Joy Comes with Following God’s Voice He has put His Voice in our minds to lead us to His perfect happiness. But when we believe that something other than God will bring us happiness — a circumstance, a relationship, behavior, or some thing in the world — we are afraid of the Guidance of Holy Spirit. We are afraid the Holy Spirit will ask us to sacrifice the things we think will make us happy.

Yet if we look honestly at anything we have achieved that we thought would make us happy in the world, we have to admit that at best, it was only temporary happiness. But God’s Voice leads us to eternal happiness. This is what we really want.

To let ourselves be led to God’s perfect happiness, we need to be willing to be shown that we do not know what anything we perceive in the world truly means. We need to be willing to be taught true perception. As we practice offering all our perceptions to Holy Spirit with willingness to receive His interpretation, we will learn to recognize that all things in the world of separation have no value. When we recognize them as valueless, we freely lay them down with no sense of sacrifice.

Today we journey toward perfect happiness by letting Holy Spirit be our Interpreter throughout the day.
