Attraction to Guilt

Yesterday morning I posed a question to Spirit, and share the response that I received.

Here I am Father—- please tell me about the attraction to guilt.

Since the ego is the belief in separation, this belief brings with it fear and guilt. The only cause of guilt is the belief in something that never happened. The belief that you could be something other (different) from Love brings guilt. The ego survival depends on guilt. If you did not believe in guilt, there would be no thought of separation and vice versa; if you did not believe in separation there would be no guilt.

The seeming attraction to guilt, comes from the ego perspective. It wants guilt because that is the illusion that holds it together, seeming to give it reality. Yet to remove faith in either is the undoing of both. This tiny fragment of thought does not want you to learn/remember that there is no thing that causes guilt. Yet you have total domain over your dream, and what you ask for you receive. If you truly want freedom, then forgive yourself for the dream you made. Forgive the images, thoughts, beliefs that you dream. In forgiving what is unreal, what never happened, you welcome the truth. You open your mind and accept the light that shines within. You choose only the Light of Love as what is yours. You let go of childish games and meaningless toys.

Yet as long as you place value on the images in your dream, so you keep your self from Heaven and awareness of Love. When you accept Guidance from your True Self, Holy Spirit, you are willing to lay aside the meaningless toys and empty images. You are willing to stop being the author of your world, your story, your self.
The things that seem to attract you in the dream are simply distractions to inhibit your waking. When you prefer your story over the truth, you will not receive the truth, for you have chosen your story. But you can always choose again. There is no shame in changing your mind about what you want.

Everything in your dream is simply a back drop, like that on a stage or movie. Minds that perceive the world as tragic, chaotic, barbaric and disastrous, only mistake the backdrop for reality. Yet given to H.S. to interpret the mind learns that there is only good. With H.S. the perception of good is always available no matter what is in the backdrop.
