Realize that your forgiveness entitles you to vision. Understand that the Holy Spirit never fails to give the gift of sight to the forgiving. Believe He will not fail you now. You have forgiven the world. He will be with you as you watch and wait. He will show you what true vision sees. It is His Will, and you have joined with Him. Wait patiently for Him. He will be there. The light has come. You have forgiven the world.
Tell Him you know you cannot fail because you trust in Him. And tell yourself you wait in certainty to look upon the world He promised you. From this time forth you will see differently.
We dedicate this day to the serenity in which God would have you be. Keep it in your awareness of yourself and see it everywhere today, as we celebrate the beginning of your vision and the sight of the real world, which has come to replace the unforgiven world you thought was real. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 75, W-pI.75.7;8:1-3;11. See also ACIM Lesson 75 Insights.)
We will step back today and let Holy Spirit’s vision enter our minds. We let the Light of Truth heal our thoughts. We forgive the world for all we ever thought it was. We let Holy Spirit’s peace cover everything we see. We let peace fill our hearts and minds. The Light has come. Our true Self already sees a forgiven world.

You are the dreamer of the world of dreams. No other cause it has, nor ever will. Nothing more fearful than an idle dream has terrified God’s Son, and made him think that he has lost his innocence, denied his Father, and made war upon himself. So fearful is the dream, so seeming real, he could not waken to reality without the sweat of terror and a scream of mortal fear, unless a gentler dream preceded his awaking, and allowed his calmer mind to welcome, not to fear, the Voice that calls with love to waken him; a gentler dream, in which his suffering was healed and where his brother was his friend. God willed he waken gently and with joy, and gave him means to waken without fear.
Accept the dream He gave instead of yours. It is not difficult to change a dream when once the dreamer has been recognized. Rest in the Holy Spirit, and allow His gentle dreams to take the place of those you dreamed in terror and in fear of death. He brings forgiving dreams, in which the choice is not who is the murderer and who shall be the victim. (A Course in Miracles, T-27.VII.13,14:1-4. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)
When we allow ourselves to rest in the Holy Spirit, to welcome His peace and His vision, we easily see past the false images of the world that seem to justify fear and guilt. When we identify with a separate self image, fear and guilt are inevitable. It appears that we are a victim of outside forces beyond our control. But this appearance only seems real because of our belief that we have made ourselves into something that could never be true. Only the oneness of Love is true. A separate self image cannot exist in the oneness of Love. This separate self image is actually a denial of Love.
But we are not stuck with a false self image. As we allow ourselves to welcome the Holy Spirit’s vision, the belief in being a separate self softens as we have glimpses of our unity with the Love in our brothers. This is what forgiveness brings.
One way to welcome Holy Spirit’s vision can be to simply ask “Holy Spirit, help me to see this situation as you see it.” Every time we allow ourselves to receive Holy Spirit’s vision, we take another step toward forgiving the dream world of separation. This is what comes as we let ourselves rest in the Holy Spirit.

My forgiveness is the means by which the light of the world finds expression through me. My forgiveness is the means by which I become aware of the light of the world in me. My forgiveness is the means by which the world is healed, together with myself. Let me, then, forgive the world, that it may be healed along with me. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 82, W-pI.82.2-5. See also ACIM Lesson 82 Insights.)
Do not allow your intent to waver in the face of distracting thoughts. Realize that, whatever form such thoughts may take, they have no meaning and no power. Replace them with your determination to succeed. Do not forget that your will has power over all fantasies and dreams. Trust it to see you through, and carry you beyond them all. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Review II, W-pI.RevII.Int.4)
God’s Will is only oneness. God’s Will is universal Love, universal joy and universal peace. If I am experiencing something other than this, I have forgotten that I share God’s Will for me. As I let go of, or forgive, false ideas that bring the experience of worry, conflict or lack, these false ideas disappear. As I forgive, I let myself be carried, instead of deciding anything on my own. All this comes as I let God’s Will be done.

Today our theme is our defenselessness. We clothe ourselves in it, as we prepare to meet the day. We rise up strong in Christ, and let our weakness disappear, as we remember that His strength abides in us. We will remind ourselves that He remains beside us through the day, and never leaves our weakness unsupported by His strength. We call upon His strength each time we feel the threat of our defenses undermine our certainty of purpose. We will pause a moment, as He tells us, “I am here.”
The ministers of God can never fail, because the love and strength and peace that shine from them to all their brothers come from Him. These are His gifts to you. Defenselessness is all you need to give Him in return. You lay aside but what was never real, to look on Christ and see His sinlessness. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 153, W-pI.153.19;20:4-7. See also ACIM Lesson 153 Insights.)
Whenever we seem to be facing problems, it is helpful to remember that we are not alone. The strength of Christ is ever present, supporting us in our remembrance that God’s strength is ours and we share His Will, which is to extend Love without limit. The appearance of a problem comes only because we have forgotten the strength of Love in us. We have forgotten it because we have identified with the ego thought system of separation, which is the denial of Love. But Love has not left us. We have only become unaware of it by our denial.
When we seem to be faced with a problem, it is helpful to step back and open to the strength of Christ within. As we quiet our mind and turn our thoughts to the Love within, we are assured by the Voice for God Which reminds us, “I am here.” As we let that thought fill our minds, we feel the strength of Christ grow stronger. Our vision becomes clearer and we are inspired with a new way of seeing. In quietness are all our problems quietly resolved.

