We Give This Day to God

“I rest in God.” This thought will bring to you the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and the happiness you seek.

In Him you have no cares and no concerns, no burdens, no anxiety, no pain, no fear of future and no past regrets. In timelessness you rest, while time goes by without its touch upon you, for your rest can never change in any way at all. You rest today. And as you close your eyes, sink into stillness. Let these periods of rest and respite reassure your mind that all its frantic fantasies were but the dreams of fever that has passed away. Let [your mind] be still and thankfully accept its healing. No more fearful dreams will come, now that you rest in God. Take time today to slip away from dreams and into peace. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.109.2:1-2;5)

We let ourselves be carried in God today… We open our minds to Inner Direction… We open to inner Inspiration… We let today be very simple… We make no decisions on our own…

As we give our busy mind a rest and remember the truth that we rest in God, we feel the peace, joy and happiness that come… We feel confident and certain that only good will come to us as we follow Holy Spirit’s lead… We rest in God. We give this day to God.

Remembering Who We Really Are

Above all else, you want the freedom to remember Who you really are. Today it is the ego that stands powerless before your will. Your will is free, and nothing can prevail against it.

…tell yourself with gentle firmness and quiet certainty:
I will there be light. Let me behold the light that reflects God’s Will and mine.

Then let your [true] will assert itself, joined with the power of God and united with your Self. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.73.7:5-7;10:1-4)

We are learning that God’s Will is our will. God’s Will for us is that we are one with Him. We are one with perfect peace… perfect Love… perfect happiness… In God’s Will, all our needs are met. There is no loss.

Today we practice opening to the Light of Truth. Today we practice opening our minds to the Light of our true Self and letting It guide our way with every situation. We are brought to the remembrance of Who really are. And for all of this help from our true Self, we give thanks.

Choosing Happiness

Judgment is a defense against happiness. It keeps us locked into the belief in being separate and alone. Happiness can be found only in the acceptance of our oneness in the Love of God. In truth there is nothing outside of Love. Because Love does not condemn, when we judge, we deny Love.

We choose to be happy today by practicing turning over all our judgments to the Holy Spirit, letting Him judge all things on our behalf. The Holy Spirit’s judgment is very simple. He sees all situations in the world as either Love or a call for Love. The natural response to both is to extend Love. So when we let the Holy Spirit judge all things on our behalf, we will be Love’s reflection in the world. This is our choice today.

Love Created You as Love

Today our practice is to recognize that we are pure Love, united with God and every brother… We are not a body, separate and alone. We are not weak, vulnerable or guilty. We are eternal Love, united with the Love in every brother…

We practice remembering this truth today as much as possible. We are willing to remember we are connected with Love as Love all the time, in every situation… If our mind wanders, we return back to the Truth again… again… and again. We let today be a day of mind healing, letting the Love in our mind shine through us, lighting our world. As we remember the Truth, we feel so blessed and extend blessings throughout the day.

Inner Guidance Is Always There

No matter what situation we are in, we have Inner Guidance. If we want to receive the benefits that come with following God’s Plan for us, we must be wiling to be receptive and follow His guidance. This guidance will return us Home to our true Nature in the Heart of God.

Today our practice is to step back frequently and let the Holy Spirit give us the blessing of corrected perception, of right mindedness. We are willing to follow His direction.

The truth is we are eternally one in the Mind of God. We are eternally the pure Spirit of Love, no matter what seems to show up in our dream of separation. The Holy Spirit will bring us to the Truth whenever we are willing to listen and follow. The Holy Spirit will return us to happiness, peace and joy as we consistently are willing to let Him be in charge of our life.

Making Way for Happiness

Judgment always makes us unhappy. It can only seem possible when we believe there is something separate from us. Judgment is impossible in oneness. Love created us perfectly happy in perfect oneness. If we want to experience the perfect happiness of our true Nature, we must turn over all judgment to the Holy Spirit, Who knows how to judge truly.

The fundamental principal of awakening that we must understand and apply to all things in the world is that we do not know what anything means. As we accept and apply this, moment by moment, we open our minds to the true meaning offered us by the Holy Spirit. We become open minded to let our judgment be replaced by His. As we do this, the Holy Spirit shows us the Light of Love that is behind all appearances. This Light shines away the shadows of separation and reveals the unity we have with All That Is.

Today is another wonderful opportunity to let our minds be healed by turning over all judgment to the Holy Spirit with willingness to receive His in place of ours. This is the journey of awakening. It is the journey to perfect happiness. It is worth the vigilance to pay attention to our thoughts and be willing to be shown the way of Love.

Returning to Awareness of Oneness

Behold the Guide your Father gave you, that you might learn you have eternal life.… Your inheritance can neither be bought nor sold. There can be no disinherited parts of the Sonship, for God is whole and all His extensions are like Him.

The Atonement is not the price of your wholeness, but it is the price of your awareness of your wholeness.… Yet you must invest in [the Atonement], not with money but with spirit. For spirit is will, and will is the “price” of the Kingdom. Your inheritance awaits only the recognition that you have been redeemed. The Holy Spirit guides you into life eternal, but you must relinquish your investment in death, or you will not see life though it is all around you. (A Course in Miracles, T-12.IV.6:1,7-8;7:1,3-6)

Returning to the awareness of oneness requires the relinquishment of our investment in separation from God and our investment in death. We return to our awareness of oneness as we let go of our false ideas of separation.

In oneness there are no bodies; there are no differences. There is no time and space. It is only our inner Guide That can return us to the awareness that we are still one in the Mind of God. We are whole, perfect and complete because we are one with all Love. In truth we are not born into a separate body in a world of separate forms.

We are eternal spirit and our real life is changeless and eternal. All our needs are met because we are eternally complete in God. We are united in the one Spirit of Love. We cannot disinherit ourselves from our real Life, but we can make ourselves unaware of It.

We now open to the Holy Spirit within, Who gently guides us back to awareness of our eternal Home in God. With Holy Spirit, we see past the ego’s illusions to the Truth that we remain as God created us — one perfect Love, eternally.
