We Let Ourselves Be Carried Today

Today it is our function to listen and receive. As we are willing to step back and let Him lead the way, all our doing in the world will flow with ease, reflecting the peace of our true Self. This is our dedication for today.

Siding with Truth and Letting Illusions Go

We have a mighty purpose to fulfill, and have been given everything we need with which to reach the goal. Not one mistake stands in our way. For we have been absolved from errors. All our sins are washed away by realizing they were but mistakes.

The guiltless have no fear, for they are safe and recognize their safety. They do not appeal to magic, nor invent escapes from fancied threats without reality. They rest in quiet certainty that they will do what it is given them to do. They do not doubt their own ability because they know their function will be filled completely in the perfect time and place. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.98.2:3-3:4)

Every time we try to make plans on our own, we are trying to invent an escape from a fancied threat. The threat seems real only because we believe the fantasy of an external world of form is real. The world will always appear threatening as long as we believe we are in a body, separate from our brothers and our Source. But we have been given everything we need to help us let go of that mistaken belief — it is the gift of the Holy Spirit in our minds.

As we are willing to let the Holy Spirit be our Guide and Interpreter of everything we see or experience in the world, we will be shown the path that leads out of a threatening world and into the certainty of the peace of our Home in God. Our willingness may be inconsistent, but every time we are willing, we experience the confirmation of our safety and our trust is strengthened. We move forward with steadier steps toward the perfect happiness that is God’s gift to His beloved Son, our one Self.

Love Looks on Itself

From your holy relationship truth proclaims the truth, and love looks on itself. Salvation flows from deep within the home you offered to my Father and to me. And we are there together, in the quiet communion in which the Father and the Son are joined. …Send forth to all the world the joyous message of the end of guilt, and all the world will answer. Think of your happiness as everyone offers you witness of the end of sin, and shows you that its power is gone forever. Where can guilt be, when the belief in sin is gone? (A Course in Miracles T-19.IV.B.7:1-3,6-8)

Today it is our opportunity to see our holy relationship with every brother. Today it is our opportunity to remember that our true Identity is the Love of our Father. As Love we easily see past the nothingness of guilt. As Love we see only Love. Everyone becomes a witness to the truth in us.

What an opportunity we have today to feel the happiness that comes with seeing past separation to the truth of Love’s oneness. As we meet or even think about anyone today, our practice is to focus on the innocence of Love in them. And we will see our innocence in Love reflected back to us. We will learn that Love is all there really is to see.

Call the World to Be at One with You

Your own acknowledgment you are one Self, united with your Father, is a call to all the world to be at one with you. To everyone you meet today, be sure to give the promise of today’s idea and tell him this:

You are one Self with me, united with our Creator in this Self.
I honor you because of What I am, and What He is, Who loves us both as one. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.95:15)

This practice is calling on us to see no one as a body. Our job is to see past the forms of the world to the reality of the one Self that we share with all and that unites us with our Creator.

If anyone’s behavior or an event or circumstance disturbs our peace, then we are giving “reality” to the form and reacting to it instead of seeing past it to the one Self. The correction for this error is available to us if we are willing to bring it to the Holy Spirit in our minds with an openness to receive His reinterpretation, His vision. With His help we will see past the forms that divide us and once again remember the one Self that unites us as one with each other and our Creator.

Each time we are willing to bring our errors in perception to the Holy Spirit and accept His loving correction, we call the world to be at one with us. Here we find peace. Here we remember Heaven.

True Healing Is Letting Go of Our Belief in Separation

The seemingly endless forms of problems in the world are just a disguise to hide from our awareness the one problem that underlies them all — the belief in separation. We scurry about, seeking to find solutions to the forms of the problems, sometimes seeming to succeed, only to have another problem crop up. On this futile effort, the ego smiles for it has succeeded in its primary goal, seek and do not find.

To free ourselves from this endless loop that leads nowhere, we must be willing to consider the possibility that we are wrong about what we perceive our problems are. A little doubt here goes a long way toward opening the door for Holy Spirit to show us the truth behind the facade of problems. Willingness to question what the problem is and asking Holy Spirit to help us see through to the one problem that underlies them all opens our minds to receive the real solution to the one problem.

Our practice today is to ask Holy Spirit’s help to see past the forms of problems that appear so that we can recognize the one underlying problem of belief in separation, and thus receive the one solution that will return us to the perfect happiness that is our natural state.

Melt into God’s Peace

With every concern or problem that comes up for us today, we have an inner Teacher to guide us. We open to this guidance by being willing to receive our inner Teacher’s gift of peace. As we take the time to receive the gentle, healing flow of peace, that which is not truly helpful gently falls away. Calm replaces uncertainty. Inner quietness replaces turmoil. A sense of safety and well being replaces fear.

Inspiration is naturally there in this quiet place where we have made room for the Holy Spirit’s gifts of peace and Love. Happiness bubbles up as our inner Comforter quietly heals all thoughts that are not true. Simple, uncomplicated Love prevails. All this comes with our willingness to take the time to melt into God’s peace.

Letting the Holy Spirit’s Blessings Extend Through Us

Today we receive the gifts the Holy Spirit has for us. Our minds are open and receptive. We receive the peace the Holy Spirit gives and extend it to the world. The Holy Spirit sees the Christ in us, and we in turn see the Christ in every brother we meet or even think of. The blessings we receive we give.

What a happy opportunity we have today to practice receiving Holy Spirit’s gifts and keeping them by giving them to all.
