Love Is Always There

Robert:  Yesterday I had the opportunity to officiate a memorial service for a dear friend, Richard Degnitz. He made his transition at age 96. Since we came to Pathways 20 years ago, he and his wife Minnie have been wonderful supportive friends. At times when our trust was a little shaky, they encouraged us with their trust, their confidence that we were begin guided by Spirit.

On a feeling level, my experience during the service was tremendously uplifting. I felt a flow of Love through me that reached out to embrace everyone there. Not surprisingly, there were family members who cried at various times. Yet rather than feeling sad with them, I just felt Love flowing through me and embracing them.

So the whole experience for me was a great blessing. The Love that flowed through me blessed me as well. It was a wonderful demonstration to me that no matter what the circumstance appears to be, Love is always there and always answers. It does not matter whether those present were seemingly lost in sadness or felt the Love. The Love was given and received. If they were unable to feel it in the moment, the Love is held for them and they will feel It when they feel safe enough to accept it.

Love is never lost, never diminished, never interrupted because Love is eternal. It is not my job to make anyone feel Love. It is only my job to be a channel of Love. By so doing I learn of the Love that I am. I learn of the Love that God is. I learn of Heaven, my Home.

Mary: Yesterday the Holy Spirit reminded me that we are all wearing virtual reality suits and that nothing we see through the body’s eyes (virtual reality suits) is real. The body was made for the purpose of making separation appear to have really happened.

So yesterday as I was at the memorial service, I was remembering that everything that I was seeing through the body’s eyes is unreal. I was reminded that only Love’s formless oneness is real. This helped me take the dream lightly. It helped me remember to see past the dream to the Love that is the truth about everyone. I am grateful to the Holy Spirit for reminding me that only the truth of Love’s oneness is true, and nothing else is true.

My job now is to allow the Holy Spirit, Which is the true Self of everyone, to gently remind me of the truth when I forget. My job now is to take everything I perceive and let the Holy Spirit reinterpret it for me. I take this practice to my day today and allow the Holy Spirit to gently undo my belief in the dream of separation. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
