Letting Go

I found these thoughts in my mind today, beginning with a prayer.

Dear Father, help me to let my fantasies go, let me see their nothingness. I would accept Your Love and know that You created me, and that has never changed.                                I would see with the eyes of Love, and think as the Mind of Love. My true desire has nothing to do with dreams but only to waken to truth. Thank You very much. amen.

Then ideas from the Course: I place the future in the Hands of God. God is the strength in which I trust. There is one life and that I live with Him.

And ideas about the “place” I find myself in at this moment: I thought I was a failure and then chose to stop listening to my true Teacher. I turned away because my experience had shifted; I was experiencing events with the ego/fear perception. I felt unworthy and unloved. I wanted the 2nd experience to be like the first one, it seemed my request was being denied. Only because I was listening to the ego/fear and not Holy Spirit. I felt I’d lost my connection with Spirit. (The experience that I refer to is that of the second incident of transverse myelitis.)

All this can be undone by my choice—- to choose for Love and not against It. To choose to listen to H.Spirit and let Him lead me. All my thoughts (perceptions) about my “experience” I can give to Him, and they will be cleansed so that only the truth remains.

Holy Spirit, I am willing to let those thoughts go. I am willing to let go all my past decisions. I am grateful for the eternal love and guidance that You give and share. I listen now and always. Thank You very much. amen.

Imagine

I received these thoughts from Spirit today.

“Imagine being completely forgiven.”
This idea would be good to practice, so that you would come to realize the truth.

You are already forgiven—because in reality you are innocent. What is wholly innocent can have no wrongs. But you can indeed be wrong in what you believe. The ‘world’ is waiting for your acceptance of innocence, of your sinlessness. Imagine yourself as completely sinless, and you will be nearer to the truth. When you accept your sinlessness, you release the world along with your self from what you thought was true.

Your world seems real because of your belief in the separation. The ego proclaims that you are “here” therefore you must be separate from God or Spirit. It uses every thing in the world to “prove” that it is right. Every illusion is made by a mind in sickness, to distract you from asking for and accepting what is the only way Home.

You really want to remember your Father/Creator. You really want only Love. You really want to extend love. You can deny the truth but you can not alter, remove or destroy It. You really want the truth.

Salvation Comes From Me

“My salvation comes from me.”
What does this mean to me?
This brings to mind all the plans I thought would give me salvation. Such as: being the ‘good’ child; getting away from home; becoming an artist; having an exclusive relationship; having sexual intercourse; being with the special teacher; being different from others; being independent. All my ‘plans’ have brought me nothing. The latest plan has been to be able to move about without restriction. All these sources have been concerned with the body, yet the body is only a learning device.  The source of salvation is in my mind—that is where God put it. the source of guilt is in my mind, never in the outside world where the ego insists it is.

Within the idea, my salvation comes from me, is the acceptance that guilt is only in my mind and forgiveness is there too. Holy Spirit is in my mind to show me what is true and what is illusion. My release from guilt is in accepting and forgiving the self made illusions. When I look with H. Spirit I can drop my idols and false perceptions of my self. I look at the images with H. Spirit, and am willing to give those thoughts to Him. He assures me that what I am letting go of, was never real and was never part of me. When I am willing, I feel the worries and fears leave my mind replaced with the Love that was always there. And I am thankful that I have such a Teacher with me always.

Review Lesson 115

I looked at my Workbook lessons for yesterday and today. (115 & 116). This is what caught my attention:       
2 My function here is to forgive the world for all the errors I have made. 3 For thus am I released from them with all the world.

My function here is to forgive the world for all the errors I have made. How good to know that what I have “done” are only errors. It is error in my thinking, for I have mistaken a silly thought as true. All the things that I think I have accomplished or things I seem to have failed to do, are just the same error. Am I willing to accept that my thinking is not correct? That thoughts without Love are meaningless? The ego hates to hear this, but my Spirit sings, “Yes, yes, YES!”

Dear H.S., help me to recognize ‘past’ thoughts, so I can give them to You. Remind me that thinking about the past has no benefit, it has no value, and is not true. Thank you for helping me forget the false to remember that only Love is real. amen.

Workbook Lesson 109

I am given the opportunity to be more “active” with the daily lessons, and record my thoughts about the lesson.

¶ 1.  And we have the thought that will answer our asking with what we request.
This tells me that I always have the answer, which God gave me. It is always within my mind, whether I am aware of it or not.

¶ 2.  Here is the the thought in which the Son of God is born again, to recognize himself.
If I use this idea repeatedly, I open to the truth. I come to accept that I am God’s Son, to remember my Father and His Son.

¶3.  Wow! I love this paragraph. It is so reassuring, so very loving. This idea lays down all the ego’s logic and resistance.

¶ 4.  When I choose to rest in God, I am choosing to have my mind healed. Being part of all minds, I am letting all minds rest in the Truth.

¶ 5.  No more fearful dreams will come, now that you rest in God. Take time today to slip away from dreams and into peace.
When I take the time to remember the truth, I give the gift that I have received. When I rest in God the truth replaces all the foolish thoughts of separation.

¶ 8.  You will be faithful to your trust today, forgetting no one, bringing everyone into the boundless circle of your peace, the holy sanctuary where you rest.
I am filled with gratitude that this is my purpose. I am grateful to share this gift, letting every mind be healed of the false ideas that only cause unrest.

I am so thankful for the gifts I am able to share as I remember the truth. If we rest in God, then how could we have ever left Him? When I rest in God, the ego is not there, there is no conflict; only one purpose, one goal. To awake in Him, knowing What He created was never divided. And so it is.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
