Letting Holy Spirit Solve All Problems

The sight of innocence makes punishment impossible, and justice sure. The Holy Spirit’s perception leaves no ground for an attack.

Salvation cannot seek to help God’s Son be more unfair than he has sought to be. If miracles, the Holy Spirit’s gift, were given specially to an elect and special group, and kept apart from others as less deserving, then is He ally to specialness. What He cannot perceive He bears no witness to. And everyone is equally entitled to His gift of healing and deliverance and peace. To give a problem to the Holy Spirit to solve for you means that you want it solved. To keep it for yourself to solve without His help is to decide it should remain unsettled, unresolved, and lasting in its power of injustice and attack. No one can be unjust to you, unless you have decided first to be unjust.

The unforgiven have no mercy to bestow upon another. That is why your sole responsibility must be to take forgiveness for yourself.

The miracle that you receive, you give. Each one becomes an illustration of the law on which salvation rests; that justice must be done to all, if anyone is to be healed. No one can lose, and everyone must benefit.…

God has given all of Himself equally to all of His creations. Because God is one, none of His creations can have more nor less than all. This is God’s justice. The Truth in all of us is the same, for the Truth in us shares all of God’s attributes.

The perception of any problem is based on belief in differences. Yet this cannot be true. To solve all of our perceived problems, we must bring them to the Holy Spirit for help to change our mistaken perception. We must come with empty hands and heart with willingness to receive His loving correction.

Because the ego is the belief in differences, it is incapable of solving any problem with God’s justice. The Holy Spirit brings to us the unity that comes from knowing God’s oneness and will show us that we remain as God created us, whole and complete.

Loss is impossible. Our natural state is the constant giving and receiving of God’s Love. With the Holy Spirit’s help, we will see the changeless Love beyond appearances. We will experience the safety of changeless Love. We will remember that nothing can change God’s Son. Here is our healing. Here is the miracle that is given to everyone equally.

Today we are willing to receive Holy Spirit’s miracle.

Choosing the Love of the Holy Spirit

There is a light in you the world can not perceive. And with its eyes you will not see this light, for you are blinded by the world. Yet you have eyes to see it. It is there for you to look upon. It was not placed in you to be kept hidden from your sight. This light is a reflection of the thought we practice now. To feel the Love of God within you is to see the world anew, shining in innocence, alive with hope, and blessed with perfect charity and love.

What would you see? The choice is given you. But learn and do not let your mind forget this law of seeing: You will look upon that which you feel within. If hatred finds a place within your heart, you will perceive a fearful world, held cruelly in death’s sharp-pointed, bony fingers. If you feel the Love of God within you, you will look out on a world of mercy and of love.

Today we pass illusions, as we seek to reach to what is true in us, and feel its all-embracing tenderness, its Love which knows us perfect as itself, its sight which is the gift its Love bestows on us. It is helpful to remember that the world we see is a projection of what we believe we are. If we believe we are separate from Love, we will perceive cause for fear. If we accept the Love we are which is united with the Love of God, we will see a world of kindness and safety.

In every moment we choose between these two viewpoints. If what we perceive disturbs our peace, it is a sure sign that we believe we are separate. It is this belief that needs to be forgiven with the Holy Spirit’s help. The ego is incapable of true forgiveness. Thus we need the help of the Holy Spirit Who knows the truth in us to help us overlook the images of the world.

When we choose the Love of the Holy Spirit as our Guide in seeing, we choose God’s happiness and peace. We claim it as ours. This is our practice for today.

Today We Accept Holy Spirit’s Peace

You whose mind is darkened by doubt and guilt, remember this: God gave the Holy Spirit to you, and gave Him the mission to remove all doubt and every trace of guilt that His dear Son has laid upon himself. It is impossible that this mission fail.

Peace will be yours because His peace still flows to you from Him Whose Will is peace. You have it now. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to use it, and by extending it, to learn that it is in you. God willed you Heaven, and will always will you nothing else.

Learn that even the darkest nightmare that disturbs the mind of God’s sleeping Son holds no power over him. He will learn the lesson of awaking. God watches over him and light surrounds him.

You do not have to know that Heaven is yours to make it so. It is so. Yet to know it, the Will of God must be accepted as your will.

As we connect to following the lead of the Holy Spirit in every situation, we are gently being led to the experience of peace and freedom, Love and happiness. It is the Holy Spirit That enlightens our mind to the truth.

We commit today to deepening our willingness to consistently follow Holy Spirit’s lead with every situation. God’s Will is our will. We want the Holy Spirit to show us the truth. We want to return to Love’s Oneness. We want to remember God. We want to return to the awareness that in truth we could never leave God. In Reality, we are one in God’s all encompassing Love now and forever, along with every brother.

Gratitude That We All Share God’s One Mind

My mind holds only what I think with God.

That is a fact, and represents the truth of What you are and What your Father is. It is this thought by which the Father gave creation to the Son, establishing the Son as co-creator with Himself. It is this thought that fully guarantees salvation to the Son. For in his mind no thoughts can dwell but those his Father shares. Lack of forgiveness blocks this thought from his awareness. Yet it is forever true.

