Learning Release

Dear Everyone,
I recently asked Jehsua for clarification on some things, and the communication I received is entered here.

Dear J., tell me of release, that I may understand.

Spirit: Release tells you that what you thought your brother did, never happened. So do you learn that what you feared you had done, never happened. What you feared you had become has no truth, so are you released. You hold the key in every encounter with your brother. They were sent to you for the chance to free your mind from its self made prison. Every brother offers you the chance to see innocence that leads to perfect innocence and complete peace.
You are, in fact, “there” already, but keep illusion before your eyes to avoid the truth, and what you taught yourself would come to be. You have taught yourself wrongly, thus the images you made appear as alien things, waiting to attack and destroy you. And your belief in the images make them real to you. Ask yourself, “what is this for?” Does it take you closer to Eternal happiness or does it move you away from Eternal happiness? Does it have anything to do with the Eternal, or only with the temporal?

When you ask, “what is it for?,” be willing to hear the answer that your holy Self holds for you. It will never let you down, never forsake you. Your Holy Self has always been with you, forever a part of Heaven, the Will of God, and Love Itself. Be willing to hear, see, feel, this Inner Wisdom in whatever form it may take, to assist you in returning to the Peace that abides within every creation. God leaves none outside HIs Love, all are included without limit, restriction or compromise.

(A later follow up) Spirit: Guilt is never justified. The ego teaches the opposite of this in numerous ways. The blame it puts on you is not different than the blame it puts on the world. Still the fact remains: thoughts leave not their source.
The thought of guilt has not left your mind, no matter how it appears. The split mind will always maintain that another brother deserves guilt, so that your burden will be made lighter, however, the action of projection only increases guilt in your mind. It will do this until you give it to Holy Spirit. This is the only manner in which you will not increase guilt, in your mind or any one elses. Never delay in turning thoughts over to the H.S. In delay is unhappiness prolonged and the truth buried in denying thoughts. Denial used this way never offers anything you want.

The truth of God’s Creation will prevail over any dream the sick mind conjures up. Remember that the ego is not God proof.
While you still think that you have forsaken your Father, you are mistaken. Be willing to be wrong about what you think is true. You can never be “right” while you think you are apart from God.

What I Am Learning

What am I learning from this experience? The experience of illness, limitation.
This is not being done to me—I am doing this (dreaming this). My fear thoughts (self-hate) have come forth, they have come up for forgiveness.
I am learning that instead of making this dream more real, I am to let go of the hurtful attack thoughts and be willing to accept H.S.’s judgment in place of my own.

My desire makes it so—even if my desire is wrong (insane, backwards, hurtful). I am learning that my desire for punishment (illness) is what I receive.
Until the belief in my sinfulness is undone, I will still manifest the effects of “punishment.” (The ego sez) If I have taken God’s power from Him, then He cannot have the power to “save” me.
Dear Father, I give welcome to the truth. I clear the alter for It’s presence.
I am still as Love created me. Love is the way I walk in gratitude.  Amen.

Spirit:
Oh my child, if you only knew of the treasure that is yours! If you knew of the Love that abides with you, is in you, that sustains you eternally. You would, at the littlest thought of separation, remember. The little thoughts of fear cannot prevail against Truth. They are meaningless; merely mists in the in the sanctuary of your mind. They are nothing. What is unreal does not exist.

The egoic mind does not want you to remember that: “What is unreal does not exist.” It’s whole being depends on not being exposed as nothing. It seems to have unlimited supply of thoughts to disregard the truth. This is because you are now aware of it’s irrational system of defense. The ego always looks to justify its definition of “you;” it finds imperfection of any kind to keep it’s system intact and to keep you uncertain (of what you are).

Me: I may feel like like I can’t “control” the body (muscle response) but I can “control” the mind. I can certainly choose to give all fearful, all unloving thoughts over for correction. This correction or miracle comes only from the True Self. My choice is to follow Love and listen only to Love’s Voice. (Amen)
What is unloving can hardly be true—-(although I have taught myself the opposite).

Be Not Tempted

Hello Everyone,

A recent ‘prayer’ came to mind for me:
Dear J.
I want the truth. Help me accept the truth as It is. I want only what was given and belongs to me.
Let me accept Truth now and always. T.Y.V.M.  Amen

(and the accompanying responses from Spirit)

Spirit: Love does not “see” what fear looks upon.
Love cannot recognize what does not exist.
Love sees itself within the Light and fear finds what it seeks in darkness.

Dear Child, when you give loveless thoughts up, when you turn them over to the “higher court,” then you have taken the dark to the Light. In the Light, the false disappears. Accepting forgiveness is what you are here for. By forgiving others, you loosen the grip of insanity. By replacing rejection with love, you release your brothers from the prison of guilt. As you want to see their sinlessness, so will you accept your own sinlessness. Be willing to see not the bodies and minds of separation, but to see God’s Son everywhere. The Christ shines in perfect radiance if you choose to see Him. H. Spirit will show what is perfect and pure in anyone He brings to you, so you are not alone in seeing.

Dear J.
I felt so certain the first time ‘round with this “illness” that everything was for good—- and I was not fearful of the outcome of my diagnosis. I was certain of recovery. Was I just fooling myself? Where is certainty that all works together for good?

