God’s Love Supports Us

We walk to God. Pause and reflect on this. Could any way be holier, or more deserving of your effort, of your love and of your full intent?

Your feet are safely set upon the road that leads the world to God. Look not to ways that seem to lead you elsewhere. Dreams are not a worthy guide for you who are God’s Son. Forget not He has placed His Hand in yours, and given you your brothers in His trust that you are worthy of His trust in you. He cannot be deceived. His trust has made your pathway certain and your goal secure. You will not fail your brothers nor your Self. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 155, W-pI.155.12:1-3;13:1-7. We are never alone. Being extensions of God’s Love, we are eternally connected to our Source. Love walks with us wherever we go. As we turn our attention away from dreams of isolation to the Love that is our Source, we are guided on the path that leads us back to full awareness that we are safe in the arms of Love. Though we may dream of vulnerability and loss, our safety in God remains unchanged in truth.

Today we choose the truth of our eternal connection with God’s Love. It is our strength, our comfort and our joy. We choose to step back and let Love lead the way.

Letting God In

Today we practice opening our minds to God’s infinite Love, peace and joy… Today we give time for quiet listening… We give time for letting God’s Thoughts into our minds…

If we have any concerns or worries, we take them to God… We ask for the Light of Truth to shine all our fears away… We receive inspiration that is most helpful for healing now… As we let Love in, we let God in.

Let Peace Replace Every Upset

Reality is never frightening. It is impossible that it could upset me. Reality brings only perfect peace. When I am upset, it is always because I have replaced reality with illusions I made up. The illusions are upsetting because I have given them reality, and thus regard reality as an illusion. Nothing in God’s creation is affected in any way by this confusion of mine. I am always upset by nothing. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 52, W-pI.52.1:2-8. See also ACIM Lesson 52 Insights.)

Our practice for today is to pay attention to notice times when we become upset and lose our peace. Once we recognize we are not in peace, we can remember we are upset by nothing.

Instead of continuing to be upset, we can stop, take a deep breath and relax… We can open to the Help of our inner Teacher to receive a better way of looking at whatever is bothering us…… We can be open to letting peace in… and cleansing all the thoughts we held before… We can let peace replace every upset…

Remembering You Are at Home in God

The Thought God holds of you is perfectly unchanged by your forgetting. It will always be exactly as it was before the time when you forgot, and will be just the same when you remember. And it is the same within the interval when you forgot.

The Thoughts of God are far beyond all change, and shine forever. They await not birth. They wait for welcome and remembering. The Thought God holds of you is like a star, unchangeable in an eternal sky. So high in Heaven is it set that those outside of Heaven know not it is there. Yet still and white and lovely will it shine through all eternity. There was no time it was not there; no instant when its light grew dimmer or less perfect ever was. Imagine being in a place where you feel perfectly safe… You are surrounded by joyful peace… Your heart is overflowing with Love, which you freely share in gratitude… All that you see is dearly loved and loving… There is no conflict here… Only a joyful joining in the Love of God…

The extent to which you are able to imagine this is but a tiny taste of the experience of your Home and your Creator. This is your Reality. Welcome It with gratitude… It is already given you and is eternally yours.

Forgive the world for the seeming barriers that hide this awareness from you. In truth there is no barrier. As you lay the barriers down, Love’s blessing flows through you and you remember You are at Home.

Seeing the World Through Holy Spirit’s Eyes

The real world is a symbol, like the rest of what perception offers. Yet it stands for what is opposite to what you made. Your world is seen through eyes of fear, and brings the witnesses of terror to your mind. The real world cannot be perceived except through eyes forgiveness blesses, so they see a world where terror is impossible, and witnesses to fear can not be found.

The real world holds a counterpart for each unhappy thought reflected in your world; a sure correction for the sights of fear and sounds of battle which your world contains. The real world shows a world seen differently, through quiet eyes and with a mind at peace. Nothing but rest is there. There are no cries of pain and sorrow heard, for nothing there remains outside forgiveness. And the sights are gentle. Today we practice stepping back and seeing the world through Holy Spirit’s eyes. The Holy Spirit helps us see the world differently. With Holy Spirit we are able to see past bodies, past separate forms, to see the simple, uncomplicated Love that is always there.

Complexity and problems are of the ego. We do not have to believe it. As we are willing, we can be carried past the stories of the world to the constant and changeless awareness of Love’s presence, where peace and happiness abide. All this comes to us today as we step back and see the world through Holy Spirit’s eyes. We are so grateful for this help.

The Truth About You

Salvation requires the acceptance of but one thought;—you are as God created you, not what you made of yourself. Whatever evil you may think you did, you are as God created you. Whatever mistakes you made, the truth about you is unchanged. Creation is eternal and unalterable. Your sinlessness is guaranteed by God. You are and will forever be exactly as you were created. Light and joy and peace abide in you because God put them there.

Try not to interfere with the Self which God created as you, by hiding Its majesty behind the tiny idols of evil and sinfulness you have made to replace It. Let It come into Its Own. Here you are; This is You. And light and joy and peace abide in you because this is so. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 93, W-pI.93.7;9:5-8. See also ACIM Lesson 93 Insights.)

The truth about you and everyone is so glorious that as we learn to accept it, happiness replaces doubt and fear, lack and loss of any kind. Accepting that we are still as God created us is at the core of our awakening.

As we are willing to accept the truth about ourselves and everyone, the ego’s thoughts of separation disappear. As our willingness and vigilance to remember the truth grows stronger, we are able to become aware of the strength of God in us.

In truth Love is the only Power. Accepting Love and extending Love becomes our highest priority. It is our only function. We learn to trust the power of Love in every situation instead of accepting the ego’s faulty ideas that stem from our belief that we succeeded in separating from God and being different than God.

Today we practice reinforcing what is eternally true about us — Light and peace and joy abide in us because it is the essence of what we are.

Seeing Past Separate Forms to Love’s Oneness

I thank You, Father, knowing You will come to close each little gap that lies between the broken pieces of Your holy Son. Your Holiness, complete and perfect, lies in every one of them. And they are joined because what is in one is in them all. How holy is the smallest grain of sand, when it is recognized as being part of the completed picture of God’s Son! The forms the broken pieces seem to take mean nothing. For the whole is in each one. And every aspect of the Son of God is just the same as every other part.

Join not your brother’s dreams but join with him, and where you join His Son the Father is. Who seeks for substitutes when he perceives he has lost nothing? Who would want to have the “benefits” of sickness when he has received the simple happiness of health? What God has given cannot be a loss, and what is not of Him has no effects. What, then, would you perceive within the gap? The seeds of sickness come from the belief that there is joy in separation, and its giving up would be a sacrifice. But miracles are the result when you do not insist on seeing in the gap what is not there. Your willingness to let illusions go is all the Healer of God’s Son requires. He will place the miracle of healing where the seeds of sickness were. And there will be no loss, but only gain. (A Course in Miracles, T-28.IV.9-10. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

As we forgive our dream of separation, we are able to become aware of the Love that lies beyond it. We recognize that separate forms are just a barrier to the awareness of Love’s Presence. We are so grateful that separation could never be. We are able to see the innocence that lies behind the ego’s perception of guilt. Today our practice is to let the Holy Spirit close the little gap and see every brother’s holiness. This is the happy dream that comes from the Holy Spirit, which we accept today.
