Being Willing to Choose Love

When we look upon a brother, what do we see? Do we see an adversary, a competitor, a threat to our safety, someone we hope will complete us? Or do we see a mighty Companion, joined with us in Love, reflecting our wholeness, our innocence, our invulnerability, back to us?

In both instances we are seeing reflected back to us what we believe about ourselves. The first instance is reflecting back a belief in a false image. The second is reflecting back to us the truth of our Creation and our eternal, changeless state as Love’s extension. In every moment we choose between these two ways of seeing.

Because we have learned the lessons of the false image of separation well, we have lost sight of what we are really choosing. Fortunately, we have help to show us the falsity of what we believe and have chosen. We have within our minds the Teacher Who will show us the real choice and help us lay aside the mistaken beliefs that have hidden the choice for Love.

Today we again practice walking with the Holy Spirit as our Guide and Teacher in each moment. We are willing to be taught to see the Love that lies beyond all appearance. We are willing to choose Love.