Spirit:  The false mind does not want to “give up” its home, its life. It thinks it will survive no matter what becomes of the body; it thinks that attack (in this case, attacking the body) is salvation. It thinks that by making pain (conflict) makes the body “real.” If the body is real, then Spirit can not be real, Love can not be real. Do not support such false thoughts. Give doubts up for correction, and ask peace to remain with you. Doubts are just another delay tactic to keep you from accepting What you are and your purpose of extending love.

The ego always looks to find someone to blame, some outside circumstance or event on which the prevailing condition can be put. The bodies eyes were made to “see” separation in all it’s forms. So you were given a Guide/Teacher who would show you a way to “see” without physical sight, to “hear” without unreal ears.

Now, be tempted not to continue on a path you undertook in a dream. Do not listen to the egoic voice without the ‘aide’ of correction that you did not make. Your feelings of despair stem not from your current situation. Such thoughts were rooted in guilt and there remain.
H. Spirit would teach you only that God’s Son is innocent. There is not now nor ever was separation, no sin is possible. Truth leads past all dreams. When you choose to remember, truth is under your discretion but only that.

Holy Spirit, Can Do!

Hello Happy Learners,
Here are some more re-minders that I found in Chapter 5, Section 3 ACIM.  To me, this was showing me how to return to a healed mind by listening to the One Voice,
the only real Voice in my confused mind.    (Italics are mine).

T-5.III  
The way to recognize your brother is by recognizing the Holy Spirit in him.
The Holy Spirit is the idea of healing. 2 Being thought, the idea gains as it is shared. 3 Being the Call for God, it is also the idea of God. 4 Since you are part of God it is also the idea of yourself, as well as of all His creations.

The Voice of the Holy Spirit is weak in you. 2 That is why you must share It. 3 It must be increased in strength before you can hear It. 4 It is impossible to hear It in yourself while It is so weak in your mind. 5 It is not weak in Itself, but It is limited by your unwillingness to hear It.

5 The Holy Spirit has the task of undoing what the ego has made. 6 He undoes it at the same level on which the ego operates, or the mind would be unable to understand the change.

The Holy Spirit is the Mediator between the interpretations of the ego and the knowledge of the spirit. 2 His ability to deal with symbols enables Him to work with the ego’s beliefs in its own language. 3 His ability to look beyond symbols into eternity enables Him to understand the laws of God, for which He speaks. 5 Understanding is light, and light leads to knowledge. 6 The Holy Spirit is in light because He is in you who are light, but you yourself do not know this.

The Holy Spirit is the perfect Teacher. 2 He uses only what your mind already understands to teach you that you do not understand it. 3 The Holy Spirit can deal with a reluctant learner without going counter to his mind, because part of it is still for God. 4 Despite the ego’s attempts to conceal this part, it is still much stronger than the ego, although the ego does not recognize it.
7 Nothing that is good can be lost because it comes from the Holy Spirit, the Voice for creation. 8 Nothing that is not good was ever created, and therefore cannot be protected.

What the ego makes it keeps to itself, and so it is without strength. 2 Its existence is unshared. 3 It does not die; it was merely never born.
11 The Atonement must be understood as a pure act of sharing. 12 That is what I meant when I said it is possible even in this world to listen to one Voice. 13 If you are part of God and the Sonship is One, you cannot be limited to the self the ego sees.

7 It is impossible to share opposing thoughts. 8 You can share only the thoughts that are of God and that He keeps for you.
I heard one Voice because I understood that I could not atone for myself alone.    2 Listening to one Voice implies the decision to share It in order to hear It yourself.
The Holy Spirit atones in all of us by undoing, and thus lifts the burden you have placed in your mind. 2 By following Him you are led back to God where you belong, and how can you find the way except by taking your brother with you?

6 You forsake yourself and God if you forsake any of your brothers. 7 You must learn to see them as they are, and understand they belong to God as you do. 8 How could you treat your brother better than by rendering unto God the things that are God’s?
The Atonement gives you the power of a healed mind, but the power to create is of God. 2 Therefore, those who have been forgiven must devote themselves first to healing because, having received the idea of healing, they must give it to hold it.

MIssing Time Lesson

Dear Everyone,

I recently had this lesson pop up——Thank You Holy Spirit for the insights!
In my waking dream, I have no idea what time it is, unless I have one of those devices that was made to measure time. Earlier in the day, I was trying to reach a tissue from the box that sits next to a travel clock. These are on a shelf next to my bed. In this attempt, I moved the travel clock and the battery in it was dislodged. I discovered this error when I turned in for the night.

The battery was no where in sight. This time, I said to myself: “so, I won’t know what time it is when I wake in the early hours.  Perhaps Spirit wants me to not know.”                                            I did not invite the ego mind to go ‘hay-wire’ (upset). I did not allow it to determine what would make me happy (finding the battery and having the clock functioning).

It seems to me, that I decided “for God.” I did not go into the “doing” mode of trying to find the battery or getting another battery. Or to fix or alter situation. I did not make it into a big deal.
The ego likes to go nuts, because it IS nuts—- crazy, cuckoo, bonkers. It is insane, not sane. It’s devotion to time keeps the whole illusion going.                                                                                                                              Time that seems to pass into minutes, hours, days, does not recognize the present, the Now.                                                                                                                  And I do not need to “go back” to a past event to attempt to correct something, as correction is not my job. That is H. Spirit’s job.

Time does not matter in Reality, it matters not to Spirit. Holy Spirit will teach me this by His use of time. Time does not matter—it has no connection to Love,                                                  it was not made by Love. What does not exist can hardly have meaning. What does not exist can have no effects. (Unless I choose to dream it does.)
