Sharing Our Inheritance of God’s Love

God, being Love, is also happiness.

Let me remember love is happiness, and nothing else brings joy. And so I choose to entertain no substitutes for love.

I seek but what belongs to me in truth.

Love is my heritage, and with it joy. These are the gifts my Father gave to me. I would accept all that is mine in truth. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 117, W-pI.117. See also ACIM Lesson 117 Insights.)

This world is the outward picture of the ego’s rejection of God’s Love and joy. We do not have to accept the ego’s version of reality. It is not true.

Today we pay attention to our state of mind. Are we at peace? Are we happy? Do we feel the Love of God in our hearts and see It in our brothers? If the answer to any of these questions is no or not completely, then we are still hanging on to the ego’s rejection of God’s Love.

And so we say: Holy Spirit, I give my thoughts and beliefs to you. Help me see past the ego’s substitutes for Love. Help me see with Your vision the eternal presence of God’s Love and joy everywhere. I am willing to accept my inheritance from my Father and share It with all my brothers, who are one with me.
