Learn to Be Quiet

Mary: 
This morning what stood out to me with our reading of A Course in Miracles was: “Have you yet learned to stand aside and hear the Voice of Judgment in yourself? Or do you still attempt to take His role from Him? Learn to be quiet, for His Voice is heard in stillness. And His Judgment comes to all who stand aside in quiet listening, and wait for Him.” M-15.2:10-13

This is my practice now. If I am honest I have to acknowledge that I still do “attempt to take His role from Him.” I am observing that many times a day I still think I already know and go on automatic pilot, bringing what I learned from the past to the present. This is not what brings me happiness. So today I have another opportunity to practice the learning that comes from my true Self… learning to by quiet and listen for the truth. As I truly am willing, the truth will return to my awareness. I have only been blocking it off because I thought I already knew.

In my daily practice I am finding that if I focus on simply melting into peace, that peace comes. In particular I focus on relaxing the muscles around my eyes and jaw and shoulders and arms. An image of being showered with the healing Light of peace often comes to me as I do this. As I stick with this and don’t let my mind wander, the peace goes deeper and the feeling that everything is alright grows strong. Peace replaces the fearful thoughts I held before. Wholeness replaces separation. I feel deep gratitude and appreciation that nothing has happened to change God’s one Son. The truth is true and nothing else is true. I breathe deeply. Inspiration comes easily and I am guided in how to be truly helpful once again. This practice is my lesson now until I learn that this is all I want.

Robert:
I do not deserve anything in the world because nothing in the world is worthy of God’s Son. To value any form in the world is to devalue What I am. It is choosing emptiness in place of wholeness. It is choosing vulnerability in place of changelessness.

There is only one meaningful purpose for anything in the world and that is how it serves to express or reflect Love. Nothing else matters. The perception of some other value is simply a reminder to forgive, to let go of what is interfering with my experience of Love’s Presence.

Now I settle into Love’s warm embrace. I welcome It and feel It fill me with the certainty of changelessness. As I accept It fully, it overflows and I cannot help but offer that deep, kind, all embracing Love everywhere. As I let It flow through me, I experience It as mine. My heart is filled with gratitude for all my brothers who share this Love with me.

I Will Make No Decision on My Own

Mary:
Early this morning I woke up with the communication (that included feelings and impressions) that God has a Warehouse and that everyone owns all of God’s Warehouse, whether they recognize it or not. God’s Warehouse is filled with His gifts of peace, happiness and all-inclusive Love.

I then saw myself as the decision maker with two warehouses to choose between. The ego’s warehouse was filled with glistening things (images), forms of uniqueness and specialness. It included special houses, special people, special times, special locations. I stood between these two warehouses as the decision maker and Holy Spirit was there with me.

The Holy Spirit said, “If you want true happiness, do not make decisions on your own. When you make decisions with Me, you are relinquishing the role of decision maker and letting yourself be carried. As you are willing to consistently step back and be carried, I always take you to God’s Warehouse where peace and joy are eternal.

“This is your job now — to let yourself be carried. You really do not want to make decisions on your own, because on your own your decisions are always mistaken. Let this be the theme of the rest of your ‘life’: I will make no decisions on my own. I let myself be carried to the truth.”

This little early morning time with Holy Spirit feels very significant to me. I see very clearly that if I feel happy, I am letting myself be carried. If I feel a lack of peace or impatient, I have once again tried to decide something on my own. My lesson is very simple. Today my practice is to let myself be carried by making no decisions on my own.

Robert:
If I value any form in the world, believing it has something I want, I will feel a sense of emptiness and incompletion. To value an image I must first have decided that something is missing in me that can be filled by this image. But being an image without substance, it cannot satisfy. Feeling incomplete is not a happy feeling.

I have a choice for how to remedy this feeling. I can choose to seek another image in the hope that perhaps it can fill the emptiness I feel. But it will never satisfy and will lead to an ongoing effort to seek and not find.

The other option is to withdraw belief that there is any value in form and let the Holy Spirit decide what has value on my behalf. The Holy Spirit will always decide for the completion of the Love of God. In Love I experience completion and joy. In Love I am grateful for all the Love that surrounds me. I see only Love. All sense of loss disappears.

Do I want to know my completion and experience perfect happiness? Then I must choose not to decide on my own, but to let the Holy Spirit guide every decision. His guidance will always lead me out of emptiness to the eternal completion of Love.

Gratitude

Robert: 
I am grateful that the Love of God is changeless. I am grateful that this Love is what I am. I am grateful that even in my delusion of separation, there remains a connection to the reality of Love that cannot be broken. I am grateful for the call of Love that reaches through belief in isolation and lack of Love, reminding me of What I am. I am grateful that this call offers me the means for release from beliefs that seem to veil me in darkness. I am grateful that I can choose in every moment that Love be my Guide. Today I dedicate to choosing Love.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Let yourself be open to Holy Spirit’s gift of peace. Practice receiving peace all through the day. Let receiving peace be your highest priority. When you forget, return to accepting peace. Accepting peace is your pathway to Heaven. When you truly accept peace, a knowing comes with it that all is well, no matter what dreams may appear.

Following Holy Spirit’s Lead In Every Moment

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Accept Holy Spirit’s patience. Stay in the present moment. Accept Holy Spirit’s gift of peace. Step back and follow.

Let peace be your one goal and you will naturally led in a way that is filled with joy and happiness. Know that God’s Will is your will. Give God’s Will a chance by keeping your mind open to following Holy Spirit’s lead. When you see your own opinions cropping up, step back and hand them over right away. Relax and soften frequently and put out the welcome mat to the Holy Spirit all through your day.