Let us begin our preparation with some understanding of the many forms in which the lack of true forgiveness may be carefully concealed. Because they are illusions, they are not perceived to be but what they are; defenses that protect your unforgiving thoughts from being seen and recognized. Their purpose is to show you something else, and hold correction off through self-deceptions made to take its place.

…each [Thought you receive from God] will bring the message of His Love to you, returning messages of yours to Him. So will communion with the Lord of Hosts be yours, as He Himself has willed it be. Today we practice forgiving or letting go of thoughts that would deceive… We practice remembering again and again that our mind holds only what we think with God…

We allow ourselves to be in communion with God’s Love for us and ours of Him… We recognize our unity with God’s one purpose of extending Love to the whole Sonship…

We accept the peace that comes with communion in God’s Love… We accept the truth that we are in communion with everyone… We are united with the Love in everyone eternally… And for this we give thanks.

Remembering the Real World

There is a place in you where this whole world has been forgotten; where no memory of sin and of illusion linger still. There is a place in you which time has left, and echoes of eternity are heard. There is a resting place so still no sound except a hymn to Heaven rises up to gladden God the Father and the Son.

The changelessness of Heaven is in you, so deep within that nothing in this world but passes by, unnoticed and unseen. The still infinity of endless peace surrounds you gently in its soft embrace, so strong and quiet, tranquil in the might of its Creator, nothing can intrude upon the sacred Son of God within.

Nothing is asked of you but to accept the changeless and eternal that abide in him, for your Identity is there. The peace in you can but be found in him. And every thought of love you offer him but brings you nearer to your wakening to peace eternal and to endless joy.

Forgiving dreams are means to step aside from dreaming of a world outside yourself. And leading finally beyond all dreams, unto the peace of everlasting life. (A Course in Miracles, T-29.V.1:1-3;2:3-4; 3:3-5;8:5-6. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

The changeless of God’s peace is in us eternally. To experience this peace we need to forgive or let go of dreams of fear and guilt. We need to look past the dreams thoughts of separation show us. Through forgiveness our dreams become happy dreams in which we see the Love in our brothers instead of hate. Through forgiveness we learn to see the real world of innocence and Love.

As we let the dream of the real world replace the dreams of separation, we stand at the gates of Heaven, where we are welcomed into peace eternal. This is the purpose the Holy Spirit gives to every dream that leads us Home.

Choosing Everything in Place of Nothing

The full acceptance of salvation as your only function necessarily entails two phases; the recognition of salvation as your function, and the relinquishment of all the other goals you have invented for yourself.

Today’s idea offers you escape from all your perceived difficulties. It places the key to the door of peace, which you have closed upon yourself, in your own hands. It gives you the answer to all the searching you have done since time began.

…focus on [the] importance to you [of recognizing salvation as your only function], the relief its acceptance will bring you by resolving your conflicts once and for all, and the extent to which you really want salvation in spite of your own foolish ideas to the contrary.

Complexity and conflict are inevitable as long as we believe in the ego thought system of separation and differences. Nothing in the ego thought system is real. Believing we have to choose between unreal alternatives is confusing and frightening. What is unreal has no meaning of its own. So when we are choosing between unreal alternatives we are trying to choose between made up meanings which are by their nature unstable.

The Course is teaching us that our only meaningful choice is between the real and the unreal. Since the unreal does not exist, this is a choice between everything and nothing. When the true alternative is recognized, the choice is obvious.

Accepting salvation as our only function means making the choice for reality and disregarding the nothingness of the ego thought system. To do this we must learn to recognize the unreality of the ego. For this the Holy Spirit is our Teacher and our Guide to fulfill our only function.

Forgiveness Welcomes Heaven Now

Dwell not upon the past today. Keep a completely open mind, washed of all past ideas and clean of every concept you have made. You have forgiven the world today. You can look upon it now as if you never saw it before. You do not know yet what it looks like. You merely wait to have it shown to you.

Give thanks for mercy and the Love of God. Rejoice in the power of forgiveness to heal your sight completely. Be confident that on this day there is a new beginning. Without the darkness of the past upon your eyes, you cannot fail to see today. And what you see will be so welcome that you will gladly extend today forever.

We dedicate this day to the serenity in which God would have you be. Keep it in your awareness of yourself and see it everywhere today, as we celebrate the beginning of your vision and the sight of the real world, which has come to replace the unforgiven world you thought was real. If we are willing, we can be shown what it would be like if we forgive the world entirely. The forgiven world is a world of Light because no shadows of the past are carried along to darken the present moment. When we forgive, we cut our ties to the past, which does not exist except in imaginings that cannot be real now.

The key to forgiveness is willingness to let the past go. We do not really want to carry pain and suffering with us from the past. We do not really want to feel isolated and separate. We do not really want to live in a world of fear and guilt. This is not our Home. 

Today we dedicate to letting the past go. Today we happily accept the Holy Spirit’s help to overlook the past and focus on the brilliance of Love in the present. This is where we are at Home. This is where we are at peace. This is where we share God’s joy. We are willing to accept it now.