Only appreciation is an appropriate response to your brother. Gratitude is due him for both his loving thoughts and his appeals for help, for both are capable of bringing love into your awareness if you perceive them truly. And all your sense of strain comes from your attempts not to do just this. How simple, then, is God’s plan for salvation. There is but one response to reality, for reality evokes no conflict at all. There is but one Teacher of reality, Who understands what it is. He does not change His Mind about reality because reality does not change. Although your interpretations of reality are meaningless in your divided state, His remain consistently true. He gives them to you because they are for you. Do not attempt to “help” a brother in your way, for you cannot help yourself. But hear his call for the Help of God, and you will recognize your own need for the Father. (A Course in Miracles, T-12.I.6. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)
Our only meaningful purpose in this world is to remember that we are Love as Love created us. In every moment we are given the opportunity to remember Who we are. As we are aware of loving thoughts, we remember the Love we are. Perception of anything else is an opportunity to recognize a call for Love. The recognition of a call for Love naturally evokes a response of answering with Love. When we answer a call for Love with Love, we remind ourselves that we are Love.
When we believe we are a separate individual, functioning on our own in the world, we will inevitably misinterpret calls for Love as attacks. Based on this interpretation, we respond with attack, sometimes disguised as defense.
To fulfill our function of remembering we are Love, we must resign as interpreter of everything we perceive in the world. Instead, we must rely on the vision of the Interpreter given us by our Creator. This Interpreter is not deceived by appearances of the world. It knows that only Love is real and reality does not change.
As we are willing to accept the vision of our inner Interpreter in place of our own interpretations, we move steadily toward remembering that we are Love as Love created us.

The real world is the state of mind in which the only purpose of the world is seen to be forgiveness. Fear is not its goal, for the escape from guilt becomes its aim. The value of forgiveness is perceived and takes the place of idols, which are sought no longer, for their “gifts” are not held dear. No rules are idly set, and no demands are made of anyone or anything to twist and fit into the dream of fear. Instead, there is a wish to understand all things created as they really are. And it is recognized that all things must be first forgiven, and then understood. (A Course in Miracles, T-30.V.1. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)
To understand something, we must recognize its true meaning. When we project our past and our beliefs on what we look at, we are covering over the true meaning with our projections. The true meaning is hidden beneath the veil of guilt and fear. This is why we must first forgive before we can understand the truth of our brothers and ourselves.
Our top priority must be to let go of all our false beliefs and the history we try to bring with us from our past experiences. As long as we hang on to the past, we cannot be aware or understand the blessing and joy that is with us and in us now. Forgiveness is our only function now. It is how we clear the way for true vision to show us that only Love is real.
Today we practice again offering all our thoughts to the Holy Spirit to be purified of what is false and to let the truth be brought to the forefront of our minds. This is how we will let ourselves understand the real world.

God is your safety in every circumstance. His Voice speaks for Him in all situations and in every aspect of all situations, telling you exactly what to do to call upon His strength and His protection. There are no exceptions because God has no exceptions. And the Voice which speaks for Him thinks as He does.
…reach down into your mind to a place of real safety. You will recognize that you have reached it if you feel a sense of deep peace, however briefly. Let go all the trivial things that churn and bubble on the surface of your mind, and reach down and below them to the Kingdom of Heaven. There is a place in you where there is perfect peace. There is a place in you where nothing is impossible. There is a place in you where the strength of God abides. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 47, W-pI.47.3,7. See also ACIM Lesson 47 Insights.)
The truth in us is not weak, but strong. It is not doubtful, but certain. It is not fearful, but loving. These are the attributes of our true Self, ever present in our mind.
When we identify with the ego’s false image of what we are, we feel weak, fearful, confused and depressed. But we can leave this dark image behind by letting ourselves go past it to the Light of our true Self. It is ever present.
As we are ready to let go of the fear and guilt associated with believing in a false self image, we can redirect our attention to the Light within. As we let ourselves open to that Light by our willingness to receive the vision of our true Self, the dark shadows fade away. We feel the strength of God in us. We feel the certainty of the changeless Love that is our Self. We see that same Self in our brothers. We can count on the strength of God in us.