As soon as you notice tension cropping up, hand it over. Soften and relax, again and again and again. This constant practice will reap great rewards. Eternal rewards. Start now, in this present moment and practice it again and again until the habit is your automatic response. Let this be your constant focus.

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Heaven is now. There is no other place nor time. Forgiveness is letting go of the past. Forgiveness opens the door to now, where everything you are is safely held in God’s Love. Let go dear holy Son of God. Dreams of separation do not serve you. Let them go and welcome the Self Love created you to be. Accept the Self you are. Remember, all pain and suffering, fear and sorrow, lack and loss are only symptoms of a dream of being separate from your Self. Let them remind you to return to peace and open your heart and mind to the Holy Spirit’s loving vision. This vision will show you the resurrected Son of God. It will show you the Son as He was created to be and as you are.

Waste no more time in fruitless searches for satisfaction where it cannot be found. Let go and follow Holy Spirit’s lead to the Heaven that is your Home, now.

Walk in Peace

Mary:
I accept the peace of God. I give time to resting in God’s peace. That is my little willingness — to join with God’s peace, melt into God’s peace. I willingly let all tension go. I take all thoughts to peace. Here I find my limitless Self. Here I remember that I am safe and that everyone is safe. Here I remember that in truth all dreams are harmless because they are merely dreams. Nothing has really happened to change the infinite Light that is eternal… infinite peace… infinite joy… all one Spirit of happiness and Love. There is nothing to do here… just enjoy the perfection, the happiness, the changeless Love… Here is my Home. Here is everyone’s Home. This is what is real.

Holy Spirit to Robert: 
Remember what you really want. You want the peace of God. You want to remember the Self that Love created. You have tricked yourself into believing that some form or circumstance or situation in the world will bring you comfort and happiness. But nothing in the world is worthy of you because nothing in the world is real.

Practice walking in peace today. Peace will show you the Light that lies beyond the empty images. In this Light is your strength. This Light is your Self. Only in the Light will you find completion, peace and satisfaction. Practice walking in peace today. With this practice, every moment becomes a means to awaken to your Self and to share the Light of your Self with all. As you walk in peace, every moment brings you to greater awareness of the Light you are and share.

Walk Softly in the World

Holy Spirit to Robert: 
“Walk softly in the world” means don’t give credence to the images of the world. They are not real and can have no effect on the Son of God. As you walk softly, you are able to see past the images to the reality of the invulnerability and strength of the Love you are. In seeing this you recognize that Love is everywhere and only Love is real.

You do not need to defend against the images of the world. Your only need is to extend Love. Where there is the appearance of lack of Love, you offer Love. Where Love is offered, you join with It and extend It. This is natural to you, the Son of God. As you accept this you recognize that all the appearances of bodies and personalities are simply masks that seem to hide the Son of God Who is the one extension of God’s Love.

Walk softly today and let Love guide all your seeing. Love will show you all forms of doing that will help to bring awareness of Love’s presence everywhere.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
An important key to receiving a change in perception is to focus on relaxing and letting go, letting your mind receive the Light of truth, putting out the “welcome mat” for your inner Teacher in quiet. It does not matter how much time this takes. Your willingness to receive the truth is what matters.

During this time you may receive images of being showered with Light or peace. Taking the time to receive the peace and feeling it is very helpful. As peace takes over, you see that there is nothing more for you to do. You just receive. The strength of God does the rest. Your little part is to be open to receive.

The ego thoughts just naturally fall away as the Light grows stronger. The feeling that everything is all right and that you are safe gets stronger. You identify with this feeling of peace as Home. As the feeling of peace grows even stronger, you experience being free of stress and strain. You experience that the individual self identity dissolves in this peaceful Light. Nothing matters now but this Light of Love. You see that It is all that is real. You naturally receive and extend the Love and Light that you feel. It feels so effortless and natural.

You innately know that this is your function now — to open to Love’s presence and extend Love’s presence. This is how you heal. This is how you are healed. This is what time is for.

Opening the Door to Peace

Robert: 
Peace cannot be found in the world. Peace can be experienced in the world, but it comes from within, not from a world outside. To find the peace that is inherent in What I am, I need to lift the veil of beliefs and self-concepts that hide it from my awareness. This is what forgiveness does.

I cannot let go of false beliefs without help from outside of the belief system I hold dear. I am grateful for the Voice for God in my mind That is there ready to teach me what is true and what is not. It is there to help me release what interferes with my experience of the Self that Love created.

Today I dedicate to practicing holding my heart and mind open to the Holy Spirit’s kind and patient teaching that leads me to the remembrance of the Love I am that joins me with all my brothers.

Mary:
When I open to the changeless Love of the one eternal Spirit of Love, I feel safe and patient. I know that everything is alright and that all is well. I feel at peace. When I forget this, I get caught up in the stories of suffering and loss, of guilt and death.

I can see the difference in how I feel with each state of mind. This motivates me to accelerate my willingness to consistently choose the peace that opens the door to the awareness of Love’s presence. As I let this habit become stronger, I am able to apply it to more and more situations. I am able to generalize accepting the truth of oneness instead of separation in more situations.

This is my practice today and every day. Do I want to continue with the ego’s false stories and feel the pain and stress that goes with it? Or do I want to accept the awareness of my true Self and the peace and understanding that goes with this? My true Self is always there ready to bring me the awareness of Love’s presence as I am willing. My practice today is to relax and follow Holy Spirit’s lead.
