I Put Holy Spirit in Charge of My Thoughts Today

Let us today be children of the truth, and not deny our holy heritage. Our life is not as we imagine it. Who changes life because he shuts his eyes, or makes himself what he is not because he sleeps, and sees in dreams an opposite to what he is? We will not ask for death [separation] in any form today. Nor will we let imagined opposites to life abide even an instant where the Thought of life eternal has been set by God Himself.

His holy home we strive to keep today as He established it, and wills it be forever and forever. He is Lord of what we think today.” (A Course in Miracles W-pI.167.10,11:1-2)

Today my practice is to let go of the stories of separation. My practice is to let the Holy Spirit be in charge of what I think today. There is only one life, one mind. We are not separate people with separate minds. In order to put Holy Spirit in charge, I must let go of thinking that there could ever be something other than the one Mind of Love. Here there is peace. And for this I give thanks.

The world is a projection. If I believe in the idea of separation, I will see it reflected back to me everywhere. Loss and lack will seem real. Fear and guilt will seem justified. I am grateful that there is another option. I can align with the truth by choosing Holy Spirit to guide my thoughts. As I make this choice more and more consistently, I will see God’s Love reflected back to me more and more. Images of separation will fade into the Light of His Love until that Light is all there is to see. This is my practice for today.
