Letting Love Fill Our Mind

Be in my mind, my Father, through the day.

Be in my mind, my Father, when I wake, and shine on me throughout the day today. ²Let every minute be a time in which I dwell with You. ³And let me not forget my hourly thanksgiving that You have remained with me, and always will be there to hear my call to You and answer me. ⁴As evening comes, let all my thoughts be still of You and of Your Love. ⁵And let me sleep sure of my safety, certain of Your care, and happily aware I am Your Son.

This is as every day should be. ²Today, practice the end of fear. ³Have faith in Him Who is your Father. ⁴Trust all things to Him. ⁵Let Him reveal all things to you, and be you undismayed because you are His Son. (A Course in Miracles, W-232. See also ACIM Lesson 232 Insights.)

The ego is the idea of wanting to put God out of our mind. This can only seem to be done in dreams of separation. In Reality, our mind remains eternally one with His Mind. When we affirm that we want our Father to be in our mind, we are telling ourselves that we want to wake up from the lonely dream of separation.

As we accept that God is in our mind, fear is replaced by Love, chaos is replaced by peace and sadness is replaced by joy. Throughout today we remind ourselves that we want to remember that we remain one with our Father. We want to remember that we a one with all in Love.

Accepting the Holy Spirit’s Lead

This day is God’s. It is my gift to Him.

I will not lead my life alone today. ²I do not understand the world, and so to try to lead my life alone must be but foolishness. ³But there is One Who knows all that is best for me. ⁴And He is glad to make no choices for me but the ones that lead to God. ⁵I give this day to Him, for I would not delay my coming home, and it is He Who knows the way to God.

And so we give today to You. ²We come with wholly open minds. ³We do not ask for anything that we may think we want. ⁴Give us what You would have received by us. ⁵You know all our desires and our wants. ⁶And You will give us everything we need in helping us to find the way to You. The ego always wants to be in charge. It started with the request for special favor, which was a request that God change what He is to the ego’s liking. The ego continues to offer tempting wishes that God grant what favors specialness, but denies the Self we are as God’s Son.

In the dream of specialness, we do not understand the Reality of Love’s oneness. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to guide us to decide for the oneness of Love. Today we welcome the Holy Spirit’s lead in place of our individual wishes. We accept His lead which brings us back to the peace, joy and Love that is our birthright.

Releasing the World from Our Misperceptions

The world is false perception. ²It is born of error, and it has not left its source. ³It will remain no longer than the thought that gave it birth is cherished. ⁴When the thought of separation has been changed to one of true forgiveness, will the world be seen in quite another light; and one which leads to truth, where all the world must disappear and all its errors vanish. ⁵Now its source has gone, and its effects are gone as well.

The world was made as an attack on God. ²It symbolizes fear. ³And what is fear except love’s absence? ⁴Thus the world was meant to be a place where God could enter not, and where His Son could be apart from Him.

As sight was made to lead away from truth, it can be redirected. ²Sounds become the call for God, and all perception can be given a new purpose by the One Whom God appointed Savior to the world. ³Follow His light, and see the world as He beholds it. ⁴Hear His Voice alone in all that speaks to you. ⁵And let Him give you peace and certainty….” (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.3.1:1–2:4;4:1-5)

The Voice for God is in our mind, ever ready to direct us to see what He sees in the world. He overlooks the denial of God’s Love. He sees only Love and calls for Love.

When we join with the Holy Spirit, He teaches us through true perception of the world, seen through forgiving eyes. Where calls for Love are recognized, He guides us to answer these calls with Love. As we let His answer be given through us, we learn of the Love we are. Under His guidance, perception of differences yields to recognition of our unity in Love.

Today we choose Love as our Guide, for we would release the world from our misperceptions and welcome the unity of Love as our Home.

Dismantling the Veil of Love’s Denial

Judgment and love are opposites. From one come all the sorrows of the world. But from the other comes the peace of God Himself.

Forgiveness looks on sinlessness alone, and judges not. ²Through this I come to You. ³Judgment will bind my eyes and make me blind. ⁴Yet love, reflected in forgiveness here, reminds me You have given me a way to find Your peace again. ⁵I am redeemed when I elect to follow in this way. ⁶You have not left me comfortless. ⁷I have within me both the memory of You, and One Who leads me to it. ⁸Father, I would hear Your Voice and find Your peace today. ⁹For I would love my own Identity, and find in It the memory of You. (A Course in Miracles, W-352. See also ACIM Lesson 352 Insights.)

