Learning to Be a Conduit for God’s Love

The Thought of peace was given to God’s Son the instant that his mind had thought of war. ²There was no need for such a Thought before, for peace was given without opposite, and merely was. ³But when the mind is split there is a need of healing. ⁴So the Thought that has the power to heal the split became a part of every fragment of the mind that still was one, but failed to recognize its oneness. ⁵Now it did not know itself, and thought its own Identity was lost.

Salvation is undoing in the sense that it does nothing, failing to support the world of dreams and malice. ²Thus it lets illusions go. ³By not supporting them, it merely lets them quietly go down to dust. ⁴And what they hid is now revealed; an altar to the holy Name of God whereon His Word is written, with the gifts of your forgiveness laid before it, and the memory of God not far behind.

Let us come daily to this holy place, and spend a while together. ²Here we share our final dream. ³It is a dream in which there is no sorrow, for it holds a hint of all the glory given us by God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.2.2:1–4:3)

As we look at situations in the world today, what do we see? Do we see loss, a need to defend or protect? Does it bring fear or guilt into our mind? If this is how we see it, we are seeing it through the eyes of the ego.

But we can see the world differently. If we accept the Holy Spirit’s vision, we will see calls for Love. We will see opportunities to be conduits for God’s Love. As we let Love flow through us, we will experience God’s peace. We will experience the blessing that comes when we give the Love we receive.

God’s Love for us, His Son, is constant, unwavering and unlimited. To know we have It, we must accept It and give It. Today we dedicate to being God’s messengers of Love. Thus will we teach ourselves that we are Love along with all our brothers.

Claiming Our Identity in God

I am God’s Son, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love. ²In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life. ³In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite. ⁴I am the holy home of God Himself. ⁵I am the Heaven where His Love resides. ⁶I am His holy Sinlessness Itself, for in my purity abides His Own.

Ours are the eyes through which Christ’s vision sees a world redeemed from every thought of sin. ²Ours are the ears that hear the Voice for God proclaim the world as sinless. ³Ours the minds that join together as we bless the world. ⁴And from the oneness that we have attained we call to all our brothers, asking them to share our peace and consummate our joy.

We are the holy messengers of God who speak for Him, and carrying His Word to everyone whom He has sent to us, we learn that it is written on our hearts. ²And thus our minds are changed about the aim for which we came, and which we seek to serve. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.14.1;4:1–5:2)

In the dream world of separation, . We accept this mission as we let the Holy Spirit be our Guide in all things. He gives the body a purpose different from what it was made to serve. Its new purpose is to be a medium of communication to give God’s messages of Love and peace to the world. It answers all the fear and guilt with Love.

As we let the Holy Spirit direct our thoughts and actions, we learn to see with Christ’s vision. We see the calls for Love in the fear and guilt portrayed in worldly situations. As we let Love be expressed through us, we learn that we are Love. This is how we become God’s hands and feet and voice in the world.

Seeing Love’s Reflection in the World

Today I let Christ’s vision look upon all things for me and judge them not, but give each one a miracle of love instead.

So would I liberate all things I see, and give to them the freedom that I seek. ²For thus do I obey the law of love, and give what I would find and make my own. ³It will be given me, because I have chosen it as the gift I want to give. ⁴Father, Your gifts are mine. ⁵Each one that I accept gives me a miracle to give. ⁶And giving as I would receive, I learn Your healing miracles belong to me.

Our Father knows our needs. ²He gives us grace to meet them all. ³And so we trust in Him to send us miracles to bless the world, and heal our minds as we return to Him. (A Course in Miracles, W-349. See also ACIM Lesson 349 Insights.)

Christ’s vision brings forgiveness with It for all our perceptions. This world reflects what we believe about ourselves. When we believe we are a body, vulnerable and weak, we see a world of attack and loss. But when we forgive our mistaken beliefs, the world we see reflects the Love that is revealed by our forgiveness.

Today we ask for Christ’s vision to show us the Love we seek. With His vision, we will remember the Love we are. We see every moment as an opportunity to join in Love. In this joining, we find peace and happiness. We recognize our oneness with all of God’s Creation.

Remembering We Live in God’s Love

Into His Presence would I enter now.

This is a day of silence and of trust. ²It is a special time of promise in your calendar of days. ³It is a time Heaven has set apart to shine upon, and cast a timeless light upon this day, when echoes of eternity are heard. ⁴This day is holy, for it ushers in a new experience; a different kind of feeling and awareness. ⁵You have spent long days and nights in celebrating death. ⁶Today you learn to feel the joy of life.

