Accepting Love in the Present Moment

Today is another opportunity to accept Love where Love is eternally. Love is everywhere. I will see it if I am willing. When I let Holy Spirit guide my seeing, I see the Love beyond the image of a server in a restaurant. I see the Love beyond the storekeeper or a customer service representative.

Everyone that appears in form is recognized as the Love that is beyond the form. Each one feels like my dear Friend. Each one represents the Love that is in me and that I am — that we all are. In truth, that is all there is to see right now.

This will be a happy day indeed as I am willing to let the Holy Spirit show me the Love that is present now.

We Are Held in God’s Love

Today is a day to let go and let God. We do this through quiet listening and being willing to receive Holy Spirit’s inspiration, moment by moment. We remember that God is with us throughout the day, and we would not decide anything on our own. We relax and let go. We hand over all judgments and fears, and put them in God’s Hands. He knows what to do with them. We let ourselves be held in God’s loving care today. And we give thanks for all the blessings we receive all through the day.

Awareness of Our True Self Right Now

In every moment, God is present. Our one true Self is waiting to be acknowledged. We are dreaming a dream and we have forgotten that it is not real. We have forgotten that everything we see through the body’s eyes is just an hallucination. We have forgotten that only Love’s oneness is real. We have forgotten that we are united only with Love’s oneness.

Today our opportunity is to let the awareness of our true Identity return. Our true Identity is in our minds, ready to help us remember the truth because it sees that we feel separate, alone and afraid. Our true Identity sees that belief in illusions brings a sense of loss and vulnerability with it. Right now we have the opportunity to let awareness of the truth return to our minds. As we remember our true Identity, we are aware of Love’s presence right now.

Accepting Our One Self

The strength in you will offer you the light, and guide your seeing so you do not dwell on idle shadows that the body’s eyes provide for self-deception. Strength and light unite in you, and where they meet, your Self stands ready to embrace you as Its Own. Such is the meeting place we try today to find and rest in, for the peace of God is where your Self, His Son, is waiting now to meet Itself again, and be as One. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.92.9)

If we want to remember our true Self, we have to be willing to step back from the frenzy and conflict of the world of separation. Our Self is in peace, being the extension of God’s peace. Peace is the condition in which we remember our Self.

Peace cannot be found in unforgiveness. This is why the moment-by-moment practice of bringing all our thoughts to the Holy Spirit with willingness to be shown the Love and innocence He sees is how we come to know our Self. Our Self is God’s creation and knows only Love and innocence.

As we let the Holy Spirit’s Light shine through the images we see in the world, we learn to recognize the truth beyond the images. We see the true Self in our brothers that is also our Self. Our practice today is to be vigilant for peace so that we may see and accept our Self, with Holy Spirit’s help.

Making Way for Peace

Today let peace wash through you… Practice giving time throughout the day to let peace wash through your mind… Let yourself melt into the awareness that you are in a sea of peace… Let Holy Spirit’s gift of peace clear away all the cobwebs of ego thoughts that block awareness of Love’s Presence…

In truth, we all are in Heaven now. By frequently allowing time to accept peace, we make way to receive clear direction from the Voice for God. We are here to be truly helpful and we are most helpful when we are consistently open to receiving Holy Spirit’s gift of peace. Peace brings clarity and inspiration with it.

Learning to See Truly

Our practice for today is to see past every separate image to the Light of truth that lies beyond the image. Our practice for today is to recognize every separated image as a barrier to witnessing the Love that is really there. We need to let our inner Teacher show us what lies behind every separated image.

As we allow the Holy Spirit to transform our thoughts, we find our true Identity and the true Identity of every brother. Here is the source of our happiness. Here is the source of our eternal peace and joy. Today is an important day of practice in letting our minds be healed of all belief in separation.

To see past images of separation, we need to redirect our attention from what the body’s eyes show us to Holy Spirit’s vision. The body’s eyes cannot show us the Son of God, but only a false image that hides the truth of our brothers from our awareness. We are so accustomed to relying on the body’s eyes that it takes great vigilance to redirect our attention to the means for seeing truly.

We are not asked to deny that the body’s eyes see images of other bodies and things in the world. But we are asked to withdraw any value we give those images and place all value in what we see through the vision of Christ, the Holy Spirit’s gift. It is this shift in value that brings us healing from the belief in separation.

Seeing the Love in Every Brother

Beside you is one who offers you the chalice of Atonement, for the Holy Spirit is in him. Would you hold his sins against him, or accept his gift to you? Is this giver of salvation your friend or enemy? Choose which he is, remembering that you will receive of him according to your choice. He has in him the power to forgive your sin, as you for him. Neither can give it to himself alone. And yet your savior stands beside each one. Let him be what he is, and seek not to make of love an enemy.

Behold your Friend, the Christ Who stands beside you. How holy and how beautiful He is!” (A Course in Miracles T-19.IV.D.13:1-8;14:1-2)

In every moment we are choosing between seeing our brother as an enemy or a friend. If we are seeing him as a body, we are seeing him as an enemy because we are seeing him as separate from us. To see our brother truly as a Friend, we must disregard what the body’s eyes see and let the inner vision of Christ come forward.

It is this inner vision that recognizes our brother as our savior. This inner vision sees only innocence, because it knows only innocence. This inner vision is the vision of our true Self. Each time we lay judgment aside, we allow the vision of Love within to take its natural place in our awareness.
