Bringing Blessing Through Our Doing

Our focus in all our doings today is to follow our true Self’s lead. As we do this, our doing will bless the world, for it will be Love’s expression. To follow our true Self’s lead, we must be vigilant for peace. Peace opens our minds to the inspiration of our Self. In peace we recognize calls for Love and respond with Love. This practice brings healing to our minds and blesses the world.

Recognizing Illusion with Holy Spirit

Whatever presents itself to you, whatever the circumstances, there are still only two possible choices. You always choose between Truth and illusion, between Love and fear, and in the decision for Truth is illusion corrected and your mind set free.…

The Holy Spirit will teach you step by step how to recognize illusion and how to respond to it. He will show you, if you let Him, that you are in no danger and under no threat that does not emanate from your own mind. (From the Christ Mind, pgs 163, 164)

Whenever we are not peaceful, fear has entered in, whether we realize it or not. Fear thoughts come from the ego mind. We heal as we allow fear thoughts to be recognized for what they are, with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always there waiting for the opportunity to undo our false beliefs. We are safe in Heaven, whether we are aware of it or not.

Today it is our opportunity to allow the Holy Spirit to bring us the peace that passes all understanding. As we are willing to accept the peace that is inherently ours, we free ourselves and our brothers from the bondage that comes with belief in illusions. Our minds are purified and peace returns. We are filled with gratitude as we remember, again and again, that only Love is real.

We Welcome the Truth of Love Today

We let the truth return to our minds today… We welcome awareness of Reality instead of illusions… We welcome awareness of God’s peace instead of focusing on the dreams of separation… We welcome that truth that we still are the perfect Love that God created us to be…

We welcome the truth that we are still in Heaven now… We are safe and healed and whole in eternity… We allow ourselves to be carried to the truth of Love’s oneness instead the diversity and constant change found in the ego’s illusions of separation from God’s changeless Love…

We welcome the truth today… We are willing to accept the peace that comes with remembering the truth… We welcome the truth of Love today…

Being Vigilant for Ease and Peace

Struggle and conflict are attributes of the ego. Ease and peace are attributes of our true Self. We can use the experience of struggle and conflict as reminders that it is time to step back and return to our center of peace within. The ego loves it when we try to bull our way through struggle, for we are identified with the ego and attempting to use the ego’s ineffective means to solve problems.

While we believe we are in the world, there still appear to be things to do. When we let our true Self guide our doing, it will always be with ease and peace. As we practice paying attention to how we are experiencing the present moment — with struggle and conflict or ease and peace — each moment becomes an exercise in letting our Self lead. Struggle and conflict show us that we have turned away from our Self and so it is time to turn back. Ease and peace affirms that we let our true Self lead.

Today we will be vigilant for ease and peace.

Joining Our Will with God’s

Have confidence in your Father today, and be certain that He has heard you and answered you. You may not recognize His answer yet, but you can indeed be sure that it is given you and you will yet receive it. Try, as you attempt to go through the clouds to the light, to hold this confidence in your mind. Try to remember that you are at last joining your will to God’s. Try to keep the thought clearly in mind that what you undertake with God must succeed. Then let the power of God work in you and through you, that His Will and yours be done.” A Course in Miracles, (W-pI.69.8)

Our true will is the same as God’s Will. Holding a grievance against anything or any one in the world is a denial of our true will and therefore makes us unaware of God’s Will. This is why forgiveness is the key to our release from hell and our return to the perfect safety and peace of Heaven. Heaven is already ours. It is in us.

Today we hold Holy Spirit’s hand and let the Holy Spirit guide us past the self-made quagmire that hides the Light of our true Self from our awareness. As we walk with Holy Spirit, He will show us the complete lack of substance of all our grievances. As we accept His vision in place our ours, the Light of Love grows stronger in our awareness. With Holy Spirit’s help, we join our will with God’s.

Accepting the Strength of God in Us

Put not your faith in illusions. They will fail you. Put all your faith in the Love of God within you; eternal, changeless and forever unfailing. This is the answer to whatever confronts you today. Through the Love of God within you, you can resolve all seeming difficulties without effort and in sure confidence. Tell yourself [I am the sustained by the Love of God] often today. It is a declaration of release from the belief in idols. It is your acknowledgment of the truth about yourself. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.50.4)

All our strength comes from the Love of God in us. The image of being a body and looking upon a world of forms is an empty illusion with no power of its own. While we identify with being a body, it does seem that we are vulnerable, subject to attack and needing to protect ourselves.

Today’s affirmation, “I am sustained by the Love of God,” helps us remember the truth about What we are. As we progress from this being a comforting idea to recognizing that this is the truth about us, we move from living in fear to living in peace and joy. This practice is the greatest gift we can give ourselves today.

Willingness to Accept God’s Gifts

Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function. Why should we attack our minds, and give [our minds] images of pain? Why should we teach [our minds] they are powerless, when God holds out His power and His Love, and bids [our minds] take what is already theirs? The mind that is made willing to accept God’s gifts has been restored to spirit, and extends its freedom and its joy, as is the Will of God united with its own. The Self which God created cannot sin, and therefore cannot suffer. Let us choose today that He be our Identity, and thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.330.1)

Willingness to forgive is willingness to accept God’s gifts. Forgiveness ends suffering. Forgiveness means letting go of the idea that we could have another will than God’s. Forgiveness accepts God’s will as ours and allows us to accept our one Identity which we share with God. Today we are willing to accept God’s gifts of Love and peace and joy as ours. Today will be a day of forgiveness.
