Let Go of Efforting

Mary:
Today is a day to practice letting the veil be lifted. Being willing to practice this will bring joy to my heart and mind. The Holy Spirit always takes the opportunity to heal my mind when I give Him the chance. The Holy Spirit is my advisor and comforter. Letting Him in by making space for Him and giving Him welcome is what my job is. A Course in Miracles reminds me, “In quiet is every problem quietly resolved.” As I relax and listen, peace returns to my confused mind and replaces all the scattered thoughts. Thank goodness I have the Holy Spirit to return me to peace when my mind wanders and I think I am separate and alone. In my mind resides the greatest gift — the gift of my universal Self. Today I will practice receiving this priceless gift and let the veil be lifted to recognize the eternal truth in me and everyone. And for this opportunity I give thanks.

Robert:
When I feel any sense of efforting, it is a sure sign that I am denying my union with God (Love). All strength and power come from Love. A sense of efforting can only mean that I believe my strength is diminished and I am working against a greater strength. This is impossible in truth, since there is no strength but Love’s, and my true Self remains unified in that Love.

Today my practice is to be vigilant for Love… to accept Love’s strength… to offer each thought of weakness to my true Self to be healed. This practice will take me great strides on my journey Home.
