Finding Peace

Father, I come to You today to seek the peace that You alone can give. I come in silence. In the quiet of my heart, the deep recesses of my mind, I wait and listen for Your Voice. My Father, speak to me today. I come to hear Your Voice in silence and in certainty and love, sure You will hear my call and answer me. (A Course in Miracles W-pII.221.1)

In this chaotic world, everyone is searching for peace. We already have and are peace, but we don’t realize it because we believe in a false image of what we are. The quest for specialness denies the oneness of Love and so we do not experience Love’s peace and innocence as what we are. It is time for a new quest. This quest needs a different Guide That will lead us to the place where we will remember our real Identity. There we will find the peace we seek.

This quest requires just one thing of us: The willingness to loose the world from all we thought it was. The strength of God supports us in this quest. All that is asked of us is that we be willing to turn over all our thoughts about the world to our Guide. He will dust away the debris of meaningless images and show us the Light we are. He will bring us to the peace of that ever present Light and we will remember that we remain at Home in the Heart of peace.

Our practice today is to offer all our thoughts to our inner Guide to let them be cleansed of all interferences that have hid the Light of the world from our awareness.
