Make Way for Love

Because the ego believes that form is meaning, it always advises to do something, anything in the world. Doing “stuff” is how the ego tries to make meaning. Yet the Course is telling us that meaning comes from content, not form. And the only real content is Love. We experience meaning when we extend Love and join in the oneness of Love. Following the ego’s guidance to meaning leaves only emptiness because form is not content and is not real.

So when we take time to quiet our minds and be open to Love’s vision, the ego tells us that we are wasting our time. It brings up all kinds of excuses not to go to quiet or to peace. It is these defenses against Love that we need to let go and move past. As we move past the forms, we open the door to the experience of Love’s presence, the experience of joining with the one Self we all share. It is time to set aside excuses and make way for Love.
