Be Guided by the Light

Holy Spirit to Mary:  Solo la Luz (only the Light). Step back and let yourself be guided by the Light within. Relax and let yourself be carried. This is great time management that really works. The ego will guard against this, but I tell you it is true. Relax and listen first. And then let your actions stem from this. This is how to have a truly inspired day.

Self to Annie: You can always count on a miracle when you are willing to hand over the thoughts that make you suffer. A miracle is an undoing so it will always free your mind from the thoughts that you have made up. You no longer will have to be a prisoner of your own mind when you let the ray of Light of the miracle come in and shine your thoughts away.

This time, as you know, it is perfect for letting the Light of the miracle bless you. It will bless many minds as you accept it into yours. Be grateful for this awesome possibility. Be grateful for the gift of miracles.

Holy Spirit to Robert:  (I see an image of perfectly calm water, reflecting what is above.) You can experience the reflection of Heaven in the world. To do this you must choose peace, just as disturbing the water makes the reflection unrecognizable, lack of peace makes the presence of Love unrecognizable. Choose peace, dear brother, and allow yourself to experience the reflection of Heaven here.

Holy Spirit to Sharyn:  Allow yourself to be carried today. As you walk through your day holding Jesus’ hand, know that everything is perfect. I will go before you making sure there are no stones to trip on. Worry not, for I am with you always.

Love Is the Answer

Holy Spirit to Robert:  You habitually place your trust in the untrustworthy. You believe what you perceive through the body’s eyes, what the body feels and hears. Yet this is self-deception. The body is an illusion and an illusion can only “see” illusion. Now you are practicing breaking the habit. A habit can be broken with a single thought, but as long as you see value in the habit, you are tempted to revert to the old habit. And so you must be taught that the old habit has no value for you.

The good news is that you are teachable. The very fact that you have taught yourself to trust an illusion is a demonstration that you can learn. Your practice of diligently bringing all your perceptions to the Holy Spirit for His interpretation allows the Holy Spirit to teach you where true value lies. It is not in the True Value Hardware store. It is in the true value Heaven of God. The reward that is yours for your diligence and willingness to learn is Heaven. It is worth it.

Self to Annie:  The call to follow Spirit is a call to live in your heart. Who You Are knows what that means, so it needs no explanation. Be there. Stay there. Live there. And all your choices will come from the Light.

Holy Spirit to Mary:  Let go of the reins. You did not create yourself. Let yourself be carried. Make no decisions on your own. Hand your idea of being a separate person with a separate mind over to the Holy Spirit. There is no separate self that is different from God. Thinking this is the authority problem. In truth you cannot author yourself. As a separate person you are nowhere and nothing. But as God’s eternal Light, you have all and are one with all.

Step back again and again today and remember one more time that you know nothing on your own. All the lessons that you have learned through the ego are invalid and mean nothing. They are wrong. Come with empty hands and an open heart. Be still and listen. Let peace replace your belief in the conflict that arises from belief in separation. Let peace fill your mind. Let yourself be carried to the truth through peace.

Jesus to Sharyn: Today as we walk along the journey holding hands, let’s remember the oneness with our Father. Let’s remember that as we walk together on our path Home, only oneness is real. The oneness of God is filled with nothing but Love. Anything else is not oneness.

Today as we walk together in oneness, let us extend the Love we are to everyone we see or think of. In every situation, only Love is the Answer. Sometimes what is loving according to God may not what you think loving is. Therefore it is important to be aware of My presence and holding My Hand throughout your day, every hour, every minute, every second.

Step Back and Listen

Holy Spirit to Mary: Put everything that concerns you in God’s Hands. That is where it belongs. If you find yourself taking it out of God’s Hands and trying to figure it out on your own, you have forgotten Who you are and Where you are.

This forgetting can cause great distress if you allow it. This is why you are learning the practice of stepping back and listening. You are seeing why this is so important. This is why you need to apply your learning to every situation, not just some. Learning the lesson of stepping back brings you peace and the peace of God is all you really want.

