No Effort Is Required

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Let go of efforting. Efforting is a sure sign that you have decided on your own what you need and believe that you know how to find it. But remember when you decide on your own, you are deciding with the ego. And the ego always wants to seek and not find. Thus efforting keeps you locked into an endless circle that appears to have no way out and will never satisfy.

Step back from efforting. You cannot effort and find peace. Peace cannot be found within the thought system that believes you are on your own. It is this belief that must be set aside. Allowing yourself to settle into peace opens the way for you to find what you really want — the peace of God.

Step back and welcome peace. Be willing to be taught what you really need and really want. The Teacher in your mind who knows you as you are and does not believe in the false image you have made of yourself will gently guide you to the full remembrance of your Self.

No effort is required. But vigilance is required because you have a long established habit of belief in an image that is not what you are. You need not try to change the image but you do need to be vigilant for peace so that your inner Teacher can change the image for you. Every moment of every day, every activity, every relationship is an opportunity to learn the truth about your Self. Step back into peace and let yourself be taught.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Put every image of separation you see on God’s Altar. There you will be shown the eternal Light beyond the image. There you will feel the peace and joy and Love of God. You will be shown that only Love is there.

This is your practice today. Your role is to hand every image of separation to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s role is to show you the truth. Enjoy the truth today.