In the dream where Love is denied, Love’s Reality is unknown. The veil of denial we have erected in our mind hides Love from our perception. We dismantle this veil, which shows us only our projections, through our forgiveness. As we let go of the images we have made up, the Light of Love shines through the veil.

When forgiveness is complete, we see the last projection of a forgiven world which is replaced by the Light of our Father’s Love. This is our true Home. Today we welcome the Holy Spirit’s Voice to guide us to let go of our misperceptions and welcome the Love that unites us with all Creation. We are grateful for His help.

Fulfilling Our Shared Mission

My eyes, my tongue, my hands, my feet today have but one purpose; to be given Christ to use to bless the world with miracles.

Father, I give all that is mine today to Christ, to use in any way that best will serve the purpose that I share with Him. ²Nothing is mine alone, for He and I have joined in purpose. ³Thus has learning come almost to its appointed end. ⁴A while I work with Him to serve His purpose. ⁵Then I lose myself in my Identity, and recognize that Christ is but my Self. (A Course in Miracles, W-353. See also ACIM Lesson 353 Insights.)

We have a joyous purpose to fulfill. It is to bring the loving message of Christ, our true Self, to the world. We do this by forgiving our mistaken beliefs that lead to perceptions of differences and conflict. We are united with our Creator in Love.

In the dream of separation, this Reality is denied. In this world it seems that conflict, attack, defense, loneliness and loss are a fact of ‘life.’ The message that we are united in Love leads to awakening to our true Life which is the eternal extension of Love.

Let us be messengers of Love today and join together in fulfilling our shared mission.

Our Mission Is to Remember Love

The Holy Spirit cannot speak to an unwelcoming host, because He will not be heard. ²The Eternal Guest remains, but His Voice grows faint in alien company. ³He needs your protection, only because your care is a sign that you want Him. ⁴Think like Him ever so slightly, and the little spark becomes a blazing light that fills your mind so that He becomes your only Guest. ⁵Whenever you ask the ego to enter, you lessen His welcome. ⁶He will remain, but you have allied yourself against Him. ⁷Whatever journey you choose to take, He will go with you, waiting. ⁸You can safely trust His patience, for He cannot leave a part of God. ⁹Yet you need far more than patience.

You will never rest until you know your function and fulfill it, for only in this can your will and your Father’s be wholly joined. ²To have Him is to be like Him, and He has given Himself to you. ³You who have God must be as God, for His function became yours with His gift. ⁴Invite this knowledge back into your mind, and let nothing that obscures it enter. ⁵The Guest Whom God sent you will teach you how to do this, if you but recognize the little spark and are willing to let it grow. ⁶Your willingness need not be perfect, because His is. ⁷If you will merely offer Him a little place, He will lighten it so much that you will gladly let it be increased. ⁸And by this increase, you will begin to remember creation. God has given us all one function in this world. It is to remember that, like Him, we are Love and nothing else. When we remember that, we see everything and everyone as one with us in that Love. Nothing real exists outside of Love’s oneness.

We have been given a Helper in our mind to help us fulfill our purpose. But we must be willing to accept His help. He does not demand that our willingness be total. He will take our little willingness and make it whole by joining it with His Will.

Today we channel the urge to search for Love to open our mind to the Holy Spirit’s help. Only by following His direction will we be led to search where the Love we seek can be found. He will show us that Love is within us always. It is our true Self. This Self knows only Love is real and sees that Love in everyone. This is our mission.

We Are Love in the Heart of Love

Fear is not justified in any form.

Fear is deception. ²It attests that you have seen yourself as you could never be, and therefore look upon a world which is impossible. ³Not one thing in this world is true. ⁴It does not matter what the form in which it may appear. ⁵It witnesses but to your own illusions of yourself. ⁶Let us not be deceived today. ⁷We are the Sons of God. ⁸There is no fear in us, for we are each a part of Love Itself.

How foolish are our fears! ²Would You allow Your Son to suffer? ³Give us faith today to recognize Your Son, and set him free. ⁴Let us forgive him in Your Name, that we may understand his holiness, and feel the love for him which is Your Own as well. (A Course in Miracles, W-240. See also ACIM Lesson 240 Insights.)

Because of our wish for specialness, it is hard to believe that we are the creation of Love Itself. Nothing we perceive with the body is real — only a dream. But when we learn to accept this fact, all fear disappears. We learn that our Reality is only Love; nothing else exists.

We have Help to learn this important lesson that is answer to our self deception. Our Reality is Love and nothing else. We are grateful that we have Help within our mind to let go of our mistaken wishes and false perceptions. We have Help to recognize that we remain eternally Love in the Heart of Love.