Holy Spirit to Robert: There is a place in you that is perfectly calm all the time. Nothing can disturb its peace. In this place there is no perception of “others.” There is only the knowing of unity and the joy of the free receiving and giving of Love. This is your Self. It is ever present in you.

It seems to be within because it has been overlaid with false images of separation. As you forgive or let go of these images, you will experience this place as What you are. This is the gift that is yours to know. It becomes your experience through your forgiveness.

Be mindful today of what you feel in each moment. If it is not perfectly calm, with a quiet joy, then offer your perception to Me. I will shine the Light of Love on it to clear away the false image and return it to you bright and clean. Let all your doing today serve this purpose.

Come with Empty Hands and an Open Mind

Mary:  The sentence that stood out to me in this morning’s reading in A Course in Miracles is, “Heaven itself is reached with empty hands and open minds, which come with nothing to find everything and claim it as their own.”

This gently reminds me to come to the Holy Spirit with empty hands and an open mind. If my mind is full of thoughts about what I think “should” happen and when, I am not making room to find “everything and claim it as my own.” This reminds me that I do not have to figure things out on my own. That is Holy Spirit’s job. It is Holy Spirit’s job to give and my job to receive. This is another way of saying, “Let go and let God.”

About 4:30 this morning, I woke up and was thinking about how the timing could go to get all the projects we are working on done. I went to Holy Spirit and was gently given the suggestion to read the titles of the first 50 ACIM Lessons in the Table of Contents of the Workbook. In the past, reading these has really helped me clear my mind of worldly thoughts and open my mind to God. I am reminded that this would help me now. Having a clear and open mind is a very important prerequisite to receiving Holy Spirit’s guidance. I make room for the Holy Spirit when I am willing to lay down all worldly thoughts.

When I do this now, the Holy Spirit tells me, “Relax. Everything is all right. There is nothing to fear. Each project will be completed in perfect order. You have everything that you need. You are safe in the mind of God. Allowing this remembrance is where all true power lies.”

Holy Spirit to Robert:  We are inseparable because I am your Self. If you do not experience Me as What you are, it is because you are believing in a false image of yourself. Because of this belief, it can be helpful to imagine that you hold My Hand as we walk together. This image serves as a bridge between your image of yourself as alone and the reality that we are the same. With practice, the seeming distinction between you and Me will fade. I will seem to be less and less a Companion and more and more What you know yourself to be.

When you have let go of all belief that you are in any way separated from Me, you will know we are joined in Heaven as we have always been. I will cease to seem to be distinct from you. You will cease to seem to be distinct from God. You will know the boundless joy of Love that you are. Your heart will sing in gratitude to the Source of Love as you extend Love eternally.

All this is yours. You will know it when you have forgiven the false image you have made of yourself. For now, it seems as though we journey together. It is a journey without distance to the Home you never left in truth.

The Joy of Now

Holy Spirit to Mary:  Watch your opinions about the world rise up in your mind, but do not keep them. Hand them over to Me. Your opinions are but reflections of thoughts you brought from the past. Be willing to let them all go. Remember, on your own, you know nothing.

Watch the opinions arise, but practice not believing in them. The world of separation is not true. It is only an opportunity to forgive or let go of the belief you have placed in it. As you consistently practice this, peace will replace your belief in differences. The joy of eternity will replace your belief in time. In order for you to experience this, you must watch these thoughts as they come up and hand them over. You need not carry them with you any longer. Herein lies your freedom. Herein lies you peace. Herein lies your joy.

Holy Spirit to Dorie:  Fear not! There is no attack, no matter how fearful, that can ever harm you or your brother. Remember this: Only Love is real. Provision is already made for the Sonship. There is no lack. There is no cause for fear. Fear may seem real, but it is only failure to see the truth in the moment. Rejoice! You are only Love. It is all you ever can be.

