Being Vigilant for Love

God — Love — is in our mind right now to receive and give. We dedicate today to opening to the Love we are and seeing that same Love in everyone… Today we are willing to see Love’s oneness… Today we are willing to recognize we are joined in Love with every brother we meet or even think of…

Today we practice giving God’s Love a chance to do Its healing work… We let our barriers to the awareness of Love’s presence be removed… Today and every day we dedicate to being vigilant to receive and extend only Love…

Letting Ourselves Be Taught to See Innocence

Guilt always brings unhappiness with it. When we perceive guilt in another or in ourselves, we cannot be happy. This is why forgiveness is the key to happiness. Because guilt is the glue that keeps the ego in place, the ego cannot show us how to forgive. The ego only knows how to see guilt.

But the Holy Spirit sees only innocence and is the Teacher of innocence. The path to happiness is the practice of bringing all our thoughts that are less than perfect peace and happiness to the Holy Spirit with willingness to be taught how to see past the false so that we may see the innocence of Love everywhere. Everyone wants Love. Everyone in truth wants to Love. The means to experience Love is simply to let ourselves be taught to see innocence everywhere. This is our dedication today.

We Dedicate Today to Love

We dedicate today to letting Love guide all our doing. Love is kind and we are willing to be kind. Love is helpful and we are willing to be helpful. Love is peaceful and we are willing to be at peace. Love is innocent and we are willing to see only innocence. Love does not condemn and we are willing to let go of judgment. We dedicate today to letting Love be.

Accepting the Constancy of Peace and Joy

…we ask to recognize what God has given us. We clear a holy place within our minds before His altar, where His gifts of peace and joy are welcome, and to which we come to find what has been given us by Him. We come in confidence today, aware that what belongs to us in truth is what He gives. And we would wish for nothing else, for nothing else belongs to us in truth.

So do we clear the way for Him today by simply recognizing that His Will is done already, and that joy and peace belong to us as His eternal gifts. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.104.4:1-4;5:1)

God has given us a limitless well of eternal peace and joy. We don’t experience His gift of peace and joy because we have covered it over with layers of illusions of a world of separation. It is like having a piece of property that is on a limitless oil reserve. Just as drilling down can reach the “riches” of oil, we can drill down below the surface appearances of illusions to the richest resource of all — God’s eternal gift of peace and joy.

The mechanism we have been given to pass through the illusions of separation is the Holy Spirit as our Guide to forgiveness. We accept God’s gifts through forgiveness. As we practice bringing all our perceptions, all our thoughts, to the Holy Spirit and asking for His interpretation throughout the day, we move closer to opening the limitless well of peace and joy within. God has a “gusher” of peace and joy waiting for us to accept it!

This Moment I Receive the Truth

To give and to receive are one in truth.
I will receive what I am giving now.

Then close your eyes, and for five minutes think of what you would hold out to everyone, to have it yours. You might, for instance, say:

To everyone I offer quietness.
To everyone I offer peace of mind.
To everyone I offer gentleness. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.108.8:2-8)

Today is another opportunity to become aware of everyone’s true Identity. We let our true Self be in charge of our mind… We relax and follow… We let Love extend through us… We focus on the Love that is the truth about everyone… Today we practice receiving the truth…

You Are Being Carried

Today our practice is to step back and let ourselves be carried by the guidance of the Holy Spirit… We soften… relax… and allow our thoughts to be filled with Light…

We are patient… and kind… with ourselves and others… We remember to live in the present moment… We remember we are the eternal Spirit of Love and extending Love is our one function…

We let go of the temptation to think that we already know what anything means… We are like little children following the loving direction of our inner Teacher… We let ourselves be carried all through the day today.

Accepting Jesus’ Strength

The ego’s way is not mine, but it is also not yours. The Holy Spirit has one direction for all minds, and the one He taught me is yours. Let us not lose sight of His direction through illusions, for only illusions of another direction can obscure the one for which God’s Voice speaks in all of us. Never accord the ego the power to interfere with the journey. It has none, because the journey is the way to what is true. Leave all illusions behind, and reach beyond all attempts of the ego to hold you back. I go before you because I am beyond the ego. Reach, therefore, for my hand because you want to transcend the ego. My strength will never be wanting, and if you choose to share it you will do so. I give it willingly and gladly, because I need you as much as you need me. (A Course in Miracles, T-8.V.6)

We have so much help to transcend the ego. Jesus is asking us to take his hand. He wants to share his strength with us because it is only in joining in our one true purpose that we reach the Kingdom of God together.

Jesus has one goal and that is to join with the whole Sonship in returning to the awareness of our oneness in God. This is our joy and our happiness. We indeed have all the help we need to leave illusions behind. Help is offered us every moment of every day.

Right now we open to his help… We accept his strength… We take his hand… We are willing to be led… We let go of the desire to decide on our own… We let go and let Jesus point out the way for us… And we give thanks for all the help we are willing to receive throughout the day.
