Wb Lesson 133 Synopsis

I will not value what is valueless.

Today we list the real criteria by which to test all things you think you want. The laws that govern choice you cannot make, no more than you can make alternatives from which to choose.

We have stressed there are only two, however many there appear to be. It would be most ungenerous to you to let alternatives be limitless, and thus delay your final choice until you had considered all of them in time; and not been brought so clearly to the place where there is only one choice to be made.

1st, if you choose a thing that will not last forever, what you choose is valueless. Time can never take away a value that is real. 2nd, if you choose to take a thing away from someone else, you will have nothing. When you have denied their right to everything, you have denied your own. 3rd, why is the choice you made of value to you? What purpose does it serve? Here it is the easiest to be deceived. For what the ego wants it fails to recognize. The ego’s goals are obvious to anyone who cares to look for them. Here deception is doubled, for the one who is deceived will not perceive that he has merely failed to gain; he will believe he has served the ego’s hidden goals. According to the dictates of this deluded guide, he who saves the ego’s goals and serves them as his own, makes no mistakes (only sins).

The criterion for choice that is hardest to believe because it is overlaid with many levels of obscurity is: if you feel any guilt about your choice, you have allowed the ego’s goals to come between the real alternatives. And so you do not realize there are only two, and the alternative you think you chose seems fearful and too dangerous to be the nothingness it actually is.

All things are valuable or valueless. Choosing is easy just because of this. Complexity is nothing but a screen of smoke that hides the fact that no decision can be difficult.

Heaven is reached with empty hands [not grasping the meaningless or temporary] and open minds [not having decided they already know] which come with nothing to find everything and claim it as their own. With self deception laid aside, we will practice with honest willingness to value only the truly valuable and the real.

I will not value what is valueless, and what has value do I seek, for only that do I desire to find.

Wait in silence to receive what waits for everyone who reaches, unencumbered, to the gate of Heaven that swings open as he comes.

WB Lesson 132 Synopsis

The past few months I have hidden in the clouds of doubt, confusion and failure. In other words I had joined with the egoic mind and lost my Self. I had certainly forgotten to laugh!

Only the hidden belief in guilt can cause me to see a world of fear, pain, division and despair. I must see this world because I want the idea of separateness to be real. I make illusions because I want to change my reality. Thank goodness I can not really make any thing that is not Love so it cannot be real. And I am thankful that my tolerance for pain (suffering, punishment) may be high but it is not without limit.

I share with you what stood out to me in Lesson 132.

Belief is powerful indeed. The thoughts you hold are mighty, and illusions are as strong in their effects as is the truth.

Anyone is free to change his mind, and all his thoughts change with it. For to change your mind means you have changed the source of all ideas you think or ever thought or yet will think. You free the past from what you thought before. You free the future of all ancient thoughts of seeking what you do not want to find.

Your mind must give the world meaning. And what you behold upon it are your wishes, acted out so you can look on them and think them real.

There is no world apart from what you wish, and therein lies your ultimate release. Only change your mind on what you want to see, and all the world must change accordingly. It is not pride which tells you that you made the world you see, and that it changes as you change your mind. But it is pride that argues you have come into a world quite separate from yourself, impervious to what you think and quite apart from what you chance to think it is.

An earlier lesson contains the firm foundation for today’s idea (I loose the world from all I thought is was). You are as God created you. There is no place where you can suffer, and no time that can bring change to your eternal state. How can a world of time and place exist, if you remain as God created you?

There is no world apart from your ideas because ideas leave not their source, and you maintain the world within your mind in thought. To free the world from every kind of pain is simply to change your mind about yourself. If you are as God created you, you cannot think apart Him, nor make what does not share His timelessness and Love.  [above italics mine]

God’s creation is unlike the world in every way. As it was His Thought by which you were created, as it is your thought that made the world and must set it free, that you may know the Thoughts you share with God. God makes no distinctions in what is Himself and what is still Himself. No where does the Father end, the Son begin as something separate from Him.

