In Quiet We Let Love Guide Our Doing

Today [your Father] speaks to you. His Voice awaits your silence, for His Word can not be heard until your mind is quiet for a while, and meaningless desires have been stilled. Await His Word in quiet. There is peace within you to be called upon today, to help make ready your most holy mind to hear the Voice for its Creator speak.

Only be quiet. You will need no rule but this, to let your practicing today lift you above the thinking of the world, and free your vision from the body’s eyes. Only be still and listen. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.125.6;9:1-3. See also ACIM Lesson 125 Insights.)

There is a center of peace within each of us that we can call upon to help us quiet our minds. It is always on call, ready to bring us to a state in which we can receive inspiration from the Voice for God, the Voice of our true Self. We are not chained to the chaos of the world. We need only call upon the peace within to help us rise above the thinking of the world.

When we welcome the peace within, the distractions of the world fade. The images the body’s eyes show us become less compelling and the vision of Christ within comes to the forefront. In peace we see the truth of the Love in our brothers and recognize It is also ours. Today we call upon the peace within to help us be still and let Love guide all our doing.

Letting This Be a Day of Healing

Father, today I would remember You. I would remember the truth. Opening my mind to Your healing Light ends my nightmares of separation. Opening my mind to Your healing Light ends my belief in all lack, sorrow and pain. I would quiet my mind today and let my thoughts be healed of all false ideas. Today I would give my mind to You.

I open to Your comfort and peace. I rest in Your healing Light. Today is a day of healing. Today is a day of letting go of the false world of separation. Today is a day of forgiveness. Forgiveness Shows Us the Real World

What need has such a mind [that has forgiven itself] for thoughts of death, attack and murder? What can it perceive surrounding it but safety, love and joy? What is there it would choose to be condemned, and what is there that it would judge against? The world it sees arises from a mind at peace within itself. No danger lurks in anything it sees, for it is kind, and only kindness does it look upon. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.8.3. See also ACIM Lesson 291 Insights.)

Belief in harm cannot coexist with recognition of our innocence. It is the belief that we could possibly harm anything that we need to forgive. Forgiveness cannot be justified in the world of separation because it is based on the belief that we have separated from the oneness of Love. When we let the Holy Spirit show us that only Love is real and that we are only Love, forgiveness is fully justified, for in Oneness, harm is impossible.

Holy Spirit, help me to see that only Love is real and that I am that Love. Help me to see that I share Love with all that Is, for nothing is outside the Love of God. With Your help I will see truly that there is nothing to forgive, for harm is impossible and never has occurred in truth. With Your help, I would see past the gossamer veil of illusions of separation to the joy and peace of unity in Love.

A Prayer for a Day of Inspiration

Holy Spirit, we ask for your inspiration today… We open our minds to Your healing Light… We are willing to let go of our belief in differences and specialness… We hand over these thoughts when they come up… We are willing to let Love heal all circumstances…

We are willing to let our false ideas be changed… We are willing to let all our fears be transformed by Love’s Presence… We are willing to return to Love’s oneness… We give thanks that You are here to inspire us in every situation we encounter today and every day.

Letting Our Holiness Heal Illusions

There is nothing my holiness cannot do. My holiness is unlimited in its power to heal, because it is unlimited in its power to save. What is there to be saved from except illusions? And what are all illusions except false ideas about myself? My holiness undoes them all by asserting the truth about me. In the presence of my holiness, which I share with God Himself, all idols vanish. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.58.3. See also ACIM Lesson 58 Insights.)

Our true Self is holy because it remains united with our Creator, the Source of holiness. Because of our unity with our Source, we share all Its power to undo illusions and reveal the truth of What we are. This means we are not trapped in the illusionary world of fear, guilt and pain. We need only look to the holiness within, our True Self, to be healed of the false ideas that have made it appear that we are separate, alone and lacking Love.

Today we focus our attention on the center of peace within, where our holiness abides. From this center of peace comes the true vision that sees the holiness in all our brothers and ourselves. This is how we let our holiness heal all things.

What Is Time for?

Holy Spirit, we give our time to You today. We are willing for You to direct all our doing — what to do, where to go, what to day and to whom. We desire only to be truly helpful and we would decide nothing on our own. We would let Your Love and peace lead us through this day and share it with all whom we meet or think of today. Thus will we teach and learn that we are Love and nothing else.

Letting Go of Specialness

You are alike to God as God is to Himself. He is not special, for He would not keep one part of what He is unto Himself, not given to His Son but kept for Him alone. And it is this you fear, for if He is not special, then He willed His Son to be like Him, and your brother is like you. Not special, but possessed of everything, including you. Give him but what he has, remembering God gave Himself to you and your brother in equal love, that both might share the universe with Him Who chose that love could never be divided, and kept separate from what it is and must forever be.” (A Course in Miracles, T-24.II.10:3-7). It is helpful to remember that every brother is God’s pure Love… It is helpful to remember that our special little kingdoms are nothing but illusions of specialness… We let our minds be healed as we open to the Holy Spirit’s way of seeing every brother — that he is still God’s pure Love as he was created, and not the vulnerable and different image he as made of himself…

As we are willing to see every brother as he truly is — being all of God’s Love — we are also brought to the healing awareness that we are all of God’s Love… That is why the Course tells us that every brother is our savior. As we see past specialness to the Christ in every brother, we are helped to see the Christ in ourselves and see that we are one.

With Holy Spirit’s help, we are able to see that our separate tiny kingdoms of uniqueness are nothing and nowhere. We are able to see that we “are alike to God as God is to Himself.” We are able to see that Love could never be divided, but all inclusive, possessed of all Love.
