Let Holy Spirit Guide in Each Moment

The ego mind thinks that it is the boss. It resists the suggestion to step back and follow because it fears loss of control. It is insulted by the implication that it knows nothing and does not know how to solve problems on its own. That is why our growing willingness to let Holy Spirit guide us each moment is so important.

The Holy Spirit is in our minds in each present moment, patiently waiting to guide us to freedom from the tyranny of the ego mind. Today’s practice is to go to Holy Spirit with “every apprehension, every care and every form of suffering.” (A Course in Miracles W-pI.193.13:4)

As we allow ourselves to recognize when we are not at peace and step back and follow, instead of thinking we know on our own, we make life easier for ourselves. We let the Holy Spirit remove the unconscious barriers we are placing before us on our journey Home. The Holy Spirit knows how to remove the barriers and smooth the pathway Home. Today our highest priority is to let Holy Spirit guide in each moment.
