Love Created Me Like Itself

Love created me like Itself. I am in the likeness of my Creator. I cannot suffer, I cannot experience loss and I cannot die. I am not a body. I would recognize my reality today. I will worship no idols, nor raise my own self-concept to replace my Self. I am in the likeness of my Creator. Love created me like Itself. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.84.1)

We are all created by Love as Love. If we see anything or anyone as other than Love, we are believing in a false image, worshiping an idol. The central idol in the world is the body. When we believe we are a body, we are worshiping an idol. With that belief, peace and happiness are impossible. For to believe we are a body is to attempt to replace our Self with a made up self concept. It is this we must let go of.

The moment-by-moment practice of forgiveness, of letting go of belief in a false image of ourselves, is the path to peace and joy. In each moment that we choose to accept the Holy Spirit’s vision in place of our own projections, we come closer to remembering Who we are. We come closer to remembering we remain in Heaven as God created us.

Today we practice remembering that we are not a body and we hold our minds open to receive Holy Spirit’s vision that will always show us the Love we are and everyone is.
