The Power of Love

Walk softly, and carry a big remembrance of Love. Remembrance of Love will carry you through every situation, no matter how difficult it may appear in the moment. Let Love be all that matters. This remembrance brings high dividends and great happiness. This remembrance open us to the power of Love, which is beyond measure. As we practice it hourly, we know that this is true.

Accepting Holy Spirit’s Way

You need not worry about what you should do or what you should say. The Holy Spirit will guide you in everything, in all situations, at all times. He alone knows the response that is in your highest interest, and equally beneficial to all who will be affected in any way by your decision. Referring decisions to Him, will always result in the best outcome for all concerned. It may not appear so at time, but as you learn that you do not know enough to judge, and if you will trust, the end result is certain. (From the Christ Mind, p. 119)

Our practice for today is to strengthen our willingness and to step back and follow with all the circumstances that show up in our life. This takes vigilance and a willingness to let go of bringing the past to the present. We may think we know, but we do not. Only the Spirit of Love That resides in our mind knows how to best extend the Love — our only function. As we practice this and step back all through the day, we are assured of the peace and joy that are Holy Spirit’s gifts throughout the day. And we are grateful for the wonderful opportunity we have today.

Let Happiness Bubble Up

Behind every image I have made, the truth remains unchanged. Behind every veil I have drawn across the face of love, its light remains undimmed. Beyond all my insane wishes is my will, united with the Will of my Father. God is still everywhere and in everything forever. And we who are part of Him will yet look past all appearances, and recognize the truth beyond them all. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.56.4:2-6)

In truth we still are God’s Love, and inherent in God’s Love is His peace and joy. We are learning to return to our inherent eternal nature. We are willing to see past every form to the truth today. As we practice today, we notice the happiness that naturally bubbles up with remembering the truth. And we give thanks.

Walking with Christ

Let us be still an instant, and forget all things we ever learned, all thoughts we had, and every preconception that we hold of what things mean and what their purpose is. Let us remember not our own ideas of what the world is for. We do not know. Let every image held of everyone be loosened from our minds and swept away.

…Now do you know him not. But you are free to learn of him, and learn of him anew. …Now is he free to live as you are free, because an ancient learning passed away, and left a place for truth to be reborn. (A Course in Miracles, T-31.I.12;13.2-3,5)

We always walk with Christ, because That is our true Identity. But we are unaware of It when we insist on maintaining a separate identity. To know the peace and happiness that God wills for us, we must be willing to let go of the separate identity we have made. This means also letting go of seeing anyone else as a separate identity.

Our function now is to forget what we have taught ourselves about what we are. As we let this go, we clear our minds to receive the truth that Holy Spirit holds out to us in every moment. As we welcome Holy Spirit’s loving lesson of our innocence and unity with Love, we recognize that we walk with Christ in each now moment. This is our only function.

We Give the World a New Purpose

Those who would see the witnesses to truth instead of to illusion merely ask that they might see a purpose in the world that gives it sense and makes it meaningful. Without your special function has this world no meaning for you. Yet it can become a treasure house as rich and limitless as Heaven itself. No instant passes here in which your brother’s holiness cannot be seen, to add a limitless supply to every meager scrap and tiny crumb of happiness that you allot yourself.

It is your special function to ensure the door be opened, that he may come forth to shine on you, and give you back the gift of freedom by receiving it of you. (A Course in Miracles, T-26.I.5;8:4)

Our special function is to see our brother’s holiness. Our special function is to see past the world of separate bodies to the fact that God’s Son is One and includes everyone. As we see the radiant Love in every brother, we receive the Love we are focusing on because giving and receiving are the same. As we give we are receiving. That is why seeing the Love in every brother brings us great happiness and peace.

To see the Love, we must let go of judgment and allow the truth in every brother to take the place of the images we judge. Herein lies our freedom from the bonds of our belief in separation. With the Holy Spirit’s help we let go of judgment and the world becomes a mirror to show us the Love that unites us as one.

We Walk with God

I take the journey with you. For I share your doubts and fears a little while, that you may come to me who recognize the road by which all fears and doubts are overcome. We walk together. I must understand uncertainty and pain, although I know they have no meaning. Yet a savior must remain with those he teaches, seeing what they see, but still retaining in his mind the way that led him out, and now will lead you out with him. God’s Son is crucified until you walk along the road with me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.V.6)

With the help of our inner Guide, today we see the world anew. We see that we are being guided step by step as we quietly give time to seeing past the dream to the truth.

We allow ourselves to rest in God, while we bring His care to our daily responsibilities. We let ourselves receive and extend the peace and joy that is ours forever. We give thanks for the opportunity to be of service to the awakening this day and every day.

Forgiveness Brings Happiness

“Forgiveness is the key to happiness. I will awaken from the dream that I am mortal, fallible and full of sin, and know I am the perfect Son of God.” (W-pI.122.13.6-7)

Holy Spirit, we choose to let the veil be lifted to see the face of Christ in all our brothers. We choose to see beyond the dream of separate bodies to the constant, eternal Truth that is always there to see, when we are willing.

Holy Spirit, today we are willing to be happy, instead of insisting that our dream of separation is real. We are willing to receive Your all encompassing peace that fills our mind with Truth instead of illusion. This is all we want today and every day. We practice opening to and receiving Your vision. As we receive, we give, and we are full of gratitude.
