Overflowing Gratitude

Gratitude is the inevitable effect of forgiveness… Forgiveness removes a barrier to Love’s presence, and gratitude is an attribute of Love.

Today is designated as a national day for gratitude. It is in truth a day for forgiveness. When we focus on what we are grateful for, we remind ourselves of the value of forgiveness. Gratitude welcomes what we are grateful for. When we forgive, we forgive an illusion. When we let it go, we welcome the truth that was hidden by illusion — we welcome Love.

Today we dedicate to setting aside our perceptions and interpretations of our brothers and the world to open our minds to receive the true vision of the Holy Spirit. With this practice we let go or forgive the past and welcome Love in the eternal present. In forgiveness and gratitude, we heal. As we join with the Holy Spirit’s vision we see a happy world and our gratitude overflows.
