Letting Love’s Light Replace the Ego’s Darkness

I came for the salvation of the world.

Here is a thought from which all arrogance has been removed, and only truth remains. For arrogance opposes truth. But when there is no arrogance the truth will come immediately, and fill up the space [dream] the ego left unoccupied by lies. Only the ego can be limited, and therefore it must seek for aims which are curtailed and limiting. The ego thinks that what one gains, totality must lose. And yet it is the Will of God I learn that what one gains is given unto all.

Father, Your Will is total. And the goal which stems from it shares its totality. What aim but the salvation of the world could You have given me? Only in a dream where separation and limitation are believed real does the ego seem to exist. Our belief in this “reality” is represented by our seeming identity as a separate body with a separate life and separate thoughts. In the dream, our survival depends upon defending this identity, even unto death. All this is playing out the acceptance of the ego’s lies as true. It is played out in myriad scenarios around the world and throughout time.

But when we accept God’s gift of His changeless Love, we release ourselves from the ego’s dream. We accept God’s gift when we forgive the ego’s projections of separation, guilt and fear. Though we have accepted the darkness of the ego’s lies which deny the Light of Love, the means to accept the Light remains in our mind. We call upon It when we ask for help to release our misperceptions and mistaken beliefs.

First we need to recognize that we don’t know what anything means. With our mind now open, we ask for the Holy Spirit’s help from beyond the limitations of the dream to shine the Light of Love into the darkened, loveless ego dream of separation. As we welcome the Light, peace replaces conflict, joy replaces fear and guilt. We bring salvation to the world.
