Quietly Listening for the Truth

Today we practice stilling our minds and listening for the truth… Awareness of Love’s Presence in our minds comes as we let our minds quiet… In quietness we hear the Voice for God and feel Love’s inner peace and joy…

Love’s Presence is always there behind the ego’s chatter, waiting to be accepted and extended to the world… We can tell that we are accepting Love, our true Source, by the level of deep inner peace we feel… We feel a sense of well being that comes with accepting our inner Light… We feel the gentleness and patience of unconditional Love… It is this we extend instead of the ego’s thoughts of separation… As we extend the Light, the false ideas in our minds are healed… We let go and let God… And we give thanks.

Accepting Ourselves as God Created Us

The decision to see that we are all the same Light of God, rather than separate or different identities, is the decision to accept ourselves as we were created. In truth, we cannot change What we are — One in the undivided Love of God.

Each of us has within our mind a Teacher Who brings us to this truth when we are willing to receive Holy Spirit’s correction of our beliefs about what we are. Our practice for today is to step back all through the day and open our minds to receive this truth of everyone’s oneness in God. As we accept ourselves as God created us, we free ourselves from the image of being separate and alone and without the power and Love of God.

Our simple practice today is to ask in our minds, “Holy Spirit, how would you see this?” When we ask this with willingness to accept His answer, we take giant strides on the journey of return to the awareness that we remain at Home in God’s Love.

Healing Is Accepting Oneness

It is impossible that anyone be healed alone. In sickness must he be apart and separate. But healing is his own decision to be one again, and to accept his Self with all Its parts intact and unassailed. In sickness does his Self appear to be dismembered, and without the unity that gives It life. But healing is accomplished as he sees the body has no power to attack the universal Oneness of God’s Son. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.137.3:2-6)

We have no identity that is separate from the universal Oneness of God’s Son. This universal Oneness is incomprehensible when we are identified with the ego thought system of separation. Despite this blindness, there is a Part of our mind that is always with us Which sees this oneness. This is our true Self.

To experience healing, we must redirect our allegiance from the ego to the one Self that Love created. This Self is incapable of being sick. This Self knows only Love, sees only Love and gives only Love. When we are aligned with our one Self, we are in peace, for peace is Love’s condition.

Our practice today is to be mindful of anything that disturbs our peace and use it as a reminder to realign with our true Self. This is how we return to the experience of our innate peace. This is how we accept our oneness with God’s one Son, our Self.

I Accept and Extend My Inner Light Today

This is our prayer for today:

Let me not obscure the light of the world in me.
Let the light of the world shine through this appearance.
This shadow will vanish before the light.
(A Course in Miracles W-pI.81.2:2-4)

Today we choose to accept and extend the peace of God. We make way for this by letting go of thinking that we know on our own how to solve any particular problem. We let the calm Light within us show us what lies beyond appearances. As we see every situation through this Light, we are healed along with every brother.

The Memory of God Comes to the Quiet Mind

The memory of God comes to the quiet mind. It cannot come where there is conflict, for a mind at war against itself remembers not eternal gentleness.

The war against yourself was undertaken to teach the Son of God that he is not himself, and not his Father’s Son. For this, the memory of his Father must be forgotten. It is forgotten in the body’s life, and if you think you are a body, you will believe you have forgotten it. Yet truth can never be forgotten by itself, and you have not forgotten what you are. Only a strange illusion of yourself, a wish to triumph over what you are, remembers not.

Let all this madness be undone for you, and turn in peace to the remembrance of God, still shining in your quiet mind.” (A Course in Miracles T-23.I.1:1-2;5:1-5;8:9)

Our true Nature is remembered as we practice letting our mind quiet. When we want God’s peace above all else, that is what we will find. In truth we are God’s peace. In truth we have never left our Father’s Mind. We have never left the one Mind of Love. We still reside in Love as Love. And this is true about every brother, eternally.

Today we practice letting our minds return to Love. In this sacred place, we receive inspiration in how to be truly helpful to every brother as we wake up from the dream of separation. We heal as we accept the healing truth that Love is One and never could be divided. We live in joy as we accept the eternal truth today.

What Am I and Where Am I In Truth?

You cannot be anywhere God did not put you, and God created you as part of Him. That is both where you are and what you are. It is completely unalterable. It is total inclusion.

God created His Sons by extending His Thought, and retaining the extensions of His Thought in His Mind. All His Thoughts are thus perfectly united within themselves and with each other. The Holy Spirit enables you to perceive this wholeness now. God created you to create. You cannot extend His Kingdom until you know of its wholeness. (A Course in Miracles T-6.II.6:2-5;8)

Today let us remember our wholeness. Let us remember we are Love and nothing else. Let us remember What we are and Where we are eternally. Let us remember we are all part of Him, with no exclusions. With this remembrance we see Love and nothing else.

Joining with Jesus

In the Course Jesus asks us to join with him that we may be aware of his healing perspective as we go through our day. Today we practice quiet listening and receptiveness to hear the truth about ourselves and every brother. Today is a day of quiet listening. Today we focus on our willingness to hear the truth instead of dwelling on illusions of separation.

Jesus is a symbol of an awakened mind, of believing in no illusion and seeing only Love, only innocence. It doesn’t matter what label we give this symbol. But our ultimate purpose is to let go of all belief in illusions and join with the one Mind of Love that unites us as the Son of God. This letting go begins with quiet listening so that we can be taught that we are already joined with all our brothers. There is no place for guilt or fear when we see only Love.
