Peace, Love and Happiness Are Ours

God’s Will is that we are one with Him. This means we always have and are all of His Love. This means that What God is, we are. To accept our oneness with God, we have to let go of thinking that we are separate from God. Thinking we are separate from God is a grievance against God, a refusal to accept What we are.

Today we open our minds to accept the miracle. The miracle shows us that we are still one with God as He created us to be. The miracle returns us to the truth that we are eternally one in God — we are eternally one with all Love. Today we let go of our one problem, which is thinking that we are separate from God/Love. Today we accept our one true Identity and the Identity of every brother as one with God. Today we accept peace and Love and happiness as ours.

Today We Let Go and Let God

This is the day of peace. You rest in God, and while the world is torn by winds of hate your rest remains completely undisturbed. Yours is the rest of truth. Appearances cannot intrude on you. You call to all to join you in your rest, and they will hear and come to you because you rest in God.

You rest today. And as you close your eyes, sink into stillness. Let these periods of rest and respite reassure your mind that all its frantic fantasies were but the dreams of fever that has passed away. Let [your mind] be still and thankfully accept its healing. No more fearful dreams will come, now that you rest in God. Take time today to slip away from dreams and into peace. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.109.3:1-5;5:3-8)

As we practice resting in God today, we receive God’s peace… We gently follow the flow of peace… We let what is not of peace gently fall away… As we pay attention to our thoughts all through the day we remember that we rest in God… We hand over all thoughts not of God into His gentle Hands… Love gently shines them away as we strengthen our practice of Letting go and letting God…

We Accept God’s Peace Today

Father, I come to You today to seek the peace that You alone can give. I come in silence. In the quiet of my heart, the deep recesses of my mind, I wait and listen for Your Voice. My Father, speak to me today. I come to hear Your Voice in silence and in certainty and love, sure You will hear my call and answer me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.221.1)

Today we practice opening our minds to God’s peace… We open our minds to quietness… We are receptive… We open to God’s gentleness… We open to God’s peace…

We breathe deeply and relax… We let our constant Companion lift us up… With the Holy Spirit’s help, we rise above to see the Love…

We move past the clouds of separate bodies to the truth of our oneness in Love… We see all separation as illusion… We let go believing in what could never be true…

We remember that only Love is real… and that nothing could ever happen to change Love as It was created to be only Love forever… And we give thanks.

The Power of Forgiveness

Rejoice in the power of forgiveness to heal your sight completely. Be confident that on this day there is a new beginning. Without the darkness of the past upon your eyes, you cannot fail to see today. And what you see will be so welcome that you will gladly extend today forever.

We dedicate this day to the serenity in which God would have you be. Keep it in your awareness of yourself and see it everywhere today, as we celebrate the beginning of your vision and the sight of the real world, which has come to replace the unforgiven world you thought was real. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.75.9:4-7;11:1-2)

Serenity is our natural state. It is the condition in which Love created us. The world seems to be anything but serene because we believe we are separate from Love. The separation casts a dark shadow of fear and guilt that hides our innate serenity from our awareness.

Forgiveness, letting go of believing we are separate from Love, restores Love’s Light to our awareness. Forgiveness dispels the shadows so that we return again to our serene state, knowing we are safe in the changeless oneness of Love. The Light of Love comes more strongly into our awareness each time we let go of an unforgiving thought, a mistaken perception of harm.

Today we watch carefully for thoughts that disturb our peace and take them to the Holy Spirit with willingness to receive His vision in place of our misperceptions. As we forgive, the Light of Heaven shines ever more strongly on the world and we remember our Home.

God’s Love Is Here Now

Our practice for today is to become aware of the ever present truth that God’s Love is here now. In truth we all are God’s Love, shining in the reflection of His Light. In this Presence of Love we are guided in how to be truly helpful to the awakening. We follow Love’s lead and let It carry us.

We remember our innocence and the innocence of everyone we encounter in this dream of separate bodies. We let ourselves be reminded all through the day that God’s Love is here now.

Choosing the Guide to Happiness

God gives me only happiness.
He has given my function to me.
Therefore my function must be happiness.

We have seen that there are only two parts of your mind. One is ruled by the ego, and is made up of illusions. The other is the home of the Holy Spirit, where truth abides. There are no other guides but these to choose between, and no other outcomes possible as a result of your choice but the fear that the ego always engenders, and the love [happiness] that the Holy Spirit always offers to replace it. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.66.5:2-4;7:2-5)

We have a choice today as to how we will experience the world. We can choose to see through the eyes of separation, which brings fear, guilt and isolation. Or, we can see with Holy Spirit’s eyes which bring us past separation’s image making to the quiet fields of Love that are eternally present. Choosing to see through Holy Spirit’s eyes brings us only happiness. Choosing to see through the ego’s eyes brings us frustration, anger and unhappiness.

Today we practice vigilance to step back from the ego’s clouds of differences that hide the face of Christ from our awareness. Today we choose Holy Spirit’s offerings of peace and Love and eternal happiness. Today we would be happy.

Accepting the Vision of Christ

Christ’s vision sees past the images of the world of separation. It shows us the truth of Love that is everywhere. Being formless, Love cannot be seen by the body’s eyes, which see only form. To accept the vision of Christ, we must change our allegiance from the body to the Spirit of Love that we are. Forgiveness is the means that helps us let go of our belief in the body and the forms it sees.

Today is a day to be vigilant of our thoughts to see past the form to the Love that is always there. The ego thought system of separation cannot see the Love. We are willing to accept Holy Spirit’s help. He sees what we see but doesn’t believe it. And so the Holy Spirit can help us release our belief in the false, can help us forgive our false imaginings. This is how we clear away the clouds of mistaken thinking and accept the Light of Love that Christ’s vision shows us.
