Receiving True Perception

In quietness is [the Light of peace] acknowledged universally. For what your inward vision looks upon is your perception of the universe.

Sit quietly and close your eyes. The light within you is sufficient. It alone has power to give the gift of sight to you. Exclude the outer world, and let your thoughts fly to the peace within. They know the way. For honest thoughts, untainted by the dream of worldly things outside yourself, become the holy messengers of God Himself. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.188.5:6-6:1-6)

True perception is right there in our minds waiting to be accepted. As we are willing to close our eyes and open to the Light within, the Light of our true Self is naturally welcomed into our mind. The distractions disappear and are replaced by peace and clarity. What does not matter is shined away and the insight needed is naturally there, without effort. Simple, uncomplicated Love replaces all the complexity of the world. All this comes when we are willing to accept the true perception of our Self.