Holy Spirit to Robert:  Hold My Hand and walk with Me. I am ever present in your mind. I do not need you to hold My hand, for I know we are one. But it is helpful for you to see yourself as holding My hand as a symbol of our unity. Walk with Me. Together we walk a path of peace in joy. Together we walk safely in Love. Together we are the Light of Love’s Creation.

Hold your heart open to the Light of Love in all your doing. Let the Light of Love guide you in each moment. This Light will shine away the ego’s complications and sense of limitation. In the Light of Love, time recedes into the past and now becomes your reality. Hold My hand and we will experience Now together. Alone this experience is impossible, but together we bring the whole Sonship with us into Heaven.

Have a Happy Day

Holy Spirit to Robert: Do you want to have a happy day? Then let Me take the lead. My goal for you I share with God and it is your perfect happiness. Give up your private plans; your wishes to have things the way you want them. On your own you have no idea what will make you happy or bring you pain. Your “database” for decision making is incomplete and leads inevitably to flawed decisions. My database is All That is.

What I bring to you not only assures you happiness, but also gives the same gift to all your brothers. Would you not want to share this gift? Of course you would, because there is no greater joy than this! The more you practice turning over all your choices to Me, the greater will be your joy; the greater will be your peace.

Mary:  I am seeing the value of just letting go of the thoughts that come into my mind. I don’t have to fight them. I don’t have to judge them. What is most helpful is just simply to step back and give them over to the Holy Spirit — just let them go because I see that they mean nothing and are nothing. They have no value to me. They are merely not important. This empty space makes room for what is important. This is true simplicity. This is the true meaning of “I need do nothing” that the Course speaks of. As I simply practice letting go, what is really there will show up. Peace comes to a quiet and open mind.

Holy Spirit to Dorie:  Keep it simple. See only Love. Walk in Love. Be the Love. You will find the Love in the peace of silence.

There Is Only Oneness

Holy Spirit to Mary:  There is only Oneness. There is only Love. Let yourself soak in this remembering as you go through your day. There is only oneness in God’s Love. What is real is God’s Love. Anything else is not real. Let yourself soak in that remembering today. Let it bring you peace.

Today take any thought that does not reflect God’s Love to your inner Teacher for it to be undone. Let the Light of Love shine all thoughts of being separate and alone, weak and vulnerable, sick and tired. Let the Holy Spirit shine all these false ideas away.

You are only Love, because Love is all there is. Rest in Love today. Feel Love’s innate peace and happiness and extend it to every brother.

Dorie: God is but Love and therefore so am I. I would be set apart for no other purpose. Love is all there is. It matters not what I am doing. It matters not where I am. All that matters is the knowledge that I am Your Love.

Self to Annie:  When you look at your thoughts with Holy Spirit, all thoughts that aren’t true or loving will fall away. Only Love will remain in your mind because only loving thoughts belong there. Consecrate your mind to Holy Spirit today and the remembrance of Love will softly return to your mind.

Holy Spirit to Sharyn: Be you so blessed as you remember your oneness with Me. Remembering the truth that you are Love and so is everyone else is probably the most important thing for you to do. Things that you think are important sometimes mean nothing. What is important is that you see your brothers as one with you. Just as you took Jesus off the pedestal and he became one with you, this must be done with all your brothers and sisters.

You are not better than anyone and no one else is better than you. There is only one you. There is only one Mind, which is the Mind of God. It is all the same, one Mind of God. There are no differences. Seeing yourselves as one with every brother and sister will change your minds forever. There will be no going back to separation. Oneness will prevail.

Robert:  In many places in the Course we are invited to take our brother’s hand. This gesture is a symbol of our acceptance of our brother as one with us. It is only through this acceptance of oneness that we will experience the Home we never truly left. As we are able to release the past and open our hearts to the joyous and loving present we move toward the full experience of being the Love of God.
