Return to Truth. Return to Joy.

Robert:
Today we read A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 135 where it tells us that we have no idea the happiness we would experience if we simply accepted God’s plan for us. It reminded me of another lesson which says that God’s Will for us is perfect happiness. So when I attempt to plan on my own, I am denying God’s plan and actually defending against my happiness. That’s the opposite of what the ego would have me believe.

When I look at how I experience a typical day, I see that I attempt to do a lot of planning on my own. Thanks to practicing Course principles, I am happier than I have ever been. Yet when I recognize how much I still attempt to plan on my own, I see that I still limit the happiness I allow myself to experience. I’ve only gotten a tiny taste of the joy Love offers me in every moment.

Though part of me obviously resists, I really do want the joy that is my inheritance. It’s all I really want. And so today I will practice once again being vigilant for Love by being mindful of my state of peace and stepping back whenever I recognize my peace is disturbed in any way. Today is an opportunity to take a giant stride toward perfect happiness.

Mary:
As I go into a place of quiet and listen, I am reminded that in truth we are all in Heaven now. We are all in God’s perfect Light. We are all still in the Mind of God and nowhere else. We have not changed one thing in our wild imaginings. We are all safe and remain as God created us. Remembering this and feeling this brings me to a deep sense of peace and well being. In truth, all is well. There is nothing to fear. The whole ego thought system of individuality in truth is nothing and nowhere.

I am seeing how important it is to stop frequently throughout the day and let my mind return to the truth of our oneness in God. I have great gratitude that what is eternally true can never change. Dreaming of being on a distant shore, apart and separate, does nothing in reality. Love is. God is. Anything “else” is merely illusions and could never be real. My only prayer today is that I let my mind be returned to the truth through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Make Way for Love’s Extension

Robert:
My prayer for today: May all my thoughts, words and actions today reflect God’s Love. If fear or guilt arise in any form, I would release them to the Holy Spirit to be cleansed and make way for Love’s extension. This is my purpose and my goal today. Amen.

Mary:
Today I would practice remembering that peace is my one goal, my purpose for living here. Today I will practice remembering to choose peace, which opens the door to hearing the Holy Spirit and following the Holy Spirit’s lead.

Holy Spirit’s Way to a Happy Easter

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Today is a day set aside to celebrate resurrection. Remember that the body is an illusion, so resurrection of the body is meaningless. But resurrection of your memory of your Self is everything because it is the return to the life you have in God. There is no other life.

Without belief in separation, there would be no need for resurrection. But belief in separation is belief in death and so resurrection is needed to return your awareness to the Life that is yours. Let today be a joyous celebration that you have never left your Home in Life, in God. Let this celebration be all inclusive, leaving no one out, for all are one with you in the Life God shares with you.

Happy awakening! Happy Easter!

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Celebrate this day be letting the Christ mind return to your awareness. Allow the resurrection of the truth in you, the Light of God you are.

You do this by being willing to let go of the false self image that you once believed in. As you let this false image fall away, you make room for the resurrection of your true Self. This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit, your inner Teacher, as you are willing to let go of control and follow your inner Teacher’s lead. Celebrate Easter the Holy Spirit’s way. Let the Holy Spirit bring you to your resurrection. Let the truth about What you are and Where you are return to your holy mind.

Step Back and Let Your Mind Quiet

Holy Spirit to Robert:
If you want the peace of God, you must let go of trying to understand and organize fragments of the world you perceive. Reality is one and cannot be understood by looking at parts perceived as separate. That is why making plans on your own only serves to reinforce your sense of being separate. Making plans on your own is an attempt to organize separate images, separate thoughts, separate events and circumstances into a picture you believe will content you. But only the recognition of your oneness with Love will bring you happiness.

Step aside from all your planning and organizing and analyzing. This only serves to reinforce your sense of being alone. Hand over all these thoughts to Me. I will wash them clean of falsity and return them to you with a plan that leads you to a full recognition of your oneness with your Source. My only purpose is to return you to the happiness God wills for you. Step back and let Me lead the way.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Let your mind quiet today. Let your mind be still. Let your mind be aware of Love’s Presence. This is your practice today.

Enjoy Today

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Enjoy today… Enjoy today in Me… In Me you will be in joy. In Me you will be in peace. We are one, you and I… And you are learning to recognize that this is so.

Re-member Me today… Remember we are joined as one… Be quiet… Listen… and receive the gifts we share as one…

You will remember this world is not your home… You will remember to extend the peace you are… You will remember to see the truth in everyone you think of… With Me, you will remember oneness…

Herein lies your everlasting joy. Enjoy today.

Holy Spirit to Robert:
All you need to do to be happy is to let Love lead the way. Love and happiness are inseparable. Love knows It is complete and Its joy is in giving Itself. Because Love is complete, the possibility of loss is inconceivable to It.

As you go through your day today, let every action, every thought and every word serve Love and your joy will be complete.

Return to My Self

Mary:
Am I willing to return to my Self today? Am I willing to remember that I am formless Love? Am I willing to see every brother as formless Love?

How willing am I to return to the truth today? If I am willing, I will be aware of the infinite happiness that I am and that is always mine. If I forget, I will get lost in worry and try to solve problem after problem, which will never end in the ego mind.

My job today is to be aware of my willingness to allow truth to return to my mind. My job today is to let go and let God.

Robert:
Today we read in A Course in Miracles that there are no choices of forms in the world that lead anywhere because all forms are illusions. The purpose of the Course is to teach us to recognize illusions for what they are and that they are all the same. The Course also tells us that God’s Will for us is perfect happiness. If I am not experiencing perfect happiness, I am denying God’s Will and have chosen an illusion in Its place.

Today is another opportunity to practice letting Holy Spirit guide all my seeing to recognize illusions for what they are. It is not difficult to forgive when the perceived hurt as recognized as an illusion. When it is recognized that nothing really happened, the perception of hurt disappears. This is why it is essential that I welcome Holy Spirit’s teaching that will help me distinguish illusion from Reality. As that lesson is learned, forgiveness expands and I return to the happiness God wills for me.

Happiness and Love Are Inseparable

Robert:
If I want to be happy, there is only one thing to do: Forgive, let go of the past. Happiness and Love are inseparable. Happiness cannot be experienced where Love is denied. But when barriers to Love are removed, there is happiness.

I am grateful that A Course in Miracles provides comprehensive training in forgiveness. I want to be happy and so I dedicate this day to the practice of sharing each moment with the Holy Spirit that I may see as He sees, free of the past with full attention on now.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Give time to resting in the truth today. Let your mind quiet and hold My Hand. Let your busy mind relax a while. This opens the window to My healing Light. What I show you transforms what you see. You will see only innocence, which shows you your innocence.

“The sight of Christ is all there is to see. The song of Christ is all there is to hear. The hand of Christ is all there is to hold. There is no journey but to walk with Him.” This is your mission now.
