We Let Ourselves Be Carried

Today we practice stepping back and letting ourselves be carried by Love’s kind and gentle Light…

We let Love’s peace flow through everything we do… We let Love’s peace heal our unhealed thoughts…

We decide nothing on our own and let ourselves be carried by Holy Spirit’s gentle inspiration in all our activities today.

Letting Holy Spirit Lead Us to Joy

Today we dedicate to following Holy Spirit’s lead. As we follow His lead, every moment is an opportunity to extend Love and answer calls for love with Love.

This practice will make the day a happy day indeed. For what could be more joyous than to be Love’s expression? All condemnation is laid aside and our oneness with all our brothers is remembered.

The Holy Spirit leads us to a “family reunion” as we recognize our unity with every brother. With this recognition we reunite in the oneness of Love, our Creator and our Source. It will be a joyous reunion indeed.

We Desire to Remember Our True Reality

The Thought of God created you. It left you not, nor have you ever been apart from it an instant. It belongs to you. By it you live. It is your Source of life, holding you one with it, and everything is one with you because it left you not. The Thought of God protects you, cares for you, makes soft your resting place and smooth your way, lighting your mind with happiness and love. Eternity and everlasting life shine in your mind, because the Thought of God has left you not, and still abides with you.

Would God consent to let His Son remain forever starved by his denial of the nourishment he needs to live? Abundance dwells in him, and deprivation cannot cut him off from God’s sustaining Love and from his home.

We count on God, and not upon ourselves, to give us certainty. …His sureness lies beyond our every doubt. His Love remains beyond our every fear. The Thought of Him is still beyond all dreams and in our minds, according to His Will. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 165, W-pI.165.2:1-7;6:5-6;8:1,3-5. See also ACIM Lesson 165 Insights.)

Because we are one with God, we are one with the Thought of God. Oneness means there are no differences — we are one and the same. We are the Thought of Love in the Mind of Love. Love shares all of Itself with all that is, and all that is is Love. This is the truth of our Reality.

As we desire to remember our true Reality, we open our inner windows and doors to the Light and peace and joy that is ours eternally. We practice this today.

Going Within to Our Inner Refuge of Peace

When you are still an instant, when the world recedes from you, when valueless ideas cease to have value in your restless mind, then will you hear His Voice. So poignantly He calls to you that you will not resist Him longer. In that instant He will take you to His home, and you will stay with Him in perfect stillness, silent and at peace, beyond all words, untouched by fear and doubt, sublimely certain that you are at home.

He has come as does a little child, who must beseech his father for protection and for love. He rules the universe, and yet He asks unceasingly that you return with Him, and take illusions as your gods no more.

You have not lost your innocence. It is for this you yearn. This is your heart’s desire. …Be still an instant and go home with Him, and be at peace a while. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 182, W-pI.182.8:1-3;11:4-5;12:1-3,9. See also ACIM Lesson 182 Insights.)

We have a place of refuge in our mind. It is a place of safety, peace and Love. It is the part of us that remembers our true Home. To go to this place of refuge we must step back from the frenzy of the world we experience through the body. This refuge cannot be found in the world. It is found instead by setting aside the world’s values and giving our attention to the stillness, peace and happiness of Love’s oneness.

We let the thoughts of the world pass by without engaging them… As we let them fade into the distance, the quiet strength and certainty of the Love within grows stronger in our awareness… Our mind becomes still… and we rest in deep peace… revitalized by Love’s strength… We remember our innocence… and see it in all our brothers… We return to our doing in the world with a new vision that lets our doing extend Love in gentleness and kindness.

God Is the Strength in Which I Trust

God is your safety in every circumstance. His Voice speaks for Him in all situations and in every aspect of all situations, telling you exactly what to do to call upon His strength and His protection.

You must also gain an awareness that confidence in your real strength is fully justified in every respect and in all circumstances.

…reach down into your mind to a place of real safety. You will recognize that you have reached it if you feel a sense of deep peace, however briefly. Let go all the trivial things that churn and bubble on the surface of your mind, and reach down and below them to the Kingdom of Heaven. There is a place in you where there is perfect peace. There is a place in you where nothing is impossible.

Remember that peace is your right, because you are giving your trust to the strength of God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.47.3:1-2;6:2;7:1-6;8:3. See also ACIM Lesson 47 Insights.)

The Course gives us clear direction to follow if we want the peace of God: Put all our trust in the strength of God. God has already given us all His strength. It is only our belief and trust in the ego thought system of isolation and vulnerability that blocks our awareness of God’s strength and peace.

Our assignment for ourselves today is to step aside from attempting to decide anything on our own. As we let Holy Spirit decide for us “in all situations and every aspect of all situations,” we are led gently and lovingly to God’s peace. This is our practice today.

We Are One Self, United with Our Creator

I am one Self, united with my Creator.

Serenity and perfect peace are mine, because I am one Self, completely whole, at one with all creation and with God.

From my one Self, Whose knowledge still remains within my mind, I see God’s perfect plan for my salvation perfectly fulfilled. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.113.1:1-2;2:2. See also ACIM Lesson 113 Insights.)

The fact that we are one Self, united with our Creator, is the foundation for forgiveness. Because of this fact, we share God’s invulnerability and changelessness. We cannot be harmed. Because we are one with God’s Love, neither can we harm. Thus in truth, we are perfectly safe and perfectly innocent. There is no real cause for fear or guilt.

Any time we experience fear or guilt, it can only be because we are believing in a false image of what we are. It is this we need to take to the Holy Spirit with willingness to let Him show us the falsity of the image. As soon as we recognize the false as false, forgiveness is automatic.

As we remind ourselves today that we are one Self, united with our Creator, we strengthen our foundation to forgive all seeming causes for guilt and all appearances of harm or loss. We take another step closer to true forgiveness and the experience of the real world.

We Invite Christ’s Vision Today

Today I choose to look upon what Christ would have me see, to listen to God’s Voice, and seek the witnesses to what is true in God’s creation.

Father, Christ’s vision is the way to You. What He beholds invites Your memory to be restored to me. And this I choose, to be what I would look upon today. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.271.1:2;2:1-3. See also ACIM Lesson 271 Insights.)

When we invite Christ’s vision, peace and inspiration come with it… We are lifted up to see the Love behind the present circumstance… We feel Love’s certainty beyond the doubt and complexity the ego thought system brings…

We open to the awareness of Love’s Presence and extend it freely to everyone equally… We are filled with gratitude and peace, knowing we are receiving the perfect lessons at the perfect time… We receive insight into how to be truly helpful in each present moment… And we give thanks for all that comes as we invite Christ’s vision today.
