Acknowledging Our Source of Strength

If you are trusting in your own strength, you have every reason to be apprehensive, anxious and fearful. ²What can you predict or control? ³What is there in you that can be counted on? ⁴What would give you the ability to be aware of all the facets of any problem, and to resolve them in such a way that only good can come of it? ⁵What is there in you that gives you the recognition of the right solution, and the guarantee that it will be accomplished?

Of yourself you can do none of these things.

God is your safety in every circumstance. ²His Voice speaks for Him in all situations and in every aspect of all situations, telling you exactly what to do to call upon His strength and His protection.

³It is not by trusting yourself that you will gain confidence. ⁴But the strength of God in you is successful in all things.

God is the Source of all our strength. But if we believe that we are separate from Him, we will feel that we must rely on the semblance of strength that our body and intellect seem to offer. Yet this “self” reliance fails to provide consistent safety. We are not able to resolve problems in a way that is beneficial to all.

It is time to acknowledge that of ourselves, we can do nothing. It is time to claim our inheritance by accepting that God is our strength and safety. He has given us His Voice to guide us past the self deception of isolation to recognize the strength of Love within us.

It calls to us to remember that we remain joined with our Father and all His strength. Today we pause to let the peace of God embrace us and fill us with the certainty that all our needs are met.

Remembering All Our Needs Are Met

I have no cause for anger or for fear, for
You surround me. And in every need that
I perceive, Your grace suffices me.

Father, let me remember You are here, and I am not alone. ²Surrounding me is everlasting Love. ³I have no cause for anything except the perfect peace and joy I share with You. ⁴What need have I for anger or for fear? ⁵Surrounding me is perfect safety. ⁶Can I be afraid, when Your eternal promise goes with me? ⁷Surrounding me is perfect sinlessness. ⁸What can I fear, when You created me in holiness as perfect as Your Own?

God’s grace suffices us in everything that He would have us do. ²And only that we choose to be our will as well as His. (A Course in Miracles, W-348. See also ACIM Lesson 348 Insights.)

God’s grace assures us that we live eternally in the safety, peace and joy of His Love. We live in the innocence of His holiness. We can relax now, remembering our eternal unity with our Father. This is our only Reality.

If we seem to experience anything but peace and happiness, we know we must be believing in a false identity that can never be real. We use this perception as a reminder to pause to return to peace and ask the Holy Spirit to help us forgive our mistaken belief. As we accept His help, we remember that all our needs are met by our Father’s changeless Love.

Remembering Love’s Eternal Blessing

The glory of my Father is my own.

Let not the truth about ourselves today be hidden by a false humility. ²Let us instead be thankful for the gifts our Father gave us. ³Can we see in those with whom He shares His glory any trace of sin and guilt? ⁴And can it be that we are not among them, when He loves His Son forever and with perfect constancy, knowing he is as He created him?

We thank You, Father, for the light that shines forever in us. ²And we honor it, because You share it with us. ³We are one, united in this light and one with You, at peace with all creation and ourselves. (A Course in Miracles, W-239. See also ACIM Lesson 239 Insights.)

The Love we are can be hidden, but It cannot be extinguished. Only our belief in the illusion of separation hides Love from our awareness. We live in the Love of our Father. To guarantee that we cannot lose His Love, He gave us a Teacher in our mind to help us unlearn the dark lessons of separation we have accepted.

We are grateful for our inner Teacher Whose purpose is to awaken us from the dream of being separate and alone. He calls to us from our center of peace within to let Him show us the Love that unites us with our Father and all our brothers. He shows us the glorious Light of Love that surrounds us and radiates from within. We are truly blessed as Love’s extension in the universe of Love.

Giving and Receiving Miracles

I offer only miracles today, for I would have them be returned to me.

Father, a miracle reflects Your gifts to me, Your Son. ²And every one I give returns to me, reminding me the law of love is universal. ³Even here, it takes a form which can be recognized and seen to work. ⁴The miracles I give are given back in just the form I need to help me with the problems I perceive. ⁵Father, in Heaven it is different, for there, there are no needs. ⁶But here on earth, the miracle is closer to Your gifts than any other gift that I can give. ⁷Then let me give this gift alone today, which, born of true forgiveness, lights the way that I must travel to remember You.

Peace to all seeking hearts today. ²The light has come to offer miracles to bless the tired world. ³It will find rest today, for we will offer what we have received. (A Course in Miracles, W-345. See also ACIM Lesson 345 Insights.)

The foundation of a miracle is true forgiveness. Forgiveness opens the door to let the Light of Love show us the Reality of Love’s Presence beyond appearances in the world. It lights our mind with the truth as it lights the minds of all our brothers.

