Receive Peace. Extend Peace.

The peace of God is shining in you now, and from your heart extends around the world. It pauses to caress each living thing, and leaves a blessing with it that remains forever and forever. What it gives must be eternal. It removes all thoughts of the ephemeral and valueless. It brings renewal to all tired hearts, and lights all vision as it passes by. All of its gifts are given everyone, and everyone unites in giving thanks to you who give, and you who have received. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.188.3)

The greatest gift we can receive and give is the gift of God’s peace. It purifies our mind of all wandering thoughts and brings with it a sense of well being, safety and caring. Its kind Light extends through us to the world. God’s gift of peace sets everything right again, when we feel lost and unsettled. It brings us back to our Source, where we belong. It is our rudder, our safety, as we travel in the rough seas of constant change in this world.

Receiving God’s gift of peace brings all the inspiration we need with any circumstance we encounter. We open to the Light and the Light leads us Home. Receiving peace purifies our view of the world so we can see clearly. Today our practice is to focus on receiving peace and as we receive peace, we just naturally extend it to the world.
