Gratitude Fosters Gratitude

Gratitude is an aspect of Love. When we allow God’s gift of Love into our awareness, gratitude for God’s gift comes with it. This feeling of gratitude motivates a willingness to extend the Love. The blessing that comes with extending Love brings more gratitude with it. As we express the gratitude we feel, we are welcoming more of what we feel grateful for. As we express gratitude for Love, we welcome Love more. As we express gratitude for peace, we welcome peace. As we express gratitude for happiness, we welcome happiness. This is the creative process of accepting and extending Love.

Today we will be mindful of the many gifts we receive with Love. We will let ourselves be shown the Love that surrounds us, including the forms that Love is expressed through in the world. Love Itself is formless. But in a world of form, we must learn to recognize Its expression. This is how we learn to look beyond form to the formless Love that unites us all within our Creator.

Our Prayer of Willingness

Holy Spirit, we open our minds to Your healing Light… We open to receive the truth that only Love is there… We are willing to be carried past the illusions of the world to the truth of Love’s Presence… We are willing to forgive our false ideas… We are willing to let go of the past… We are willing to let Your Light shine away what we thought was true… We are willing to let our minds be healed today…

We give thanks that You are right here in our minds all through the day, guiding us every step of the way. We are as little children, willing to be taught to see things differently.

Opening to the Peace of Our True Self

It is possible to maintain a state of peace, no matter what the appearance may be in the world. This peace does not come from the world. It comes from the part of your mind that remembers Who you are, your true Self.

Your true Self knows Its oneness with all Love. Your true Self is one with the peace of God. To be in peace in the midst of the appearance of turmoil, you need to redirect your attention from the appearance to the center of peace within.

Pause… step back… and rise above the appearance of disorder in the world. Let your true Self help you see with the vision of Love, the Light of truth. With this vision, the appearances in the world do not disturb you.

In the peace that comes from your true Self, you are receptive to inspiration that is helpful in the world. This inspiration helps you act with ease and kindness, free of fear. The appearance then becomes an opportunity to extend Love in the world and let go of past fears and mistaken judgments.

As you let peace rise to increasing awareness, every situation becomes a means for healing, forgiveness and Love’s extension. Today our practice is to hold our minds open to the peace of our true Self.

Listening to Holy Spirit

Whenever you call upon the Holy Spirit, He will answer you. You must, however, be willing to hear His answer without reservations. Too often you have decided what is acceptable and what is unacceptable, before you ask. Under such conditions, you are not truly asking for help but rather for confirmation of your own position. This makes it impossible for His answer to be given and received. If you want His help, you must ask with an open mind, setting no preconditions on His answer, and be sincerely willing to act on it as directed.” (From the Christ Mind, p. 106) Click here for more information about From the Christ Mind.

Today our practice is to listen to the Holy Spirit with an open mind. As we choose Holy Spirit’s peace instead of conflict, we are brought a different perspective of everyone and everything in the world we see. We see innocence instead of guilt. We see past separation to the oneness of our real Self.

From the safety of Holy Spirit’s peace, we are receptive to the gentle nudgings of Holy Spirit as we are guided to be in the right place at the right time and to act with Love. It will be a day of easy flowing in Holy Spirit’s stream of Love. And we will experience Its blessing.

Today We Let Our Thoughts Be Transformed

Today we practice being alert for all thoughts of judgment, guilt, blame and comparison. We gladly hand these thoughts over to Holy Spirit to be transformed by His loving perception. We know that this practice will free us from the prison house we have made. We know that this practice will bring us boundless happiness.

What an opportunity we have today to let our thoughts be transformed and let the gates of Heaven be opened. We prepare the way for our return to Love.

Extending Love in the Now Moment

Today we practice extending Love in the now moment… We do this by relaxing… and letting Love in… We let our mind be filled with God’s Love… We become aware that Love cannot be limited… It just naturally expands to include everything and everywhere…

Extending the Love that we are is our natural beingness… As we continue our practice of accepting our reality as Love and extending the Love we are, we naturally become aware of Love’s Presence everywhere…

If we notice a thought that interferes with our awareness of Love, we ask Holy Spirit to help us see with His vision… This practice nurtures us and energizes us… It fills us with an innate sense of happiness and well being… All this comes as we practice accepting and extending Love in the now moment.

We Are Immersed in God’s Love

Today our practice is to accept the truth that we are indeed eternally immersed in God’s Love, along with everyone “else.” We cannot remove ourselves from Love because everyone’s Identity is Love, including ourselves.

Today we let in the truth and allow ourselves to remember that only Love is true. We let the Love extend through us equally to everyone. We celebrate the truth of Love today as we let the Holy Spirit show us the truth in every brother. Oh happy day with Love in charge.