It is called a miracle because it so transforms our vision that the ego’s obstacles to Love disappear. Where there was fear, Love’s Reality is revealed. Sadness is replaced by happiness. Loneliness yields to peace of mind in the unity of the Love.

Today we welcome the Holy Spirit’s help to forgive our mistaken beliefs and accept the gifts of miracles.

We Live in God’s Love

I have already chosen what You will.

Father, I thought I wandered from Your Will, defied it, broke its laws, and interposed a second will more powerful than Yours. ²Yet what I am in truth is but Your Will, extended and extending. ³This am I, and this will never change. ⁴As You are One, so am I one with You. ⁵And this I chose in my creation, where my will became forever one with Yours. ⁶That choice was made for all eternity. ⁷It cannot change, and be in opposition to itself. ⁸Father, my will is Yours. ⁹And I am safe, untroubled and serene, in endless joy, because it is Your Will that it be so.

Today we will accept our union with each other and our Source. ²We have no will apart from His, and all of us are one because His Will is shared by all of us. ³Through it we recognize that we are one. ⁴Through it we find our way at last to God. Accepting our oneness with all Creation is the key to finding peace and joy. All conflict and lack disappears. As conflicting differences disappear, we remember that our Father shares all that He is with all of Creation. We live in His Love. His happiness is ours. We know that we are forever safe in His sure protection.

Today we are grateful that we have chosen to accept the fact that God’s Will is ours.

Remembering Our Father’s Gifts

Steady our feet, our Father. ²Let our doubts be quiet and our holy minds be still, and speak to us. ³We have no words to give to You. ⁴We would but listen to Your Word, and make it ours. ⁵Lead our practicing as does a father lead a little child along a way he does not understand. ⁶Yet does he follow, sure that he is safe because his father leads the way for him.

So do we bring our practicing to You. ²And if we stumble, You will raise us up. ³If we forget the way, we count upon Your sure remembering. ⁴We wander off, but You will not forget to call us back. ⁵Quicken our footsteps now, that we may walk more certainly and quickly unto You. (A Course in Miracles, W-rV.in.2:1–3:5)

This prayer reflects an attitude that is helpful for us to welcome the Guidance of the Holy Spirit, our true Self, our Father. It expresses our heart’s desire to find our way back to the Home we thought we left because of a mistaken wish for specialness. It reminds us that our Father is ever present to guide us and protect us, no matter how far we may believe we have wandered off. We are safe.

With this willingness to accept His help, our mind is open to be guided. We _want_ to remember that we remain Love as Love created us. We _want_ to remember our Father’s strength, which he gives without limit.

We are grateful for His comfort, which surrounds us and embraces us. We are grateful that our Father shares with us His peace and joy without limit.

Awakening to Our Life in God

Perception is consistent. ²What you see reflects your thinking. ³And your thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see. ⁴Your values are determiners of this, for what you value you must want to see, believing what you see is really there. ⁵No one can see a world his mind has not accorded value. ⁶And no one can fail to look upon what he believes he wants.

Fear has made everything you think you see. ²All separation, all distinctions, and the multitude of differences you believe make up the world. ³They are not there. ⁴Love’s enemy has made them up. ⁵Yet love can have no enemy, and so they have no cause, no being and no consequence. ⁶They can be valued, but remain unreal.

It is impossible to see two worlds which have no overlap of any kind. ²Seek for the one; the other disappears. ³But one remains. ⁴They are the range of choice beyond which your decision cannot go. ⁵The real and the unreal are all there are to choose between, and nothing more than these.

⁵It is impossible to see two worlds. ⁶Let me accept the strength God offers me and see no value in this world, that I may find my freedom and deliverance.

God will be there. ²For you have called upon the great unfailing power which will take this giant step with you in gratitude. ³Nor will you fail to see His thanks expressed in tangible perception and in truth. (A Course in Miracles, W-130.1;4:1-6;5;8:5–9:3. See also ACIM Lesson 130 Insights.)

The ego’s goal is not to support life. In fact it wants us dead, the ultimate ‘proof’ that it has successfully separated from our Creator. But all this is just a nightmare populated with images of attack and defend, lack and loss. When we awaken from dreams, we clearly see that nothing which appeared to happen in the dream had any effect on our awakened state.

We have been given the means to awaken from our dreams of weakness and vulnerability. The Holy Spirit is ever-present in our mind to help us let go of our mistaken identification with the ego. When we are willing to accept His help, all the strength of God supports us to see past the dream images to the eternal presence of Love.

The Light of Love dispels the ego’s dark shadows to reveal the our eternal oneness with our Creator and all creation. We awaken to the Life we live in God.
