Following God’s Plan for Happiness

God’s plan for salvation works simply because, by following His direction, you seek for salvation where it is. But if you are to succeed, as God promises you will, you must be willing to seek there only.

Ask Him very specifically:

What would You have me do?
Where would You have me go?
What would You have me say, and to whom? (A Course in Miracles W-pI.71.5:1-2;9:2-5)

This lesson reminds us to pause frequently to pay attention to our inner Teacher, Who knows the way to true and everlasting happiness. Pausing frequently puts out the welcome mat for the Holy Spirit to be heard. It brings us into alignment with the Love, peace and joy of our true Identity as Love and nothing else.

Letting our inner Teacher guide us in what to do, where to go, what to say and to whom is the fast track to happiness and peace. No other way will really work. Making plans of our own for what we think will bring us happiness only delays the experience of God’s limitless joy, His gift to us, His Son. Today’s practice is to remind ourselves to ask these three important questions frequently throughout the day.
