Joining in the Oneness of God’s Love

To love my Father is to love His Son.

Let me not think that I can find the way to God, if I have hatred in my heart. Let me not try to hurt God’s Son, and think that I can know his Father or my Self. Let me not fail to recognize myself, and still believe that my awareness can contain my Fa­ther, or my mind conceive of all the love my Father has for me, and all the love which I return to Him.

I will accept the way You choose for me to come to You, my Father. For in that will I succeed, because it is Your Will. And I would recognize that what You will is what I will as well, and only that. Hatred is not limited to the people whom we perceive have offended or harmed us. To perceive anyone as a body, separate from us is, to hate the truth of what our brother is. It is a denial of the Love that unites us with our brother and our Creator.

Because we are all united in one Love, we can only know our Creator by loving all of His creations. That means we disregard the perception of separation represented by a body. We look past that false image to the Love that unites us. This is God’s Will for us because His Will is only Love.

Being one with God’s Love, joining in Love is our Will along with God’s. To remember Who we are as God’s one Son, we must remember our oneness with our brother in the Love that unites us with our Creator.
