Remembering Heaven

Forgiveness takes away what stands between your brother and yourself. It is the wish that you be joined with him, and not apart.

Salvation, perfect and complete, asks but a little wish that what is true be true; a little willingness to overlook what is not there; a little sigh that speaks for Heaven as a preference to this world that death and desolation seem to rule. In joyous answer will creation rise within you, to replace the world you see with Heaven, wholly perfect and complete. What is forgiveness but a willingness that truth be true? What can remain unhealed and broken from a unity which holds all things within itself? There is no sin. And every miracle is possible the instant that the Son of God perceives his wishes and the Will of God are one. (A Course in Miracles, T-26.VII.9:1-2;10. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

Judgment depends on believing that what we judge is separate from us. Judgment brings with it fear and guilt, pain and suffering, isolation and a sense of loss. It brings the appearance of Heaven’s opposite. When we let go of judgment, we open our minds to the recognition of Heaven as our Reality. Forgiveness is the willingness to let Oneness be true, and therefore let Heaven be our reality.

As we practice bringing all our thoughts of fear and guilt, of unhappiness and unworthiness, to the Holy Spirit in our minds to receive His healing vision, we move closer to letting the reality of Heaven dawn upon our minds. We choose to remember Heaven with this practice today.

Letting Love Light Our Day

Whatever I see reflects my thoughts. It is my thoughts that tell me where I am and what I am. The fact that I see a world in which there is suffering and loss and death shows me that I am seeing only the representation of my insane thoughts, and am not allowing my real thoughts to cast their beneficent light on what I see. Yet God’s way is sure. The images I have made cannot prevail against Him because it is not my will that they do so. My will is His, and I will place no other gods before Him. The world of the ego is a world of darkness because it is the denial of the Light of Love. To see our way out of the darkness of the ego’s world, we need to accept the Love that we are. The Light of Love will shine away the appearance of darkness.

Today we dedicate to welcoming Love’s Light. We choose the Light of Love as our Guide in all our doing through the day. With Love as our Guide, even seemingly menial tasks become extensions of Love. As we extend Love, we experience Love’s blessing. We feel blessed in all that we do as we let Love light the way. It will indeed be a blessed day.

Inspiration Is Available in Every Moment

There is not a moment in which God’s Voice ceases to call on my forgiveness to save me. There is not a moment in which His Voice fails to direct my thoughts, guide my actions and lead my feet.

As I listen to God’s Voice, I am sustained by His Love. As I open my eyes, His Love lights up the world for me to see. As I forgive, His Love reminds me that His Son is sinless. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.60.4:2-3;5:2-4. See also ACIM Lesson 60 Insights.)

Forgiveness draws away the curtain that hides the Light of Love from our awareness. Judgment, or unforgiveness, denies the Light of Love and simultaneously denies the inspiration that Love brings. The inspired life is infused with Love by the Source of inspiration.

This Source of inspiration is the Source of true happiness. Thus the path to true happiness and inspiration is through forgiveness. That is why we must be vigilant to bring all thoughts that disturb our peace to the Holy Spirit with willingness to accept His help to let them go.

This Help is ever present, waiting on our welcome. Today we commit to bringing all of our perceptions to the Holy Spirit with willingness to accept His gentle and happy correction. Through our willingness we will experience inspiration, which always extends Love.

We Choose a New Perception of the World

Let us today behold each other in the sight of Christ. How beautiful we are! How holy and how loving! Brother, come and join with me today. We save the world when we have joined. For in our vision it becomes as holy as the light in us. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.313.2. See also ACIM Lesson 313 Insights.)

The vision of Christ is seen through our inner spiritual vision. As we give priority to this inner vision instead of what the body’s eyes see, the forms of the world take on a new light. Their seeming reality fades and the world is covered with the Light of Love. Christ’s vision shows us Love’s innocence everywhere. Where Love is accepted, guilt is unknown.

Above all else we would see with Christ’s vision today. We would let the Light of Love supersede the images of the world. With the Light of Love, we recognize our brothers as one with us. In this oneness, we know we are safe in Love’s peace and uplifted by Love’s joy.

We Let Love Guide All Our Doing

We let God’s Thoughts fill our mind as we go through our day today… We let Love flow through us in every aspect of our lives… We let ourselves be carried on Love’s gentle wings… We step back and follow with Love leading the way…

As we let Love fill our minds and hearts, we are inspired in how to be truly helpful in each present moment…

We are so thankful for all the guidance we have as we go through our day today… All this comes to us as we are committed to letting Love guide all our doing.

Accepting Holy Spirit’s Gentle Dream of Awakening

You are the dreamer of the world of dreams. No other cause it has, nor ever will. Nothing more fearful than an idle dream has terrified God’s Son, and made him think that he has lost his innocence, denied his Father, and made war upon himself. So fearful is the dream, so seeming real, he could not waken to reality without the sweat of terror and a scream of mortal fear, unless a gentler dream preceded his awaking, and allowed his calmer mind to welcome, not to fear, the Voice that calls with love to waken him; a gentler dream, in which his suffering was healed and where his brother was his friend. God willed he waken gently and with joy, and gave him means to waken without fear.

Accept the dream He gave instead of yours. It is not difficult to change a dream when once the dreamer has been recognized. Rest in the Holy Spirit, and allow His gentle dreams to take the place of those you dreamed in terror and in fear of death. He brings forgiving dreams…

Dream softly of your sinless brother, who unites with you in holy innocence. And from this dream the Lord of Heaven will Himself awaken His beloved Son. (A Course in Miracles, T-27.VII.13:1-14:4;15:1-2. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

The Course tells us that we are the dreamer of the life we experience in the world of form. It also acknowledges that taking responsibility for this dream can be terrifying because it turns upside down all that we believe is real.

But we have been given a gift beyond measure that provides the means to shift from the dream of destruction and death to a happy dream. We have been given a Guide to lead us to this happy dream of forgiveness — the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness is the path to the happy dream of seeing only innocence.

We need only be vigilant to practice bringing all our thoughts of fear and guilt, all perceptions that seem to bring unhappiness and disturb our peace, to the Holy Spirit, with willingness to receive His loving correction. This moment by moment practice will lead us inevitability to the happy dream that sees our brothers’ innocence and our own. It opens the door to the recognition of the Love that is the Self we share with our brother. With this acceptance we stand joyfully at Heaven’s door where we awaken to the Love we are and that created us.

Today I Accept God’s Peace and Joy

My practice for today is to be open to the flow of God’s peace in my mind… I let peace lead me to be one with God’s Thoughts… I let peace lead me to my inherent inner happiness and joy… I let peace lead me to the feeling of inner contentment and fulfillment that naturally comes with accepting God’s gifts as mine…

I let the door be opened to the real world, the forgiven world… I rise above the struggle and pain to see the Love that is always really there… I am brought to the truth that the only thing that is real is Love… I rest in that remembering… Peace, happiness and joy are mine forever… They belong to everyone in truth… I am filled with gratitude as I accept God’s gifts of peace and joy today.