Today it will be given you to feel a touch of Heaven, though you will return to paths of learning. ²Yet you have come far enough along the way to alter time sufficiently to rise above its laws, and walk into eternity a while. ³This you will learn to do increasingly, as every lesson, faithfully rehearsed, brings you more swiftly to this holy place and leaves you, for a moment, to your Self.

³Nothing is needed but today’s idea to light your mind, and let it rest in still anticipation and in quiet joy, wherein you quickly leave the world behind.

From this day forth, your ministry takes on a genuine devotion, and a glow that travels from your fingertips to those you touch, and blesses those you look upon. ²A vision reaches everyone you meet, and everyone you think of, or who thinks of you. ³For your experience today will so transform your mind that it becomes the touchstone for the holy Thoughts of God. The experience of God’s Love is always available to us. We are only unaware of It while we identify with a body and what we perceive through the body. The body is the ego’s central image it uses to make separation seem real. But we are not a body.

This recognition is the first step toward opening our mind to the presence of God. The practice of pausing to let our minds settle into the peace within opens the door to realizing we are always in God’s presence. As we let our mind be still, the Light of Love is welcome. We feel the peace of God. We know we are safe from this state of mind. We see every brother as united with us in the one Self that is God’s Son. We remember our unity in Love. No one is excluded.

Today will be a blessed day as we practice holding our mind open to the awareness that we are in God’s Presence now and forever.

Being a Messenger of Love

Christ’s Second Coming, which is sure as God, is merely the correction of mistakes, and the return of sanity. ²It is a part of the condition that restores the never lost, and re-establishes what is forever and forever true. ³It is the invitation to God’s Word to take illusion’s place; the willingness to let forgiveness rest upon all things without exception and without reserve.

It is the all-inclusive nature of Christ’s Second Coming that permits it to embrace the world and hold you safe within its gentle advent, which encompasses all living things with you. ²There is no end to the release the Second Coming brings, as God’s creation must be limitless. ³Forgiveness lights the Second Coming’s way, because it shines on everything as one. ⁴And thus is oneness recognized at last.

Pray that the Second Coming will be soon, but do not rest with that. ²It needs your eyes and ears and hands and feet. ³It needs your voice. ⁴And most of all it needs your willingness. ⁵Let us rejoice that we can do God’s Will, and join together in its holy light. ⁶Behold, the Son of God is one in us, and we can reach our Father’s Love through Him. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.9.1–2;5)

We would not need the Second Coming had we not bought into the ego’s wish for specialness. This wish denies God’s Love, which makes it seem that His Love has been lost.

We need to be willing to question the meaning we give to every perception we have. When we let the Holy Spirit’s vision show us the presence of our Father’s unlimited Love in all things, we remember we are His Son. As we accept His vision, we become His messengers of Love to the world. We dedicate today to being bringers of Love’s Light to the world.

A Day of Remembering We Are Love

I will there be light.

²I will use the power of my will today. ³It is not my will to grope about in darkness, fearful of shadows and afraid of things unseen and unreal. ⁴Light shall be my guide today. ⁵I will follow it where it leads me, and I will look only on what it shows me. ⁶This day I will experience the peace of true perception.”

²This cannot hide the light I will to see.
³You stand with me in light, [name].
⁴In the light this will look different. (W-87.1;2:2-4)

To say “I will there be light” is to affirm that we want to be our true Self. We want to be Love. We accept that we are as God created us. We accept that we are His Son.

Because we chose to identify with the ego, we need to remind ourselves frequently that the Light of Love is with us. The affirmations in this lesson help us recognize situations in which we may be blocking the light, so we can choose the alternative that dispels the darkness. With this practice we will have a day of remembering we are Love.

Accepting God’s Will as Ours

To love my Father is to love His Son.

Let me not think that I can find the way to God, if I have hatred in my heart. ²Let me not try to hurt God’s Son, and think that I can know his Father or my Self. ³Let me not fail to recognize myself, and still believe that my awareness can contain my Father, or my mind conceive of all the love my Father has for me, and all the love which I return to Him.

I will accept the way You choose for me to come to You, my Father. ²For in that will I succeed, because it is Your Will. ³And I would recognize that what You will is what I will as well, and only that. ⁴And so I choose to love Your Son. ⁵Amen. Any judgment we make about our perceptions, any thought of guilt or fear is a form of hatred of God’s Son. It perceives His Son as separate, which is not God’s Will. The ego divides. God’s one Thought unifies in the oneness of Love.

His Will is to be Love and nothing else. To accept God’s Will as ours is to let go of all our judgments. It is our judgments that separate us from our Father.

Today we choose to listen to His Voice to guide us to see the Love that unites us with our brothers and our Father. With this vision, we remember the Self we are as His Son.
