What Is Our Real Life?

Our real Life is the Life we live in God, the Life we live in Love. The Course tells us, “God is but Love and therefore so am I.” We all are joined in the one Love, the one Life of God, whether we realize it or not.

Today it is our opportunity to return to our real Life… Today it is our opportunity to be one with the Love we are eternally… Today we join with our real Life and see that It is extended to everyone eternally… We see that we are joining with what already Is… We are recognizing what our real Life is…

We join with our real Life by being willing to pause and welcome peace in our minds… In peace, Love flows freely and is expressed through us in all our doing… Our real Life is lived in peace. Peace just flows naturally as we return to the Love, the Life, we all are.

Seeing the Same Light Everywhere

The ego focuses on seeing differences to reinforce separation. The Holy Spirit sees the same Light, the same Love, everywhere, showing us our oneness. In this way we move past fear thoughts to the safety and peace of our loving Source. We are one Light. There are no differences between us. We are one Love; there is no distance between us.

Today our practice is to let the Holy Spirit show us the same Light in everyone, giving them their full due. This practice brings us Home to the truth and helps us be aware of Love’s Presence everywhere. It brings us the joy that is our birthright.

Vigilance for Peace Brings Fulfillment and Joy

Today appears to be a busy day with many details to pay attention to. This means we need to be especially vigilant for peace. We need to frequently step back from doing, and pause to let the Holy Spirit inspire us in the moment for what to do and say. Beyond our scope of planning, the Holy Spirit knows all that is needed and what will be truly helpful in each moment.

By paying attention to Him as our Guide, we will be led in peace to being truly helpful and it will be a day of fulfillment and joy. It will be a day that leads us to a greater awareness of Love’s eternal presence.

Remembering Our Father’s Love

Forgive us our illusions, Father, and help us to accept our true relationship with You, in which there are no illusions, and where none can ever enter. Our holiness is Yours. What can there be in us that needs forgiveness when Yours is perfect? The sleep of forgetfulness is only the unwillingness to remember Your forgiveness and Your Love. Let us not wander into temptation, for the temptation of the Son of God is not Your Will. And let us receive only what You have given, and accept but this into the minds which You created and which You love. Amen. (A Course in Miracles, T-16.VII.12)

Our practice for today is to be willing to open our minds to the Love of our Father and let It extend through us. We practice, hour by hour, letting our Father’s Love fill our hearts and minds. We are willing to rest in our Father’s Love and be inspired in how to be truly helpful. Our Father’s Love is all we truly need. Our Father’s Love is always there for us to receive and extend to everyone.

Respond to Lack of Love with Love

When you perceive a brother as suffering, remember he represents your belief that pain and suffering are possible. Beneath this belief is the belief that it is possible to lack Love. Since only Love is real, lack of Love is impossible. But the belief in lack makes it seem as though you experience lack of Love.

The Holy Spirit has one answer for this. He offers you the Love you perceive as lacking. Being your Link with God, the Holy Spirit is eternally, unceasingly, extending Love to you. With your willingness, the Holy Spirit will help you respond to a perceived lack in your brother, a perception of pain or suffering, with Love. As you let Him respond through you with Love, you will learn that you do not lack Love. You will experience Love’s blessing as It extends through you.

Today our practice is to take each perception of pain, sadness, sickness, fear or guilt to the Holy Spirit with willingness to let Him shine the Light of Love upon it. As we accept the Light of Love and extend It to our brother, the perception of lack is healed and we remember that we remain Love as Love created us.

Let Love Heal All Things

With every concern, doubt, and every thought of being vulnerable and alone, willingly take it to Love. Love knows what to do with it. Let Love give you the answer that heals and blesses. Let Love remove all fear from your mind. Let Love guide the way to freedom. Let Love bring your worried mind to rest.

This healing Source of Love resides right in your mind, waiting to bring you true and lasting happiness. Today is the day to practice opening up to the Love that is always right there. In truth you live in Love, because your true Life is Love. Your true Life is one with the Life of God, the Life of Love.

We are now returning to our real Life. Today we practice receiving Love and extending the Love that we are. Today we practice letting Love heal all things.

Letting Our Minds Be Purified

Ego thoughts, which always see something other than Love, clog up and darken the clear free-flowing Mind of Love. Today we practice watching our thoughts… If the thought is not of Love, we hand it over to the Holy Spirit for purification…

We allow the Holy Spirit to show us the Light behind every form of separation we see in this world… We allow the Holy Spirit to help us see the world differently… We willingly let our minds be purified today… The Light of Love is all we really want to see, and we give thanks that it is already so.