There is no world because it is a thought apart from God/Love and is not real.

Begin your practice with this:
I who remain as God create me would loose the world from all I thought is was. For I am real because the world is not, and I would know my own reality.
Then merely rest, alert but with no strain, and let your mind in quietness be changed so that the world is freed, along with you.

What Is My Task?

Recently I was led to my past messages from Spirit and found this:

Spirit: Your task is not to make yourself “pure,” that is not your job; your task is to uncover and take to the Light the error thoughts that obscure love to you, to your awareness.

It seems a daunting task, because you hold so many beliefs, but as you are willing to question the validity of your beliefs, they will show their flimsy nature. As you take one belief and let it be wholly undone, this corrected perception will spread to each and every other belief. Healed perception will generalize to every area of your experience. This is why the ego system would maintain that your task is “daunting” and hopeless.

The ego system believes in itself, but you do not have to continue your allegiance to it. When you devote time to listening to Love’s Voice, the ego system will bring up feelings of unworthiness in it’s attempt to have you stop listening and stop practicing stilling your mind. Do not let it’s terror tactics prevent you from uncovering the Love that you are and that comes to you constantly

You ARE loved, not condemned. Your true mind is whole and complete in every way. The ego system has no power over you, for it has no power “against” Love. What is not real can not have effects or energy. What is not real does not exist. It can seem to have effects, it can appear to have energy but it is only an image made by the mind, an image that is false.

The sick mind projects, the healed mind has corrected or true perception. The healed mind recognizes only Love, and Love is all that it perceives. The healing always comes from the Holy Spirit to the mind that asks and welcomes correction or true interpretation. The H. Spirit is always in your mind, to Guide as you ask. There is no moment that you could be without His help and authority.    “I am forever an Effect of God.” (lesson 326)

What If It Never Happened?

I recently have been made aware of how the egoic mind does not want to waken (heal) and it has been running like a squirrel in a wheel. It does not want to take responsibility for thoughts/beliefs, for in accepting what “I” have made on my own I will came to know that it never was real. If it never happened then there is no cause for guilt and all are totally innocent. All remain as Love created.

The egoic mind does not want this acknowledgment because it wants to blame the world or everyone in it for what happens to the body. It does not want to be still and fills every space I give it with meaningless chatter. It uses every tactic it has to keep me weak, confused, despondent, but “tolerance for pain may be high but is not without limit.” I am willing to accept that this choice (a past decision) can be changed and need not be. The choice to believe what the ego teaches can be changed. I can learn not value its ideas/thoughts, mandates. To be an individual is not valuable, has no meaning and is totally false.

What God has “joined” cannot be put apart. There is only Oneness, there never was another or two. The intellectual mind cannot conceive of this as it was made to uphold the separation idea. It does not matter how long I replay the separation movie, it will never be made into reality. Love is the only reality. Love IS… Spirit IS… 

“If nothing has really happened, then why would you want to further believe and act as though it did?  It is up to you to allow correction of this belief and no one else.  In order to accomplish anything, one must allow Love to accomplish it for you.  .... Learn not to place value on what is not there.”*

WB Lesson 109 Cliffsnotes

I rest in God.  This thought will bring you the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and the happiness you seek. Completely undismayed, this thought will carry you through storms and strife, past misery and pain, past loss and death, and onward to the certainty of God. There is no suffering it cannot heal; no problem it cannot solve. And no appearance that will simply turn to truth before the eyes of you who rest in God.

You call to all to join you in your rest; they will not hear another voice because you gave your voice to God and now you rest in Him and let Him speak through you. In Him you have no cares, no concerns, no burdens, no anxiety, no pain, no fear of future and no past regrets. Let these periods of rest and respite reassure your mind that all its frantic fantasies were but dreams of fever that has passed away. Let it be still and thankfully accept its healing.

You rest within the peace of God today, quiet and unafraid. Each brother comes to take his rest and offer it to you. We rest together, for thus our rest is made complete, and what we give today we have received already.
