?

Father, we were mistaken in the past, and choose to use the present to be free. ²Now do we leave the future in Your Hands, leaving behind our past mistakes, and sure that You will keep Your present promises, and guide the future in their holy light. (A Course in Miracles, W-314. See also ACIM Lesson 314 Insights.)

All our sadness, fear and guilt come from guilty thoughts about the past. We believe that what happened in the past determines our future. We expect there to be future consequences from past mistakes. This belief traps us in a cycle of guilt and fear.

But the past is gone. Only our wish to keep the past in our mind gives them influence over our present state. The ego dwells on the past and projects a future that repeats the past. Now we need to remember that the past is gone. We have no need to bring the past to the present. In the present is God’s promise that we dwell in the oneness of Love forever. Love does not change. It is all that is real.

As we learn to forgive our wish to bring the past to the present we welcome the changeless Love that is ours now and forever. In this remembrance, we find peace and happiness.

Being a Messenger of Peace

Your peace is with me, Father. I am safe.

Your peace surrounds me, Father. ²Where I go, Your peace goes there with me. ³It sheds its light on everyone I meet. ⁴I bring it to the desolate and lonely and afraid. ⁵I give Your peace to those who suffer pain, or grieve for loss, or think they are bereft of hope and happiness. ⁶Send them to me, my Father. ⁷Let me bring Your peace with me. ⁸For I would save Your Son, as is Your Will, that I may come to recognize my Self.

And so we go in peace. ²To all the world we give the message that we have received. ³And thus we come to hear the Voice for God, Who speaks to us as we relate His Word; Whose Love we recognize because we share the Word that He has given unto us. (A Course in Miracles, W-245. See also ACIM Lesson 245 Insights.)

Peace comes with forgiveness. Judgment disturbs our peace because it denies the oneness of Love. When we let go of our opinions, our judgments about good and bad, right or wrong, we let our mind be open to the Holy Spirit’s true judgment.

His judgment is simple; He sees everything as either real or unreal. He dismisses the unreal as meaningless. Because only Love is real, He sees only Love or a call for Love.

As we turn over all judgment to the Holy Spirit, we will always answer with Love. And Love brings peace with It. Today we turn over all our perceptions to the Holy Spirit and l With this practice we will be messengers of peace.

Accepting Our Unity in Love

⁵God would not have Heaven incomplete. ⁶It waits for you, as I do. ⁷I am incomplete without your part in me. ⁸And as I am made whole we go together to our ancient home, prepared for us before time was and kept unchanged by time, immaculate and safe, as it will be at last when time is done.

²For this alone I need; that you will hear the words I speak, and give them to the world. ³You are my voice, my eyes, my feet, my hands through which I save the world. ⁴The Self from which I call to you is but your own. ⁵To Him we go together. ⁶Take your brother’s hand, for this is not a way we walk alone. ⁷In him I walk with you, and you with me. ⁸Our Father wills His Son be one with Him. ⁹What lives but must not then be one with you?

⁵You are His Son, completing His extension in your own. ⁶We practice but an ancient truth we knew before illusion seemed to claim the world. ⁷And we remind the world that it is free of all illusions every time we say:

⁸God is but Love, and therefore so am I. (A Course in Miracles, W-rV.in.8:5-8;9:2-9;10:5-8. See also ACIM Lesson 171 Insights.)

We are being taught to identify with our one Self. This Identity includes every brother, including Jesus. As we identify with this Self, we acknowledge that we are Love because we are God’s extension of His Love. Only Love is real, so we are Love, as is God.

It doesn’t seem that we are one Self. It doesn’t seem that we are Love because we have identified with a false image that is separate and alone. The practice of reminding ourselves that God is Love and therefore so are we is training our mind to accept the truth.

If we experience unhappiness, fear or anger, we have identified with a false image. We need to remember we remain as God created us. Love is What we are. Love is What every brother is.

Today we are acknowledging our true Self. As Love, we are one with every brother and our Creator.
