Sharing Holy Spirit’s Vision

Nothing in the world can bring us the exquisite joy that is in God’s Love. God’s Love is already given us. But we don’t experience it when we seek for satisfaction or happiness in anything in the world. To make way to fully receive God’s gift, we need only be willing to withdraw all value we give to the world. The ego warns us that this would be a big sacrifice. But the truth is we give up nothing to receive everything that is real.

Our practice today is to bring all our thoughts about anything in the world to the Holy Spirit so that He may show us what He sees in them. As we share His vision, the form loses value and the true content of eternal Love shines through. With this perspective, our doing in the world becomes an extension of Love. And by this extension, we receive and give God’s perfect happiness.

Accepting God’s Gift of Peace

This is the day of peace. You rest in God, and while the world is torn by winds of hate your rest remains completely undisturbed. Yours is the rest of truth. Appearances cannot intrude on you. You call to all to join you in your rest, and they will hear and come to you because you rest in God. They will not hear another voice than yours because you gave your voice to God, and now you rest in Him and let Him speak through you. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.109.4)

As we open to God’s peace today, all the concerns of the world are lifted away. We remember we are in God and of God. He is our safety and our strength. We see that nothing really matters except returning to the truth that we are still as God created us. We remain safe as Love in the mind of Love. Image making has not changed What we are and Where we are. In truth we rest in God eternally.

All we really want is the peace of God. Since we have already been given God’s peace, all we really want is to clear away the barriers that interfere with accepting His gift. The Holy Spirit is God’s Answer, placed in our minds to help us do this clearing so that we can recognize that in truth we do rest in God.

God’s Peace Is Ours to Receive and Give

Peace will be yours because His peace still flows to you from Him Whose Will is peace. You have it now. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to use it, and by extending it, to learn that it is in you.

Learn that even the darkest nightmare that disturbs the mind of God’s sleeping Son holds no power over him. He will learn the lesson of awaking. God watches over him and light surrounds him. (A Course in Miracles T-13.XI.8:3-6;9:5-7)

It is helpful to develop the habit of responding to every fear thought by extending peace to it. When we remember to extend peace, we learn that peace is in us. Accepting the deep peace of God opens the communication link that helps us remember our Home in Heaven. As we extend the peace we receive, we join with the peace in every mind and remember our oneness.

The truth is we are all immersed in God’s ocean of peace. Peace heals our darkest nightmares as we practice letting peace in and extending it to the Sonship. Knowing God’s peace is God’s Will for us and returns us to the awareness of Heaven.

Bringing Awareness of Oneness to All Minds

You are one Self, united and secure in light and joy and peace. You are God’s Son, one Self, with one Creator and one goal; to bring awareness of this oneness to all minds, that true creation may extend the allness and the unity of God. You are one Self, complete and healed and whole, with power to lift the veil of darkness from the world, and let the light in you come through to teach the world the truth about yourself. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.95.12)

The truth is we are all the same Spirit of Love, and this can never change. Our prayer today is to welcome awareness of the truth and extend it to all equally. This healing practice brings peace of mind because it releases all conflict. It is impossible to be in conflict within our one Self. It is the unity of the one Self we share that we would recognize today.

Giving Our Thoughts to God

Father, I give You all my thoughts today. I would have none of mine. In place of them, give me Your Own. I give You all my acts as well, that I may do Your Will instead of seeking goals which cannot be obtained, and wasting time in vain imaginings. Today I come to You. I will step back and merely follow You. Be You the Guide, and I the follower who questions not the wisdom of the Infinite, nor Love whose tenderness I cannot comprehend, but which is yet Your perfect gift to me. (A Course in Miracles W-pII.233.1)

This prayer is very comforting. To say it and mean it is to have complete release from trying to make and control the world around us. Releasing all our own thoughts that exclude God is how we make way for the recognition that we are in Heaven now. There is no other place we could ever be.

Our practice today is to give all our thoughts to our loving Father. He welcomes them and knows what to do with them. And in return, He gives us His only eternal Thought of Love. This one Thought answers every need we think we have. It returns us to the Truth we are. And we give thanks.

Remembering the Eternal Present

Love is in us all eternally, for Love is What we all are. Our one real need is to return to this awareness of Love’s eternal presence. In this awareness we see that giving and receiving are the same. Here we know that as we extend Love, we are receiving Love. Here are Holy Spirit’s gifts of peace and inner joy received.

Today’s practice is dedicated to following Holy Spirit’s lead in accepting and extending our one true Identity as Love. Letting go of our own agenda and following, minute by minute, is how we return Home and remember that every brother is eternally at Home in God with us. Heaven is now. This practice redirects our attention from the past to the eternal present. It is here that we remember our true Identity.

Letting How We See Everything Be Corrected

How can you tell when you are seeing wrong, or someone else is failing to perceive the lesson he should learn? Does pain seem real in the perception? If it does, be sure the lesson is not learned. And there remains an unforgiveness hiding in the mind that sees the pain through eyes the mind directs.

…let us think about all things we saved to settle by ourselves, and kept apart from healing. Let us give them all to Him Who knows the way to look upon them so that they will disappear.

This is the lesson God would have you learn: There is a way to look on everything that lets it be to you another step to Him, and to salvation of the world. To all that speaks of terror, answer thus:

I will forgive, and this will disappear.

To every apprehension, every care and every form of suffering, repeat these selfsame words. And then you hold the key that opens Heaven’s gate, and brings the Love of God the Father down to earth at last, to raise it up to Heaven. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.193.7:1-4;11:4-5;13:1-5)

Pain and fear are not natural. They are simply the effects of hanging on to a false image of ourselves. The joy of Heaven is available to us in every moment. We simply need to be willing to turn over our false ideas about what we are and what everyone is to the Holy Spirit. When we are willing, He will show us how to see beyond the false image, the false belief, to the truth.

Pain and fear become valuable signals that show us where there is a need to turn over our perception for His loving correction. We can experience peace and happiness in our lives. We need only be willing to turn every disturbance over to the Holy Spirit for Him to help us forgive and the disturbing perception will disappear.

Today we will be mindful of the signals that show us the need for forgiveness and bring them to the Holy Spirit to help us see truly.
