God’s Guiltless Son Is Only Light

Now is the time of salvation, for now is the release from time. Reach out to all your brothers, and touch them with the touch of Christ. In timeless union with them is your continuity, unbroken because it is wholly shared. God’s guiltless Son is only light. There is no darkness in him anywhere, for he is whole. Call all your brothers to witness to his wholeness, as I am calling you to join with me. Each voice has a part in the song of redemption, the hymn of gladness and thanksgiving for the light to the Creator of light. The holy light that shines forth from God’s Son is the witness that his light is of his Father. (A Course in Miracles T-13.VI.8)

The Light of our Father is everywhere. Are we willing to see it? In truth, the Christ is all there is to see.

The Holy Spirit is right there in our minds to help us see past the false stories of separation to the eternal Light of Christ that is always present. The Light that we all are is continuous and has not changed.

Today our practice is to be willing to see past all stories to the one true reality that is eternal… Love is… God is… There is nothing else. God’s guiltless Son is only Light. Remembering this is our practice for today.

Learning to See Our Brothers Truly

Do not seek vision through your eyes, for you made your way of seeing that you might see in darkness, and in this you are deceived. Beyond this darkness, and yet still within you, is the vision of Christ, Who looks on all in light. Your “vision” comes from fear, as His from love. And He sees for you, as your witness to the real world. He is the Holy Spirit’s manifestation, looking always on the real world, and calling forth its witnesses and drawing them to you. He loves what He sees within you, and He would extend it. And He will not return unto the Father until He has extended your perception even unto Him. And there perception is no more, for He has returned you to the Father with Him.

The Holy Spirit is the light in which Christ stands revealed. And all who would behold Him can see Him, for they have asked for light. Nor will they see Him alone, for He is no more alone than they are. (A Course in Miracles T-13.V.9;11:1-3)

One of the most emphasized ideas in the Course is that we are not a body. It makes sense then that to think we can see with the body’s eyes would be a self-deception, since the body is not what we are. To see truly, our seeing must be based on What we are. This is Christ’s vision, which sees as the Holy Spirit sees us. As we practice accepting Christ’s vision in our minds, we see our brother as wholly innocent, wholly loving, and at one with us. What we see with Christ’s vision in our brother shows us What we are.

Forgiveness is letting go of false images. To do this we need to accept Holy Spirit’s help to strengthen our true vision, which uses the Light of Love to see truly, instead of relying on the empty images the body’s eyes show us. Today we practice frequently opening our minds to the Holy Spirit’s Light and joining with Him to see our brother’s truly and learn to recognize the Self we share. Here is peace. Here is Love. Here is joy.

Giving Time Today to Step Back from the Story of Separation

In the past we have given time to reinforce the story of separation. Right now we have the opportunity to reverse this habit. Right now, today, we have the opportunity to open our minds to Holy Spirit, Who will reverse our thinking, our mistaken perceptions, as we allow it. Each present moment is another opportunity to return to the truth of our oneness with our Father.

We can open to Christ’s vision, which will show us the truth in ourselves and every brother. Every moment today is a new opportunity to forgive or let go of our belief in separation.

We have taught ourselves to limit our seeing to the body’s senses. This makes seeing truth impossible. But we have another Teacher in our minds Who is ready to teach us to see truly, if we are willing. His lessons show us that there is only oneness. Every brother remains one with us. We remain one with our Source, in perfect Love and changeless peace. This peace is ours for the acceptance. We need only be willing to be taught by the Teacher of Truth. This is our practice for today.

I Will Be Still and Accept God’s Blessing

I will be still, and let the earth be still along with me. And in that stillness we will find the peace of God. It is within my heart, which witnesses to God Himself.

God’s blessing shines upon me from within my heart, where He abides. I need but turn to Him, and every sorrow melts away, as I accept His boundless Love for me. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.208.1:2-4;207:2-3)

God gave us the purpose to be happy, which is to share His joy. We can share His joy only by accepting that we remain at one with Him, sharing His joy and His Will. The world we experience through the body reflects our denial of the Will we share with God. It hides the truth from our awareness.

Our practice today is to join with the Holy Spirit in our minds to receive His interpretation of all our perceptions. This is how we will learn to look past the world, to forgive it, and recognize that we remain as God created us, in perfect happiness. We give thanks for the Holy Spirit’s vision of truth, which shows us God’s boundless Love for us.

Seeing with the Holy Spirit to Awaken to Truth

The Holy Spirit asks of you but this; bring to Him every secret you have locked away from Him. Open every door to Him, and bid Him enter the darkness and lighten it away. At your request He enters gladly. He brings the light to darkness if you make the darkness open to Him.…

Joining with Him in seeing is the way in which you learn to share with Him the interpretation of perception that leads to knowledge. You cannot see alone. Sharing perception with Him Whom God has given you teaches you how to recognize what you see. It is the recognition that nothing you see means anything alone. Seeing with Him will show you that all meaning, including yours, comes not from double vision, but from the gentle fusing of everything into one meaning, one emotion and one purpose. God has one purpose which He shares with you. The single vision which the Holy Spirit offers you will bring this oneness to your mind with clarity and brightness so intense you could not wish, for all the world, not to accept what God would have you have. (A Course in Miracles T-14.VII.6:1-4;7:1-7)

Letting go of the dramas of the world seems daunting. If we had to do it alone, it would be impossible. But the power of God is available to us through the Holy Spirit in our minds. He knows we are not alone. He sees us as we truly are — at one with our Creator and with all our brothers.

When we are willing to share Holy Spirit’s vision, the perception of the dramas of the world is transformed in the recognition that it is either Love or a call for Love. The Holy Spirit is not deceived by the forms of fear and guilt in the world. That is why the way to awaken is to share His vision.

With Him we see the Love beyond the veil of images. We see the invulnerability of the Self that God created at one with Him. We recognize that we are that Self along, with all our brothers. All sense of harm fades away as we remember we remain as God created us. Today we practice opening our minds to share Holy Spirit’s vision.

Make Way for Happiness

Love, our true Nature, is always joyous. If we are not experiencing joy, we are denying our true Nature. Judgment denies the Love we are and covers our innate joy with guilt and fear. This is why forgiveness is the key to happiness. As we let go of judgment, our innate joy rushes in to take its place.

Today we will be mindful of every sign of lack of joy — sadness, discouragement, frustration, impatience, guilt, irritation, pain of any kind.  These signs are a gift if we use them as reminders to bring our thoughts to the Holy Spirit in our minds, with willingness to receive His true perception in place of our mistaken perceptions. This is how we forgive. This is how we set aside judgment and welcome the vision of innocence that sees our brothers and ourselves truly. This is how we make way for true happiness.

Accepting the Thought of God

The Thought of God created you. It left you not, nor have you ever been apart from it an instant. It belongs to you. By it you live. It is your Source of life, holding you one with it, and everything is one with you because it left you not. The Thought of God protects you, cares for you, makes soft your resting place and smooth your way, lighting your mind with happiness and love. Eternity and everlasting life shine in your mind, because the Thought of God has left you not, and still abides with you. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.165.2)

Let us today remember to leave a clean and open space for God’s Thought to enter. It is a Thought of peace. The Light of Love returns with our invitation and willingness to receive. God’s peace returns as we are willing to hand over our fearful thoughts and let them be replaced with the truth of universal Love.

Our practice today is to let Love return to light our minds with happiness and peace… We give thanks that our willingness to accept the Thought of God is strong today…
